I came in today to have a flat tire fixed and was impressed. The guy was very knowledgeable about my particular bike - it turns out the company started up with money they made from investing in star wars movies lol... so that was cool, but also he fixed it quickly while I was standing there and it was super cheap. Also, right now during covid they're asking that everyone wears masks to enter and are limiting the number of people in the store if you're concerned about that. read more

REFUSED TO ASSIST WITH A FLAT TIRE ON E-TRIKE. SHAME TO THIS STORE! I had a flat tire while riding my bike today. I called the store prior to bringing my bike in. I explained, I have a flat tire, and it is an E-Bike. I was told to bring it in. II brought my bike in the store, The owner, or manager of the store refused to help me. He said because it is an E-bike, and fat tire they don't provide any service to above bikes. You would think, the tire is a tire either it is an e-bike, trike or a regular bike, Specially if other employee in the store said to bring it in. But not in this store. I did take my bike to the REI bike store, and they were able to help me with no problem. They were very surprised that the other bike store refused to help with such an easy problem. I will put this on every biker facebook group just to embarrass this store as much as I can. SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT ASSISTING A BIKER IN DISTRESS! read more

I was in town for the weekend and was shopping for an e-bike. D&D had a great selection from the world's top bike manufacturer Giant. My wife and I took a test ride, comparing two different models. Steve was knowledgeable when walking us through the bike features. He patiently listened to our questions and helped us find the information we needed to make a buy decision. Improvement opportunities revolved around accessories and on-site inventory. I could not get a cell phone holder or mirror that worked with my new bike. My wife could not get the step through model. needed a bike trunk rack. After shopping around this store told me they had a compatible one in stock and that they could mount it on my car. After being ignored for awhile (no other costumers were in the store) I was finally sold a returned rack that was clearly damaged. Sales person was adamant that it was not. They proceeded to attempt to mount it on my car but could not because it was damaged and missing parts. The only other compatible rack in stock was roughly $150 more. I purchased the rack because I needed it for a trip the next day. Only to find out that they are not authorized to install racks from this type of manufacturer. My Mom comes to these guys to get her bike serviced every year and always has really good things to say about them. I swung by with some questions about my bike trailer, hitch and compatibility with my very low end bike. The gentleman took the time to go out and look at my bike, advised that I need not get the work done that I had anticipated and fixed me up right on the spot. He even took my bike off the rack and fixed up my back brake because he noticed I had tightened it too far and sent me on my merry way. I'll be in the market for a nice bike next year and will absolutely be coming back to these guys. I will also happily recommend them to anyone in the market. Disappointed in their customer service. I have to call the store multiple times before someone finally answers. I ordered a bike and was misled on when the bike would be available, I was told it had been shipped and would be delivered in August. Then I am told the bike is no longer available and I can not purchase that bike so I would have to get the next years model and pay more. That model wouldn't be in stock until next year. Also I tried to contact the main office for customer support on my order, left a message never received a call back. Called again weeks later and it constantly goes to voicemail. I understand there is a bike shortage and expected to wait a while for a bike however, communication definitely needs to be improved. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Don't waste your time, customer service is non existent. They lie and say they have your bike and it will be built in 5-7 days to only find out they actually do not have my bike after waiting 5 1/2 weeks and they don't know where my bike is and they'll have to order it but will be 12 weeks.. I took my bike to D&D in Northville for repairs. The mechanic ordered the wrong parts (triple chain ring, not double as original) but he installed them anyway and charged me accordingly. I supposed I should have insisted that the right parts were ordered, but I was anxious to get my bike back. Since getting my bike back, the chain has come off twice, at the worst possible time, while peddling up a hill. I took the bike back to D&D today, and a different mechanic (who road the bike around the virtually level parking lot) said he didn't see anything wrong. I wasn't in the mood to argue, so I brought my bike back home. If the problem reoccurs, I'll take it to REI instead. Richard Swan read more

I bought my bike here several years ago and was initially impressed with the service. I was a novice and appreciated the insight, especially since I was dropping a large sum of money. I was always comfortable coming back for all my bike needs. I worked in downtown Northville so it was convenient. In the last few years something has really changed in their service. Quite frankly, they are very rude and arrogant. It is such a shame. I used to recommend them but now I am no longer comfortable going in there much less giving a recommendation to a friend. PS....I could use a good recommendation on a new bike shop. read more

This is my go to bike shop. They are all about making sure everyone is enjoying the sport. On a recent Sunday morning I discovered big bubbles in my tires. This shop has been here for as long as I can remember, and they do all the things a good bike shop should do. But what really makes this shop hum is Dan-the head mechanic. I am a casual biker. Had fine service from the same guy the first time I came in. This time was very different. The two older guys working were very agitated and impatient with me. They didn't fix the tuning of my gears properly until I brought it back in 5 min later, and requested the other guy fix it. I asked the first guy what he would do if it were his bike (after he gave up after 10 minutes) and he responded "well I wouldn't buy an entry level bike with entry level components." Hah! Sorry my $400+ bike isn't good enough to receive a proper tune up. Needless to say I won't come back here even though I am less than a minute walk away. These guys are ready full of pretentious and smart Alec comments if you aren't a hard core biker. read more
