Everything we had here were so delicious that I woke up the next day still relishing the sweetness of the food coma and smacking my lips at the d'arcy pint dream I woke from. Fried green tomatoes. DELICIOUS. Brittany wedge salad. DELECTABLE. The deluxe ponyshoe. SCRUMPTIOUS. The supreme horseshoe. PERFECTION. I am actually glad I don't live near Springfield because if I did, I would probably end eating here every day five times a day and meeting an early demise from overconsumption of delicious foods. Big space with an Irish theme and famous for their "horseshoe." This is a dish that is basically Texas toast, topped with meat, fries, some other toppings, and cheese. I personally went with the Buffalo Chicken to give it a try. It was quite good, but definitely more calories than one should eat in probably an entire day! Seems like a popular spot. Busy for a Wednesday at lunch which is a good sign. We had an open face turkey sandwich that my husband enjoyed but wasn't his fave. The Buffalo wings were a little sweet and I didn't care for them. I had the chili and a salad. Was disappointed in the ranch dressing. Was recommended by a local, and I was not disappointed. This place is great from being greeted at the door to getting my check at the end. Was on my own so sat at the bar. I was amazed how each of the 4 bartenders interacted with each other and with me. I was told to get a horse shoe and that was amazing (side note, a pony shoe is plenty). I was driving by, saw the building and stopped. It is a great place for a beer and good conversation with extremely friendly locals.

Service was great. Ordered an appetizer, sauted mushrooms, with cheese, and crusty bread. No cheese but lots of mushrooms. Would not order again. Ordered pot roast dinner to go. Came packed and bagged. When got home missing mash potatoes, gravey, soup. Only had meat and microwaved frozen vegetables. Called and they will make it right. I've been going to D'arcy's for several years now. There are a lot of other restaurants in the area that make horseshoes, but here is where the locals always suggests. The restaurant gets busy, VERY BUSY. Beware. We arrived 15 mjnutes after opening on a Sunday, and there was already an hour wait. We ended up getting a seat at the bar, but if you're thinking of going during standard meal time, prepare for a wait. I always order the chicken pony shoe, but this time I sprung for the buffalo chicken pony and it was incredible! They have a full service bar and a full menu for those not wanting a horseshoe. What a cute place. We took my stepmom here on a Friday afternoon because she was really wanting to try it. It was a great choice. Food was fantastic. Reuben sandwich, spinach salad and fish and chips- all were delicious. Portions were generous. Plus they had malt vinegar for fish! That's a must. Our waitress was the one factor keeping the his from 5 stars. She didn't seem to like any request. And I not talking weird asks either ie sugar should be common. She never told us the specials of the day. We overheard her tell another table when we were halfway through our meal. First time coming to this hidden gem. My in laws come once a week and rave about it. My mother in law says their moscato is secretly made cold and very refreshing. I tried their Irish cheesesteak pony shoe. Enough food for at least 2 people. My husband tried the spicy horseshoe and finished his whole plate. (Not sure how). The cheese sauce is so fresh tasting. My kids had their corn dogs and chicken tenders. They said it was the best kids meals and they go out a lot. If you visit Springfield you must stop. Be prepared for wait though. Visited on a Friday night. We only had to wait 15 minutes to get a table. My son had the Horseshoe, which is their signature dish. I didn't care much for it but my son loved it. I had the Hawaiian chicken salad and it was very good. Chicken was grilled perfectly. Service was excellent. Our waiter checked on us many times.
