My car, the first and probably only brand new car I'll ever have was vandalized as I ran into a…read morerestaurant to retrieve an order I had called in. As I was returning to my car, I could see it from a distance, someone had "keyed " scratch, the entire length of the driver's side of my vehicle. It was severe. Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose, wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. I recommend Same Day Bumper and Grill all day every day and twice on Sunday Than you Travis !!

I could've put a headlight in it and kept going but not after they tore apart and they charged GEICO $325 for tearing my car apart and then I had to have it towed to another autobody place to get it fixed because I told them when I took it there I want my car fixed. I was really angry. Then they didn't give all the parts to the guy who came to pick up my car. so don't make this mistake if your car gets damaged have the insurance company come give you an estimate first And also double check the estimate they gave you because they underestimated the value of my car for almost $3000. Read it. Make sure they put everything that's on your car when they give you that estimate don't ever settle for the first offer Don't take your car here otherwise you're gonna end up with a disaster and I had to arrange to pick my car up and all the parts which didn't get all the parts and take it somewhere else to get it fixed so thanks to them. I've been out of a car for almost 5 weeks when my car could've been fixed in a week if they just fixed it, but they refuse to fix it after they tore it apart and caused more damage then what was originally wrong with my car there was no reason for them to tear every single part off my passenger side of my car or to tear my door apart. There was no reason to do that they did it anyway just to get money from the insurance company disgusting

The employee running the front desk was courteous, patient, and very helpful. Despite some delays and damaged parts arriving at the shop, they repaired, painted, buffed, and cleaned my truck in good time. My Toyota Tacoma looked brand new. I paid him $150 to install a replacement throttle body on my 2009 Dodge Caliber on June 11th. After the installation, my car was fluttering while idling and continued doing that until June 17th, when the car shut off. I couldn't even drive it one mile. Around that time, while I was already dealing with the problems with my car, he started making advances toward me. He asked me if I wanted a "sugar daddy," repeatedly told me I was a "good woman," and during a test drive asked me if I wanted to spend more time with him. He also talked to me about having a wife and twin children, which made the advances even more inappropriate to me. I turned him down. I asked him how he relearned the throttle body with the computer and didn't get an answer. Before he came back to work on my car again, I specifically asked him to bring the computer/programmer, and he said okay. When he came back, I asked about it and that was when he told me he didn't have the equipment and said it cost around $5,000. I would have liked to know that before paying him to install the throttle body. I also paid him another $125 to install an IMRC actuator. The next day my car was scanned again and P2004, Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open, was still showing. I later asked him to make sure the actuator he installed was working before I bought more parts, but I never received confirmation that it was. My issue is twofold. I had problems with the work I paid for, and at the same time I was dealing with unwanted advances from the person I hired to work on my car. I can't say whether my turning him down had anything to do with what happened afterward, but given the timing, it is something I have questioned. Before I pay anyone for a service, I always look at the reviews first. That's one of the reasons I'm leaving this review. Other customers, especially women, should know about the experience I had before deciding whether to hire him. After everything that happened, I question whether he is selective about who he behaves this way toward. For women especially, I would think twice about using a mobile mechanic just to save money. If you do decide to use one, use a credit card or another payment method that gives you clear purchase protection and a way to dispute the charge if something goes wrong. Women should be able to hire someone to work on their vehicle without having to deal with unwanted advances while trying to conduct business. Based on my experience, I would rather spend the extra money and go to an established repair shop where there is more accountability and professionalism.
