Darius is a very knowledgeable certified arborist. He is extremely professional and friendly. I live in a heavily wooded lot and asked him to assess the health of all my trees and let me know which ones needed to come down as 2 had just previously collapsed on their own. He arrived with a smile and a hand shake and took me around my property while describing the health of each tree I have in great detail. He then sent a detailed estimate along with his company insurance. You can tell he doesn't want to take down any trees that don't need to be taken down - a mark of a true arborist that loves nature. He is also great at suggesting and making offers for trees to improve the landscape. I found his pricing reasonable, especially for the workmanship. read more

The best experience ever! Very quick response, super friendly, and incredibly informative. D came out to let me know about my trees and his crew showed up quickly to do all the work a few days later. They clearly know what they are doing and they do an amazing job with all the right tools. They were excellent, on-time, and cleaned up all the branches and leaves. My yard looks great now! read more

Darius (owner) and team did a phenomenal job removing a 100 year old silver maple from our yard. Clean, efficient and great follow through.

Was very prompt in coming out to look at the work that needed to be done. He told me to text him my email, I did, never heard from him. Texted him again, never heard. Texted one more time, he called back and said he had no information and no estimate prepared. He said he would keep looking or give me a call to reschedule another estimate. I never heard anything else from him. To his credit, after I posted this review, he did reach out to apologize and offer a discount. I'd already booked with another company, but do appreciate the gesture. Edit in response to Darius's response below... here is communication where I sent my email address and he said he would contact me. He never did. Not sure how he can claim he never received my email address read more

Called them on 7/11/22, it is now 7/30/22 and I never heard from them. They are located probably less than 2 miles from me so I don't understand why they couldn't even return my call. Wouldn't waste my time with them. read more

This company was great to work with. They are quick, reliable and fairly priced. We had several old bushes to be pulled out, as well as tree trimming. They got the work done, took out the stumps and removed all the debris. I highly recommend them. read more

Darius was extremely responsive, affordable and did a stand-up job! We had three dying trees and he quickly assessed the trees, then removed the trees and grounded the stumps within two days. He and his crew were incredibly tidy as well! read more

Darius was very quick to respond to my call. Actually came out next day to provide a quote for work we needed done. While he was at our place I had a neighbor who needed a quote for some work. Happily walked over and gave them a quote also. Their pricing was very fair he was very knowledgeable about the entire process & more than willing to answer any questions. Naturally we used them to remove a tree and trim another at our home. Also used them to remove a tree at another home I own. Can't say enough about what a great job they did excellent clean up. It's funny since my neighbor used them in addition to 3 other neighbors. I joked with Darius that I should get some type of commission for all the referrals I gave him. 6 total homes from 1 phone call. Excellent work I would use them again without hesitation. read more

Super quick to come out and assess the tree to give me an estimate. He explained the process, how many people it would take, and the machinery involved. He also said he would provide a quote that same day, and he did! The guys came out, made quick work of the tree, cleaned up the yard, and then another worker came to grind the stump. And the price was really, really, really reasonable! read more

Wow! I am very impressed by the work done by D Arbor Masters. We had two massive trees and one small tree taken down. The work was done very well and very fast. Now all we have to do is plant grass and it'll be perfect. They even went the extra mile and ground up a small bit of stump that was left behind from another tree removal by another company. Darius was friendly and great to work with as well as all the other workers. D Arbor Masters was also the best out of four quotes we got. They also plant trees, so when we're ready for that they'll be the first place we'll call. read more

Although i decided to go in a different direction I have to say the owner is very responsive and estimate given was fair for the work involved. He was very responsive and seemed knowledgeable as far as trees goes. He provided me insurance paperwork with the estimate and was fast to respond to my yelp message. Thanks read more

If we could give 10 stars, we would. The team was prompt, efficient, tidy, and very personable. Their quote was provided in a very timely manner and at a very fair price. Darius was incredibly professional and we would absolutely recommend. So many times you are quoted a time of arrival for service and you're waiting and waiting. If Darius said he was going to be at the house at 8, he was there at 8. read more

Called this company for two days and left a message to return the call. Never heard from them.

They did a great job removing a plum tree that was rotten with black fungus. They came quickly to give a quote, explained what was going on with the tree, came a few day later to remove it, left us the wood for firewood and then ground down the stump - for a very reasonable price. read more

Very responsive and a great value. We had an obnoxiously large pile of branches piled up in our driveway from pruning our juniper bushes. Great experience, they removed a large tree quickly and cleaned it all up after. And my 6 year old just loved watching the whole thing!

Fantastic service from Darius and crew, even sent them to my parents house afterwards

D Arbor Masters did a great job! I messaged them on Sunday evening because a branch fell during the crazy winds Sunday afternoon. By Monday morning at 7:30am I had a quote which was by far the most reasonable out of all of the quotes I received. When I came home from work Monday at 6pm the branch was gone, the yard was clean, and an invoice in my inbox for easy electronic payment. Would definitely use them again if I ever needed! read more

Loved working with D Arbor Masters. The price was very fair and 1/3rd of another quote I got for the same removal. I was very happy with the service provided by D arbor. I requested a quote for some bush removals and they were out the next day. Darius was VERY knowledgeable on the type of bushes and the invading bushes also creeping into the area. The price was very fair and I was told they could come out next week so I signed them up to do the work. Much to my pleasant surprise I received a message a few days later that they could come out the current week! The quality of the work was great also the area was left so neat you wouldn't have even known there were bushes there let alone some were removed. Highly recommended read more

I found D Arbor Masters here on yelp. Darius was quick to respond and did a great job on a large hedge removal, some small tree removals and the pruning of a very large tree. He was honest and priced fairly. I will definitely call him again next year. read more

We used D Arbor in May 2019 to remove two huge pine trees from our backyard in Des Plaines. Darius came out the same day we called for the estimate. They removed both trees and trimmed one in 90 minutes. All the branches and clippings were picked up. They came back a few days later for the stump removal and back filled it with mulch and left some extra which we used in the front yard. Overall very pleased with their work and we think it was money well spent. We will be contacting them again next year for a landscape redesign! Thanks again Darius and his crew! read more

I was very impressed with Darius' prompt response to my request for an estimate. He is very knowledgable about the various species that had infiltrated my dogwood hedge. I also need extensive pruning for an overgrown crabapple tree and two dappled willows. His estimate was reasonable, the work was promptly scheduled. The crew did an excellent job, and their clean-up was amazing. The payment process is online and extremely convenient. read more

Nice guys, responded quickly, got to work just as fast. I hired them at my office building, and you should too.

From the start Darius was responsive and informative. He took time during the consultation to explain the steps for proper tree removal, the permit process, and what trees would be best to re-plant. Him and his team were quick and did a great job. Will definitely use D Arbor Masters again! read more

Darius came to my home for an estimate within a few days. Once we agreed on a price and I secured a permit for tree removal, he contacted the village to mark utilities and came out within 2 weeks to do the job. His crew was FAST! I was very impressed with their speed and the quality of their work. He cut the tree down in less than an hour and came back in the afternoon to grind the stump. He also gave great recommendations for what to replant in the areas that they removed trees/bushes. The yelp reviews on this company are not wrong. I highly recommend d arbor. read more

I got a couple quotes before going with D Arbor Masters. I ultimately chose them because they were extremely responsive, professional and seemed to actually know a lot about trees. I will use them again! read more

I don't write many reviews unless the service is really bad or really good. This arborist had great reviews and I needed serious advice about many trees and a failed magnolia that my landscaper had highly recommended and planted. Darius responded to my inquiry very promptly and was happy to meet me at my home over the weekend. (since I work ) We examined each tree, how to save some birches and what impressed me was his deep knowledge of each species and that he had no interest in trimming or pruning many large trees that he promised were in excellent condition and size. He does not expand the scope of his suggested work for more profit and he was out to prune the birches within 2 days before the winter ice and wind storms we had. What a great job and I can confirm his rates and fees are very reasonable. I'm sold on Darius and his crew and plan to be a long term customer over the years. JLW read more

We had a smallish silver maple that was mostly dead and over a sewer line that needed to come out. I chose D Arbor Masters because of the 5 star ratings on Yelp and I was not disappointed. Not a single speck of stray dirt. read more

They were the best!! Every other company we contacted never showed up or they would come and tell us "We do not remove big trees". Umm what? You are a tree removal! We are thankful we found D Arbor Masters!! The owner even showed up on a Sunday, and explained everything! He was a great joy to work with!
