Cauliflower tacos- extremely sweet and had no other flavor!
    Radhika B.

Their patio is cute. But other than that, the food and service were not so great! Our server kept disappearing for large intervals of time and when we had some requests on the food, she was getting annoyed and impatient. She wasn't even busy. The restaurant was kind empty. She kept hanging out by the bar and we had to go get her for our check and then later for paying our check as well. Ordered the truffle guacamole which was very basic. There was no flavor of truffle. Also ordered the cauliflower tacos which were extremely sweet. Also- maybe some like this- but the music was super loud. Impossible to sit inside which is why we sat on the patio but then they raised the volume even more which made sitting out on the patio unbearable as well.

I came here to try their Taco Tuesday special with a margarita flight, chips & dip, and unlimited tacos. They offered 12 different tacos that represented various countries around the world, allowing you to taste "the globe" in tacos. It's very creative, and I enjoyed all the tacos I tried. My favorites were the bang bang cauliflower and Greek chicken. The total came out to around $45/person with tip. We didn't make a reservation and were seated outside, but I would recommend making a reservation just in case. The servers brought out tacos one at a time, similar to a Brazilian steak house, so you don't choose them beforehand. It was a lot of fun and well worth the price. I would come back again! They also have a nice outdoor patio for groups, so if you want to host a gathering, this would be a great place to try.

We made reservations on one of the busiest nights, Valentines Day evening. We were greeted and seated right away. The ambiance was dark and festive, and I was surprised they played a lot of pop music. It seemed to take longer than expected to have a waitress take our order. We glanced at the Valentines menu and quickly realized that was the best deal. We eventually ordered our meal all at once. Including some mocktails that we were excited to try. The chops and salsa came out along with the guacamole first. We seemed to wait a bit before my appetizer of choice, the elote came out. Once it did, I was pleased with it. The steak and potato as the second course was ok. The meat was seasoned well. It was just the smallest of steak portions, plenty potatoes covered with lettuce. I enjoyed my steak tacos along with the churros. Overall I thought the meal was great. I could tell the vibes from the kitchen to the bar to the waitstaff was busy. It was hard to track someone down to take a few quick photos of my date. But once we did it was epic. Also I like that they have it where you can pay for the meal by scanning a QR code.

Due to 2 separate events there were only a few tables open to people not attending an event. It was so loud in the restaurant due to the events that we regretted our decision to dine there. We ordered chips and guacamole and they came out the same time as our dinner (tacos). We did not request the chips and guacamole to come out first because we didn't think we had to since the chips and guacamole was an appetizer. My pet peeve is all the food coming out at once. Food was good but the noise and food coming out at once ruined the dining experience.

My 2nd times here Taco Tuesday. This time I brought my daughter. The unlimited tacos is a huge draw and tge party starts at 5pm. The restaurant huge and has outside dining as well. So many tacos options faves were Califlowr tacos and perch and the tuna amazing! I will be back!

Swung by Barcocina for Sunday Brunch. The service was a delight and food was tasty. It's a bit empty, which was shocking to me, because it's definitely a vibe.

Well fellow yelpers let me start by saying it was a nice place. I went on a Tuesday for taco Tuesday special which consist of unlimited Tacos a flight of three margaritas with an option to add a fourth for five dollars. The drinks were good. My favorite was the jalapeño margarita, which was great. The main reason I went, there was to try their Tacos. They were mediocre at best although it was a great deal. All you can eat Tacos. My favorite was the cauliflower Taco and the Steak Taco also. I would not recommend The chicken Tinga taco. Although I can't complain, I was full when I left Barcocina gets 2 stars because their Tacos were OK. If you were looking for a place to vibe or chill have drinks I definitely recommend stopping in I say go on a Tuesday so you can try different tacos. . I think the service was great. Our server was Parker and she was very good.

Great service and really good drinks! I got the steak and pork tacos to go (sorry no pics). Steak was really good and my fav, pork was just ok. House party marg was really good too!

Came here last week with one of my girlfriends. It was surprisingly quiet. We ended up ordering from the Restaurant Week menu. It was a great deal and everything was delicious. Standouts for me were the bang bang shrimp tacos and the blood orange Paloma. Our waitress was attentive and informative.

This place is spacious. There's globe seating out doors, the main restaurant floor and then a party room in the back. The staff were very friendly. Being restaurant week I was able to try plenty for a reasonable price. The spicy truffle corn was my favorite. The Quesabirria Tacos were good. I also had the chicken tinga tacos. I wanted more flavor from the chicken tacos but I was able to dress it up with the different sauces. I wanted to try the steak tacos but I know I'll go back.

A few girl friends and I came to for dinner Barcocina during our recent trip. We had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We booked an outdoor igloo for $75 per person (+tax & tip) which included huge portions of food & unlimited drinks for two hours. This was an incredible price in my opinion. First off the igloo was super cute, kept us very warm and the highlight was the speaker inside for us to connect and play our own music. This would be so perfect for a birthday, bachelorette party or any special occasion. The food was so so good! My favorites were the steak quesadilla and shrimp tacos. Those were must orders for sure! The cheeseburger was probably my least favorite but I loved the unique option. The spicy marg is a must if you like spicy. It had the perfect amount of heat. To top off this experience our server, Abby, was the best. She consistently made sure to check in on us and ensure the heat, food & drinks were all great. She also helped us take the best group photos. We also met the GM, Cisco. He made sure we were well taken care of too. Super awesome all around!

Service was so quick and attentive! Their patio is dog friendly which is a huge plus and they gave ample seating and heaters for the chilly nights! The music was great and the food was fine! This is a place you come more so for vibes and drinks than food id say! The Guac though was amazing and is a must order! We got free marg flights as part of a deal they were running and the "when I met you in the summer" was by far the groups favorite

I was surprised this place was so quiet on a Sunday, we had such a great time! Drinks, food, service, you name it and it was good. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular here. We unfortunately showed up right after their brunch ended but it seemed like they had a really great brunch deal! I was not super hungry so I ordered the salmon bites and they were pretty small (haha picture shown) but I understood as it was an appetizer & not full meal. Even though it was a bit pricey. Drinks were top notch and vibes were the same! If you haven't been to Barcocina, I recommend giving it a go. Thanks Barcocina, hope to see you soon! Personal Review: 7.7/10

They truly go above and beyond to make sure they deliver great customer service. They'll do little things like offer you a free taco of their Birria while you wait for your food. Go to any market in Mexico and they'll treat you the exact same. Unfortunately for them their original Southside location is closed due to a fire but they'll be back hopefully soon! My son and daughter both ordered their Birria Tacos, my wife ordered their Quesabirria tacos and I ordered their Tazon Chico of their carnaza Birria of course. It also came with a side of their handmade tortillas. Everything tasted so fresh and the Birria was very delicious. So much flavor in the consome. Ordering the tazon is definitely they way to go here because you get the meat in the consome. But if you wanted meat only, you have the option of ordering their plato instead. Regardless of what you order here, you won't go wrong. Enjoy!

Despite their well-earned fame, this spot keeps the humble, hole-in-the-wall energy intact, small, unpretentious, and staffed by some genuinely warm and welcoming people. Pop in, grab a seat, and let them do the rest. My fiancé and I shared the quesabirria combo, two quesabirrias with consomé, a Mexican Coke, and a Jamaica, and honestly, everything was amazing. The Jamaica alone deserves its own shoutout: perfectly balanced, not too bitter, not too sweet, and exactly what you need to cut through the heat of the food. The tacos came out piping hot, prepped right in front of us, loaded with cheese and packed with flavor. The consomé was warming, rich, and perfectly spiced, the kind of broth that makes you want to tip the bowl. And the accompaniments (onion, cilantro, peppers, lime, and salsa) give you full control to doctor things up to your liking. For spice lovers, this setup is a dream. My one gripe, and the sole reason I'm docking a star, is the price. At around $30 for two tacos, a consomé, and drinks, it's a tough pill to swallow. As a Mexican American, there's something about that price point that pulls me slightly out of the authentic experience I was hoping for. I fully respect the craft and passion behind this food, but it's worth noting. That said? Don't let it stop you. This food is incredible, and I'll absolutely be back.

Really awesome space at a crowded downtown location. Foods were served on nice metal holders or disposable/environmentally friendly containers and utensils. The tacos were huge, and I love that they focus on the variety of vegetables on the taco, which is often overlooked at other places. Veggies also make the taco look beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the tikka paneer, the paneer was soft for paneer but firmer than tofu, a really great texture. And the flavor wasn't overpowering. The tikka sauce was light, which I am totally fine with. The chicken quesadilla was also made well and of good value, the kids all really liked it. The salmon was good too but didn't really stand out as much, but appreciate the variety veggies on top! The mexi-Cali shrimp bowl was not bad either, but also didn't stand out much. The shrimp was good but I prefer it cooked even lighter if possible. Flavor was good tho. The rice was long grain, which I prefer, but they do give quite a lot, I ended up having quite a lot leftover. I wish the had a bit more cilantro or other herby mix to increase the depth of flavor, but overall still pretty good. Queso was also really good, thick and creamy, not too salty, but sadly the kids didn't like it as much. Husband also liked the gochujang pork a lot, said it was actually really really good. Overall, we really enjoyed everything we had there. Love that they also had paper towels everywhere. My preferred method of keeping clean haha. Will definitely come back.
