In fact, I was quite surprised to see the previous bad reviews, but it has been more than 3 years, so I have to believe they have made a conscious effort to improve their service. Glen O.

I went to have a dress hemmed and was charged $120. The only alteration was shortening the length…read more The dress was brand new with the tags still attached and had originally cost about $80. Before leaving a review, I tried multiple times to understand the charge because it seemed unusually high. I called four times, as well as the day I dropped the dress off, and also stopped in person hoping to speak with the tailor or owner. I wanted to make sure there wasn't a misunderstanding or error before posting a negative review, but I was never able to get a clear explanation of the pricing. Afterward, I spoke with other local tailors and showed them the dress. Based on their feedback, the cost I was charged was significantly higher than expected. If there was a reason for the pricing, I would have appreciated the opportunity to have it explained. They have always been convenient for dry cleaning, and I've had positive experiences with that service. However, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering alterations ask for a detailed quote upfront and make sure they clearly understand the pricing before leaving their garment.

Let me start by saying that I have never written an online review of a store before this one…read more.. ever. The experience I had at Palmer's today was by far the best I've ever had from a drycleaners. I found out via email today (midday Sunday) that a company I'm interviewing at asked me to come in tomorrow at 3:00pm. I frantically searched the web for a drycleaners that was open on Sunday - let alone one that could get a full suit drycleaned overnight for Monday morning. Amazingly, Palmer's said it was no problem. Not only that, but when I got there both of the clerks were alerted that I was coming in and knew me by name. It was great, friendly service, an extremely fair price, and they went out of their way to fill my order. I will go back here as often as I can.

The staff was super polite and it appears to be family owned. I dropped off a 3 year old cream colored winter coat (I know, who buys a white coat?!) which has never been cleaned before and they got it to look almost new. The best part was that it only cost me $16.75. Another chain place nearby told me it would cost over $35. That's bananas! PROs: super easy parking, cheaper than any franchise cleaner in the area, excellent quality, good customer service, local family run business. Thank you Royal Cleaners!

To keep it simple, here are the pros: -VERY reasonable dry cleaning prices (you can compare for yourselves with surrounding cleaners) -Consistent, quality dry cleaning -Honest, genuinely nice owners (been in the business for over 20 years?? or something) who really give some serious TLC to your clothes -ALSO, tailoring & alterations which are def. useful because I'm always adjusting pants because I'm shorter. To expand upon my own positive experiences, there have been countless times when the owners went above and beyond your typical dry cleaners: helping me get clothes back when I was in a rush, always returning items that are found in pockets, and fixing loose buttons that are about to fall off. (Just to let you know in advance, the owners' English may be limited but that's certainly not to say they don't know what they're doing.) Con: -A couple of times, my items weren't done by the time I went to go pick them up but they're always been really apologetic and mistakes happen. Definitely will not be going anywhere else. They're really nice, pretty cool people and always a positive experience when I go. Hope this was helpful to anyone in the area.
