Cashier guy cared more about getting off exactly @4:30pm then actually doing his job till times up even. when a guest comes to your check out lane you greet you talk to them...my frat boy decided yelling across the lanes to his coworker to complain on how he has to leave isn't appropriate or professional. This is a big store, the bigger DSG I have ever been to. It's a sporting goods paradise. I was here once before and upstairs. They have canoes and stuff on the second floor. There's a short lap track on the first floor by the shoes to try out a pair so trainers. They did get rid of their guns. Their sales section is up on the second floor. I have a huge selection of canoes and kayaks too. They have so much stuff, it's mind boggling. They even gave gold bling putter covers. Evidently Saturdays are for the boys. I must have missed that memo. They have wading boots that are taller than me even. 4-wheeled golf carts that are as big as a stroller and fold down like a stroller too. read more

I stopped by here today to pick up some 1-lb. dumbbells - some of the virtual Zumba classes I do include them, and I was tired of using household items in place of weights. I've been to this Dick's Sporting Goods many times in the past, because my parents live about 10 minutes away, but I decided to do curbside this time due to the pandemic. Definitely glad I did because it seemed very busy today, on a Saturday night. It took about 9 minutes for them to bring out my items; I know this because when I checked in on the website, it recorded the time. That's not terrible but it's not the 5 minutes or less I've become accustomed to with other stores like Target, during the pandemic. The weights were a reasonable price, about $3.99 each, and if you sign up for their email list you can get another 15% off, I believe it was. I placed my order around 2:30 p.m. today and received both an email and a text saying it was ready around 3:30 p.m., which is pretty fast. Overall, I would do curbside pickup again at this location, although maybe not on a Saturday night. read more

The service was ok. It's hard to find help. The store is so big, but very few employees.,the math isn't adding up... Anyway, while shopping, I had to use the restroom. Once I opened the door, a rancid smell slapped me in my face. Each stall was filthy with toilet paper all on the floor. I can't believe any manager would allow their restrooms to stay like this. I feel bad for anyone who really has to go, and for the poor workers who probably have to use those restrooms. YUCK! Plus, there wasn't any toilet paper in the stalls! They canceled my order of a run shoe I was waiting all week for. It was the only shoe that doesn't hurt my feet that was left in my size. Why do they list items as available and then cancel them? Not great customer service. I wouldn't try to buy something from here. They'll just cancel it and not contact you. Now I have no run shoes for the weekend in the new city I'm living in. I purchased a treadmill here in 1/15/25 with a written and verbal communication that said I would receive a call in 24/48 and have the job completed within 5days. I never receive a call so I called them and they told me I couldn't schedule the service of delivery and set up. I would have to wait until this Thursday or Friday and they will see if they could do it the following week. Which s Well beyond what the verbal and written communication stated. I spoke with the general manager and stressed my concerns about the breech of the contract and he said "did we sign anything" basically saying he didn't care what the written or verbal communications said. I told him since he falsely advertised the 5 day "promise" that Dicks should reimburse my delivery and set up BUT instead of eating the $160.00 for delivery and set up he told me he couldn't but offered a full refund of $2100. I thought asking for the refund for the false advertisement was not too much to ask for! I will never shop here again! Not only was the general manager a bit rude by asking if he signed anything he was NOT helpful!! read more

We stopped by for the first time. The store was clean and organized. Nice variety of sporting goods. Everything from indoor to outdoor gear. Associates were very polite and helpful. The reason I went with four stars is the ladies restroom was completely out of soap. Fortunately, I have hand sanitizer but with being in the middle of a pandemic is it more suitable to have access to proper hygiene products. Not to mention there is a sign requesting that employees to wash their hands prior to returning to work. read more

Judging from the GINORMOUS facade you'd would think you're about to walk in the worlds most spectacular store ever! Well looks can be deceiving, take a closer look (see my pictures) those two ornate extensions are a whole lot of nothing, if you get even closer you see it's just cheap plywood, now I'm not suggesting this a small store by any stretch of the imagination it's certainly a bigger store than most, with two floors of goods, it's just not as big as you may suspect. If you're looking for a deal, I would shop elsewhere, unless you find a sweet deal on clearance (I've never seen any amazing deals), they do seem to cart a large variety of golf and out door equipment, and an wide assortment of athletic gear. Once I needed to purchase an old English Tiger's D decal for a present, I walked up and down that store until one of the sales guys told me they had no such item, he suggested I go to the mall... right on, that or target no need to get ripped off. read more

If I could give the store or any dicks store a negative I would. I always find that the employees seem to have no interest in the clients. The store seem to be fairly dirty and cluttered with useless items or sometimes with no shelves filled at all. Not to mention that it seems like a prerequisite for the employees to be biased/racist etc. the minute you step in the door especially towards Second Amendment people when their product is really not that good to begin with. Sure sometimes they have fire arms the fire arms are of cheap quality and low quality. read more

They don't care about their customers or the outcome of a problem. I've been going back and forth with them for over 3-months trying to get them to return a $100.00 gift card to me from an online order they incorrectly cancelled. They do not care about the customer. The store was extremely disorganized. Merchandise was not well stocked and in addition very poorly displayed. Couldn't find anyone to help me look for a set of winter gloves for my wife so after tracking down a manager (?) who happens to be gabbing with a checkout person, I asked if there were any gloves on sale. She looked at me like I was retarded and then said she didn't know, and continues gabbing. After 30 mins of sifting through gloves that were strewn about, I went to check out for a different item. The checkout clerk (who happened to be the same one gabbing with the manager before) acted irritated that I had the audacity to go through her line. Just because you can wear yoga pants to work doesn't mean you're hot shit. This is why I prefer online shopping. I think one reviewer mentioned that the store looks huge and then you walk inside and there's a lot that is lacking. I think a lot of the newer Dick's Sporting Goods are doing this - having large interiors and for some reason less inventory than the older and smaller stores. Other than that I don't have a lot of complaints. There are inventory problems that I've noted at some of the other Dick's Sporting Goods, particularly with sporting equipment, but less so at this store than many others. This is one of the few Dick's Sporting Goods stores where multiple salespeople have approached me and asked if I needed help. I had one incident where a salesperson seemed like he could do more to help me but I saw that same salesperson on my next visit to the store and he was extremely helpful and remembered me. I also have had four other visits where the salespeople were great including one where I had an equipment repair issue and it was taken care of promptly. read more

Dicks is no REI or Sports Authority. Its somewhere i'll look for a bargain and not care about the brand names. Now this location really wows me when i first walk in. Its huge and it looks nice like a REI. Too bad its just all looks. I came here looking for a pair of snowpants for my gf and i felt pretty positive we'll be able to find one considering the size of this place. Unfortunately, i was wrong and disappointed after a round of browsing. Selections were ok but the prices are not. The store employees were not particularly helpful or knowledgeable about the product they sell. On another separate visit, i walked in the store while waiting for a lunch meeting to happen nearby. I was happy to see some name brands snow jackets on sale but they were all odd size. bummer. If you are looking to shop for sports equipment or accessories, id suggest you to start with a REI or Sports Authority. read more

Terrible service in the shoes section. The salespersons there act as if they're doing you a favour by showing you the shoes. They won't bother to wait for 1 minute while you try on and ask you how they feel. They'll go back to their personal chatting. This included 3 of them at one point. No effort on their part to actually do their job - which is to try and sell the product. The inventory in this store is terrible. They hardly have all sizes in the brands that they do sell (mostly columbia, TNF, under armor). They don't sell any mountain hardwear stuff. All fitness trackers are locked, you can't try them on. They don't sell any prescription swimming goggles, nor have they ever understood why anyone would need them :) read more

I am not a sporty person by any means.. I went here seeking a certain item and ended up browsing at everything for about an hour..I wanted a floating key chain similar to what boaters buy.. I was first greeted by a sweet lady at the front door who directed me immediately to the department I needed to go..she even called up there to make sure someone was there. The guy that helped me was equally helpful. Because a keychain wasn't available, he offered me a makeshift version out of a fishing item.. Went into Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday for the first time (at this location). The service was terrible! The greeters were busy chatting between themselves, so I walked by and went in search of shoes. Asked one sales person to point me in the right direction, she replied and said she'd help me as soon as she was done waiting on another person. So I continued wandering around and ended up on the upper floor. There were two sales people up there (teenagers) busy talking to each other. I asked for the shoes and was told to go downstairs and turn right. She sent me to the mens shoes. I finally, walked the whole store and ended up at the women's shoes, saw a pair I liked and couldn't find anyone to bring out a pair. I walked out after waiting for 10 minutes and I don't think I'm going back. The service at the Haggerty Road store is much better. read more

I arrived around 7:15 pm Wednesday evening. I am an middle aged man, with arthritis issues, who was there to purchase a badminton set for his neice. First, there is a powerhouse Gym nearby, so with the customers from there you couldn't tell who was staff and who was shopping, I wandered around that huge store for about 20 minutes and couldn't find what I wanted, and not a single person approached me to see if they would assist. Finally, disgusted, I made my way toward the entrance and made a last look around. At this point, an employee asked me if I was finding what I needed. I told him I had been wandering the store for about 20 minutes, being ignored, and was preparing to leave. He asked me what I was looking for, I told him and he gave me directions to the area in the store where it was. Apparently he let others know there was an irritated customer, as when I got to the area, a young salesperson approached me for assistance. He wasn't much help, as there were about 6 types of badminton sets and he obviously didn't even know want badminton was. I finally made my own selection, made it back to the check out and left. Once I knew how to identify the staff, I began to realize how many staff members I walked by, and who ignored me. A couple of comments for the management ad Dick's. When a customer comes in that is not of the "young, hot, athletic" variety, they may be 1. not that familiar with your store and 2., shopping for someone else or maybe for a gift? pr 3. may have some actual need for something like athletic equipment. I for one am an avid fisherman, and would have easily marked Dick's as a place to visit and shop for my needs in the future. After this treatment, that's never going to happen. I am also recommending that if you're over 30 and not cute, fit and athletic, don't waste your time attempting to shop there. The definitely have no use for your type of clientele. read more

My 1 star rating for the Dick's sporting goods store in Novi is appropriately earned. I entered the store ready to spend $1000 or more on gifts. No one came over to ask if my son or I needed help. We went to the service desk to ask for help and was told that someone was coming over to help. We waited in the hiking boots area for 15 minutes, looked around for help and found no one. I'm not in the habit of begging others to take my money. I will never attempt to shop at Dicks Sporting goods in Novi, ever again. read more
