D'Berto's Pizza -- listen, I don't hand these out. The food here is consistently fantastic. I eat until my stomach's threatenin' the structural integrity of my pants. Buttons popping right off. Worth it. The pizza? Out of this world. You take a bite and forget whatever nonsense was stressin' you out that day. The penne vodka? Fuggedaboutit. If somebody told me it was bad, I'd know they were lyin' through their teeth--or confused or got a touch of the tism. This place delivers every single time. No drama. No excuses. Just great food and portions that show respect. They cook to feed the people and I love them for that. Five stars, easy. Anyone rating it less? Stopped in for dinner after an early movie on a Tuesday evening. Pizza looked good, but we were in the mood for a different Italian speciality. After looking at the menu, that has all the regular Italian American fare, we both said eggplant parmigiana at the same time. We ordered one "hero", I'm from lower Westchester County where it is known as a wedge, and a dinner with salad and ziti on the side. A very tasty sliced Italian bread was placed on the table with some butter. We had to ask for some olive oil which was promptly brought to the table by the very friendly waiter. Then the entrees were delivered. I'm so sorry to say that the eggplant parmigiana left a lot to be desired. It was thickly coated with breadcrumbs. The sauce was thick and slightly bitter. Most of both weren't eaten. Since we had plenty of room for dessert we ordered the cannoli . Two absolutely delicious cannoli came with our well made Cappuccinos. Dinner was disappointing but the dessert more than made up for it. Will return to try the pizza. (Really going back for another cannoli.) read more

This was the last straw for us. I'm so tired of ordering a sub with oil vinegar and mayo on the dam sandwich and they never do it, they always put it on the side. Well tonight it wasn't even on the side, totally dry and nothing in the bag! I ordered a sausage and pepper roll and got a wedge, and no ranch on the chicken bacon ranch wrap! This used to be our go-to spot for pizza. The food was great. The service was good. Now? Forget it. The order is never correct. Something is usually missing even though they've charged you for it. My husband was told 25 mins for a pick up and when he arrived there, they put our order in the oven making him waiting an additional 15 minutes with no apology. Our calzones weren't even fully cooked when we got home. It's unacceptable. With changes in staff we tried to ride it out but it's gotten worse and worse. Shame to see this place go so far south so quickly. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I have been absolutely loving d'Berto's!! We have so many pizza places in Mahopac and I feel like they've been going downhill. I was looking for a new place to try The pizza is great and their specialty slices have a great amount of toppings. Especially love the vegetable pizza!! I love their vodka sauce, and their pasta dishes are reasonably priced -- $14 for salad, great portion of pasta, and bread on the side. Excited to try more things here! read more

New York City pizza in Carmel, NY. Amazing staff, the happy hour deals are unbeatable. The calamari scarpiello - baby it hurts sooooo good. It gets super busy at times but you know you're waiting for top notch food so don't go on (insert weekday / weekend times lunch and dinner) and thinking you'll be out in a timely manner. Saturday April 14, 2018 the 6 of us went for dinner at d'Berto's Pizzeria. Although there was a large party of 40 people, the service provided to us by the staff was excellent. They call it a Pizzeria, because they sell Pizza, but it also could have been called a restaurant, or Osteria, a Trattoria. It's an Italian restaurant servicing the best Italian food, not just pizza. After 4 months forced to be closed due to renovation, its a pleasure to be able to dine at d'Berto. From now on we not only will take out pizza, but become regulars at the restaurant. Great food, great staff and service and great prices. Glad you're back. read more

Never order from this place! When I have gotten my order wrong, they blame it on the slice app but do nothing to make it right. Pathetic. So many better places in mahopac and as any resident knows there are plenty of pizza places. read more

This was an awful experience. Stay away. Food took almost 2 hours when we had been told 45 minutes after we ordered. When I called to say that we were going out and might not be home when the delivery came, the manager got on the phone and said that he "didn't have time to talk. It's a Friday night, and asked me rudely what I wanted him to do about it?" The manager acted like I was an EXTREME bother. Not a polite bone in his body. The girl taking the order never said anything but "yep" and then hung up. Worst experience ever. I do not know who would wait for 2 hours for their food, with cacciatiori's and mike and joe's in the same town. This place doesn't appreciate their customers and the level of rudeness was OFF THE CHARTS. read more
