Thank ya Jesus for Laine!! I have been having a hair crisis for what seems like an eternity now!! I went to Laine and trusted her and her referrals for the first time today. Should have done that a lonnnng time ago. She took everything I told her and transformed my locks into something magical and most importantly my self confidence. Thanks girl!! You have definitely gained a loyal new customer. Worth every penny and every mile I drove to get there. Hallelujah for good hair. read more

I have been to the D'anthony Salon twice for eyebrow waxing. The first experience was great so I made a second appointment. I visited today and I am absolutely devastated. My eyebrows are ruined. The lady who performed the wax had no plan of action she just started waxing away and I am left with very uneven, misshapen brows that will take months to grow back - IF they even grow back! read more

Love LAINE! I have gone to a few of the different stylists at this salon. All good, but I am most comfortable with her and love her suggestions for "something different". I trust her with my head. Thanks for keeping me "up to date" lady! Think I want to go with a little more contrast on my Balayage next time. ;-) read more

After losing my hair to cancer I had Alka give me a henna crown. She did an excellent job - it is beautiful!

I have come here a couple times. It's clean and the staff is friendly. Paloma is great for pedicures and Maria did a great job cutting my curly hair !! read more

Love this place. Maria is awesome. She does a great job everytime. Would recommend this to anyone!

Go see Monic for a cut and style. She's been doing my hair for years, and she's the only stylist I trust for my short trendy cuts! I can be a bit picky with my hair, but with Monic I never feel that way cause she's easy to talk to about what I'm looking for, and the end result is always prefect! No matter where you go girlie, I will follow ;-) read more

I'm so flabbergasted right now. I will say my stylist Ashley was always wonderful. BUT. I've since moved to another town 4 hours away and called to get the mixture of PM shine they use on my hard to match red hair. They will not give it to you. Are they that concerned about other business? I was a loyal customer and recommended to so many. But no more. And the girl was RUDE when I asked. So disappointing. read more

I went to this place on a whim and I was not disappointed. The staff is very friendly. I gave my stylist an idea of what I wanted and she more than met my expectations. read more

I only see Suzi for hair, etc. I started coming here for her. She is my hometown girl, so I love her. I can't review a hair experience with anyone else, but I can say the salon is clean and lively. I always enjoy the music and general atmosphere. The staff is friendly. They offer a wide variety of services and special packages. The other customers always seem to be enjoying their time there. read more

Mary Ruiz has been cutting my hair since mid-2015. I followed her to D'Anthony when she moved there in 2016. I drive out of my way to have Mary cut my hair because she's the best stylist I've ever had! read more

There are not enough words to describe how much I love having my hair done by Laine. I have been coming here for a few years, and after my usual stylist went on maternity leave, I took a chance and went elsewhere. Big mistake. After returning in hopes to find someone to salvage my botched cut and dye job, I was introduced to Laine and she was able to transform my leopard spots and salvage my cut. I walked into the salon feeling embarrassed and left feeling like million bucks! I have been hooked on her ever since! She is the sweetest, and no matter what she does to my hair (I like to give a little guidance, but let her run with it) it looks amazeballs. Cuts a mean bob, color is always flattering and she always has good suggestions for product and styling at home. Counting the days for my next touch up..... read more

I've only had my hair cut and colored by Ryan. My husband and 13 yr old son also get their hair cut by Ryan. So, I don't know how good a job anyone else does. Ryan is great though. The salon is nice and the staff is friendly. read more

I had the best facial ever with Kristen Yzaguirre yesterday. Her technique was amazing. I walked out feeling totally refreshed and pampered. Thank you so much for making me feel so comfortable. read more

I have been so many places around San Antonio where I've reviewed horrible haircuts and colors. My last disaster was when I tried to going a soft honey blonde and ended up with bleach blonde that did not fit me at all and ended up going back t a dark brown and my hair ended up terribly damaged, my hair is naturally curly and wouldn't even curl right. I was unhappy and would never do anything with my hair except throw it in a bun. When I made a appointment at d'Anthony he service was friendly and the environment was very relaxing. I got Rachel who is amazing! I just wanted a hair trim and we got to talking about how she's a blonde specialist and I walked her through my blonde history and talking to her I felt very comfortable with her abilities an let her work her blonde magic on my hair. She walked me through everything and fully explained the hair process on my damaged ends and the hair treatment I received. My hair looks amazing, I am so happy with the color I almost cried and it made me feel beautiful and put the biggest smile on my face, Rachel is such a sweetheart and I recommend everyone go see her. read more

Laine Laine Laine!!!!! Oh how I love having her as my stylist! Not only is she is the sweetest, most caring, loving, friendliest girl I know, she is AMAZING at what she does. As a teen who changes her hair almost as often as her outfit, Laine gives me exactly what I want every time without damaging my hair or breaking my bank. I have been coming to her for the past 4 years and she always helps me decide what I will like best, I am never disappointed. I recommend her to all my friends (who are now her permanent clients) and have nothing but faith that she can make anyone else as happy as she makes me! P.S. I also got "Best Hair" with her help in high school ;-) from almost black hair all the way to platinum blonde I am always satisfied and I'm so thankful to have found someone as awesome as her!! read more

First time visit for me. Had a medium bob, and wanted a shorter pixie. I'm not afraid of short hair, this is not a case of short hair regret. Showed her a photo, she then showed me a photo. I told her the photo she had was too short, and we agreed she'd work from my photo. She ended up cutting it just like the photo she had shown me. It is NOTHING like the photo I showed her. It will grow out and it's not the end of the world, but I am highly disappointed that my wishes were ignored. And she cut it so short that there is really nothing to work with to get it right. Brittnee needs training, period. read more

Was referred to Alan and I was very pleased. He took the time to talk to me before just cutting and sending me on my way. He listen to me, gave me advice, cut then styled to see if the length and layers where up to my standards. Will be going back! Alan thank you so much for being so professional and taking time to talk before cutting! read more

D'Anthony Salon is wonderful! All of their stylists are Paul Mitchell trained. Jennifer Lopez (J Lo) is my stylist and she is great! Give them a try...you won't be dissappointed. read more

Horrible horrible place! I will never go back again. I went before a vacation to do a day of pampering and got my hair done, nails and toes. For my hair, I wanted a body wave and trim. The perm is such I mess! It's way too curly and not what I wanted at all. And the hair stylist cut my hair too short in places so it looks horrible when it's dry because she didn't take the bounce of the curls into consideration when cutting the hair. After the haircut I got my pedicure and it was mediocre for the price. And for the nails I wanted short acrylic stiletto nails. The girl Paloma, after already gluing the nails, told me she wouldn't do them short because they look like claws and she didn't want to. For one, it's what I wanted whether or not she likes them. But there were no other people who did acrylics at the location and the nails were already glued so it was too late. During her doing my nails, she kept getting up to leave and the manager told her she needed to go home so she didn't even finish doing my nails herself which I thought was extremely rude and unprofessional for the manager to tell an employee to leave in front of a guest. Another female came to paint the nails and she seemed lost in what she was doing. It's only been a week since I left and the nail polish is already coming off. I will never be going back to this location again. Horrible service and definitely not worth the prices. read more

Over charged to say the least. I paid $260 for a cut and balayage... which turned out more like highlights (which are way less expensive). I had gotten a cut and balayage done at a different DAnthony location with a different stylist for almost $80 cheaper too. I bought in several pictures of the look I was going for and it did not turn out like that AT ALL. They wasted more product and I wasted more money because they insisted on coloring my hair first and them cutting it.. at the end of the app I took almost 2 inches off... For the amount of hair I have... that was a lot of time and money wasted. The day before my appointment I told the front desk girl I also wanted to get my eye brows waxed and do the D'Anthony Deluxe shampoo (with he 15 min massage).. My app was at 2:15 and I didn't leave the salon until after 6:30... they didn't even have time to do my eyebrows or the 15 massage. I didn't pay for those services but for someone who only goes to the salon once a year it would have been nice to treat myself. I won't be going back to D'Anthony. My hair is okay and I've gotten many compliments on it...props to my stylist, it just wasn't what I wanted. read more

I have never cut my hair short before so I wanted to make sure I found a place that knew what they were doing. I just moved to Helotes and found this place on Yelp and several people recommended Alan. He was wonderful. Made me feel really comfortable and was friendly. Hair looks great! I will definitely be going back. read more

We are a military family and we move frequently. It is always so hard to find a new person to cut my hair. It is such a difficult process because I never find the "right" person first. I wish I had visited D'Anthony Salon when we first moved here. It would have saved me time and frustration. My appointment was with Alan and he was so good! He took a lot of time talking to me and trying to figure out my hair before he washed my hair for the cut. He really seemed to listen to what I was saying and had some good suggestions for me. I really like the way he cut my hair. I was impressed with Alan's attention, skill, and demeanor. I will definitely be going back to Alan! read more

Just moved to Helotes and wanted to find a good salon. I'm not what you would call a connoiseur of hair styles or anything. But Debi gave me this really cute looking haircut. It suits my face a lot better than my old haircut and she also helped me reduce the volume of my ridiculously thick hair. I'm sold :) read more

I was happy with the service provided and the stylist was great. However, when I was checking out they charged me an extra $20 ! I purchased a group for the service . Then they charged me extra for the product used. Is this how they recover some of the discount offered through groupon? Very unprofessional! Unfortunate for Audrey that I couldn't leave the tip I wanted to because they upcharged me . read more

I have been searching and searching for a stylist for 4 years! LAINE is the Hair Whisperer!!!! She gave my total train wreck of a cut some shape and even talked about what comes next as I grow my hair out. I love my color and love that she takes the time to listen and make suggestions. I cannot wait to see her again. :D read more

Laine was AWESOME! My hair was a hot mess and she took the time to meet with me for about 10 minutes. Once we established what would work best for me as far as a cut and color, she went for it. Guess what! She knocked it out of the park. Usually I get the same treatment everywhere I go, "hurry because the next client is on her way". She took her time and did the best job I could have asked for. Choose Laine, I did. You will be pleased. THANKS LAINE! read more

Never again! I won't name the stylist because I'm not going to publicly call this person out. But I wanted highlights. I explained to her what I wanted and even showed her a picture. The pic was of MY hair that was after I got highlights a few years ago. Back then my hair was my natural color. This time, it was also my natural color. But it didn't turn out right. I attempted to politely say it's not what I wanted. She made me walk over to the window to see it in more natural light. I said it looks a little better...but then asked how much it would be to come back and make it right. Oh only another $100! After I was already paying $160 plus a 15% tip. She said to give it a week to decide if I liked it. I went home and asked my husband what he thought and his response was, it doesn't look like the picture of your hair before. So it's not just me. I considered calling the salon but I didn't want to be demanding and was afraid they'd be able to force the girl to fix it at no charge. That's what I believe she should have been willing to do from the start but I'm not familiar with her or the salon's policies. If she had done so though I would've tipped her a second time for being willing to make it right. Instead I'm leaving my review (as per the salon's request, there are signs everywhere asking for it). read more
