Definitely the cleanest laundromat Ive ever been in.. Chris the attendant is always courteous kind and helpful. Prices are great also.

I don't write many reviews. I take the time when I find an item or service that is above & beyond. That is true about Salem Laundry in Salem, NH. I've been going to this laundromat for the last six months on a weekly basis. It's always immaculate. The prices are reasonable. The machines are well kept and never have the smell of mildew. My clothes go home clean & smelling like my laundry detergent and not some funky smell (like at so many other laundromats). I usually go to the Salem Laundromat on the same day & time each week. I've been fortunate to become acquainted with the attendant, Chris, who is a big reason I'm such a fan of this business. He's attentive & kind to the customers especially the ones who need a little extra help which included me on my first time. Chris's presence also makes it a friendly place to be. Almost everyone who walks through the door says "Hi Chris" when entering. I appreciate Chris being there each week. At the laundromat I used previous to Salem Laundomat, the attendant practically growled when you entered. Or worse, going to a laundromat without an attendant, where it's messy & you see all kinds of unpleasant things going on. Unless you want to be yelled at by staff I would go to a different laundromat in Salem. The man who works here is miserable and constantly harasses customers. I went in to wash a couple of large blankets as they are too big for my washing machine. From the minute I walked in, this man was micro-managing how I placed the blankets in the machine, and after they ran, how there was dog hair and lint left in one of the machines I had used. The man wanted me to pay $7.50 to run the machine again, he said this is their policy. Since there is no signage indicating such a practice is required, I offered to clean it myself with disinfectant. The man refused to allow me to clean the machine but continued to publicly yell at me for washing a dirty blanket. I told the man that I would not be back and he said he would be sending my picture to the laundromat across the street so they wouldn't allow me in. So I was publicly yelled at and apparently banned from this laundromat. I would pre-wash your clothes before going and don't make eye contact with the employees here. read more

Very clean , affordable , kind and helpful workers always do laundry here and have never had any problems the owner is wonderful and I typically do laundry myself but they do offer full service cleaning and dry cleaning. One of if not the best place I've went to do my laundry. read more

Lucky enough to do laundry indoor when it's 48 degrees unless you have to attempt to sit inside so the door is immediately propped open when you arrive and you have to go sit in your vehicle as it is warmer than sitting inside/ next to the door that is open. read more

I started coming here about a year and half ago, coming in with large loads of laundry, the staff was great and I do t know if it's just because I went from going to the day to going in during the evening but my experience with the staff went from well to horrible. When ever I see the blond shirt hair women working I just turn around. I have never heard a nice thing come out of her mouth, even when she not walking by making remarks under her breath about everything down to the fact I use trash bags as laundry bags. Everytime some one walks in she rolls her eyes. The last straw was when I walked in at 5 15 and she told me I couldn't wash my clothes....(last wash is at 530) And stated she didn't want be there all night. I'm just going to go across the street for now on thank you. read more

I will NEVER go again! The customer service is VILE and dryers did not dry! I had 8 large contractor bags full of laundry, which took up most of the triple load washers, the attendant then said to my adult son, you can put more in that washer, as i turned around and stated i will take care of it, she then proceeded with complaining how he could but more in? in the middle of this a "regular" customer came in and she said sorry joe all big machines are used up (his load easily could have fit in a medium sized washer) the attendant resumed her rant to me about how HER CUSTOMERS??? I stopped her and told her I AM A CUSTOMER TOO, Who is about to spend $100 on laundry!!! SMDH!! If I didn't already had my clothes in washers, i would have left! BUT BEWARE IF YOU ARE NOT REGULAR CUSTOMER YOU WILL BE TREATED BADLY!!! read more

The attitude of the blonde female who works there is just nasty! She doesn't like to be bothered snapped when I asked her to make change! I interrupted her crossword puzzle! If you work in customer service you should be able to deal with people. read more

The morning staff is great. The night staff, mainly the short blond female that doesn't like to wear her mask and coughs and smokes constantly. She needs to go. She's an inconsiderate troll. read more

I really liked this laundromat up until 3 months ago, they have several 3 loaders for 6.25, and it was easier to have big washers available, Sunshine laundromat is directly across the street and they are always so helpful but only had 3 ,3 loaders now they have more , the reason for the low review is the people that work at Salem laundromat use up all the 3 loaders and dryers doing outside laundry. I've tried at least 4 times recently. Sunshine is always always busier, yet they do outside laundry but are very considerate and use just what's close to their area. read more

This was my first time in a laundromat in many many years. I needed a large capacity washer and dryer, so I looked online and found Salem Laundry. I will give 5 stars to the wonderful employee, Linda, who walked me through the process. She was so helpful and kind. Will definitely return for any large items needing special handling! read more

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The machines are always clean and in perfect working order. Very reasonably priced. The recent renovations have made it that much better. We have several coin-op laundries in the area.. I choose Salem Laundry hands down. read more

The most positive thing about this place is the staff is friendly. However, the place gives you these vines of being unsanitary. It took forever for my clothes to dry. And no, I didn't overload the dryer either. I felt I spent more money on the drying than the washing. read more

After trying several laundry services for my shirts, I got hooked on this one. It is the least inexpensive in the Salem NH area ($2 including starch, per shirt, during holidays may even be lower). Most important is that the jobs is well done, so without wrinkles and on time. Plenty of parking. Is located just a few block off highway 28/Broadway on right side. read more

After making the rounds of coin-op laundries in the Andover, N.Andover, Wilmington and even Methuen areas,I stumbled upon The Salem Laundry and am so pleased, that I travel from Andover just to do my laundry. I find that not only are the washers and dryers in good working order, but they are also kept very clean, as is the entire establishment.I also brought some clothes in for dry cleaning and they came out great! The staff is accommodating, helpful and pleasant, and the prices are about average!I just became aware that this is a family business,and it is obvious that they work very hard for their customers!I I am glad I found this Laundry and if you are as frustrated as I was searching for a decent place...search no more! read more

I am a local and I've been doing laundry here for a long time (self service) but I will no longer be a regular customer, this place has become unsanitary. Most of the washers smell like mildew, it hits you right in the face when you open the washer doors. I always check the detergent area before I put my own stuff in because often times their are left overs from who knows how many washes, absolutely repulsive to see some thick nasty powder/ soap residue build up. I don't feel like my clothes are getting clean here, I feel like I may catch Hepatitis. I've had brand new clothes destroyed by grease stains due to the fact the washer tubs are not cleaned regularly with bleach. People come here and throw all kinds of nasty stuff in those washers with little to no regard for the general public unfortunate enough to have to wash their personables here. Management clearly doesn't have any consideration for that either. They also have started charging for plastic bags. Wow. I spend 10 to 20 per visit but clearly that's not enough for such a low class dirty laundromat. The staff are great, all really friendly, probably the only reason I kept going back...but i can no longer flush my money down the toilet, cause the facility is dirty, or risking permanent damage to my clothing because regular maintenance is not done. I have skin allergies as well, so this place has become a health hazard to me and my family . I get hives just thinking about it. I literally took my clothes across the street and rewashed them. Unacceptable and disgusting. read more
