Believe the reviews- it truly is a hit or miss location. Indeed more of a miss. I love a good sandwich but they aren't consist with good sandwiches. One time I ordered from here and they gave me frozen chicken pieces. And then they love to mess up sandwiches, this is the third time they've messed up my orders. It's so simple to make sure you get the right sandwich to the customer, and when you bring it to their attention they are so rude and arrogant, as if I messed up the sandwiches. Yet again sometimes the sandwiches are good, but half the time you just take a gamble and I'm tired of doing that. I'm also not giving my money to a company whose employees are extremely rude. Get people's orders right and you wouldn't have to deal with fixing your mistakes. The employees there are always talking about someone as well. Doordash had a glitch in their system where Dangelo's received my address OK, but doordash sent my driver out two towns over to a different address. When I checked the address on the tracking link, it was all garbled up text. Long story short, Doordash was like "We blame the customer for entering the wrong address so tell them to pay for another order." Even though Dangelo's had the correct address. Dangelo's went WAY above and beyond to make sure I received a freshly made order and got it to me when they didn't have to. It was not Dangelo's fault at all and they are the ones that fixed it. I've gotten steak sandwiches from here twice recently and they were okay. Last night, I went to get another one. One of the women behind the counter kept coughing, which made me leery, but I ordered anyway. The other woman rung up my order, and the coughing woman put my steak on the grill ... then a moment later, she coughed INTO HER HAND! Obviously she was never taught basics on food preparation (first off, if she was getting sick, she should have stayed home). If you are working with food (or even a cashier) and you have to sneeze or cough, do it into the crook of your elbow, NOT your hand, for Pete's sake! After seeing that, I immediately canceled my order and asked for my money back. The cashier didn't ask why, and I didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass anyone, but I will not be going there anymore, thank you very much. read more

The one star is for the people that work there that have always been super nice. The lack of the other four stars is because I had pieces of bone in my burger. We work 12 hour shifts and cannot leave to go and get something to eat, that means we rely on people/food establishments to deliver. Tonight about 630 pm...a order was called to this location for 2 salads and 2 sandwiches. Needless to say, an employee here went without, because the delivery person DID NOT DELIVER our entire order.. They were given a $15.00 tip also to be noted. We were busy at the time with patients and could not check the order right away to make sure. Four...4....FOUR ITEMS WERE DELIVERED. I REALLY think Dangelos food is overrated to start, however my coworkers wanted to order from this menu/location. It was simple 2 salads and 2 sandwiches and really the only sandwich i will order (thanksgiving toasted on multigrain)was not delivered but we were charged for...so disappointing, i had to settle for a "cup O'noodle ramen soup. This D'angelo is really hit or miss....more of a miss usually though. I have gotten sandwiches here before and had no problems, another time the workers were ridiculously rude. You just never know what to expect from this place. I always get tuna from D'angelos no matter the location and it is always consistent and good. Today the tuna was not like the normal white albacore, it was like the pinkish kind the cheap tuna that I hate. It was so off it tasted like subway and if I wasn't starving I probably wouldn't have eaten it. I am really surprised to get such a bad sandwich because I am not picky and this was horrible. I'll keep this short. The service was lousy, the "manager" took my order and then proceeded to forget about me. I ordered 2 sandwiches and a salad at quarter past 1 in the afternoon. 25 minutes later I'm still standing there as several people went up to order and get their food. The "manager" finally noticed me standing there waiting and asked if I had ordered. After I told her that she personally had taken my order she rudely told me that I had to continue to wait. I don't know, man. They always come in clutch with me. Sandwiches and rice bowls are always delicious and hot. 9/10 times they'll deliver before their estimated time (for instance, I ordered less than 20 minutes ago, was told 45 minutes and already have it on my lap). Also, the delivery man we usually have, an older gentleman, is so kind and always jokes with my kids for a minute before he goes. I have been going to the sandwich shop for many many many years. My go to order is a tuna pocket. I'm usually very satisfied and happy with my sandwich. Today I went and the bread on one side of the pocket was completely disintegrated into quarter size pieces it look like it had been placed back together like a puzzle. Also the toppings were not what they usually are. There was one pepper, one onion, one pickle, it was totally unsatisfactory. I don't know what was going on today whether there's a dissatisfied employee working the sandwich station, but whatever it was, something just wasn't right. Upon calling the manager and complaining about it she was very courteous and offered me a voucher for a new sandwich. I will probably return to this location to order food, because it is convenient for me. However I will be opening the sandwich and checking it out before I leave the place. Someone mentioned steak and cheese and immediately my mind goes to D'angelos (probably bc I have never been to Philadelphia) so I just needed to have it for dinner. Called in the order (super easy), Number 9 no peppers, get extra mushrooms on a pita bread----you almost have to get a pita pocket bc no other place offers this and it is just so good....a small is more than enough steak but they offer several sizes. Sandwich was ready on time and the person preparing it was really nice. This was later at night so I was quite impressed that whoever was working really actually cared about their job and provided good service. There is bar like seating available for you to look out at the busy street and tons of parking in the back. They also have several booths there so eating there may be a nice option, along with the free refills on soda. When going to a chain restaurant, you know what you will get in regards to the food but it was nice to see how clean the restaurant was and how personable the employee was. read more

Ordered a large steak and cheese. The steak was over cooked and dry. The amount of steak would have been fine on a medium Sandwich. I threw out about a third of the bread due to the minimal steak. I have been going to this location for years but the service and food have gone down hill after the manager change. Time to find a new location or start going to Subway. I really want to like this place. The food is NEVER consistent. Ordered a couple weeks ago. Chowder was awesome. Meatball sub was perfect. Ordered the same thing tonight. It was all BAD! Way to much sauce. I literally had to soak it up with paper towel. Some genius cut the bread on both sides so it was basically raining marinara sauce out the bottom. Chowder was way to thin and VERY BLAND. Also they forgot to give me a spoon. I also don't understand the staff at this place. There always screwing around talking crap about everyone they work with. Its like high school for dropouts. They also look at you like your insane when you walk thru the door. Very unorganized kitchen. Managers really need to step it up and be MANAGERS!!! I do like this D'Angelos a lot but I usually get delivery. When the regular delivery driver is on shift I never have a problem. Everything is perfect. But the female driver never delivers on time. I feel like my delivery always takes an hour and by then it's cold and the bread is soggy. I really like the people who are staffed there and would give ot a full 5 stars except for that one driver. Not only is she late but she's kind of rude. I think she might also smoke.... something... cause I swear I can smell it on her.
