Additionally, she charged my credit card without ever contacting me to know the balance. I never got an invoice and it was way more than I discussed with Jeremy who gave me a heads up of the cost. When I called to discuss, again, haughty attitude, and the owners/managers of the store were gone by 3:50 pm....right-o! Based on this, I could not recommend. Looking at reviews now, I say you have less than 50% average of being less than happy with this business. Esmerelda needs to go back to kindergarten where they actually have more manners and business savvy than she has. And it looks like the only people that gave them 5 Stars are sauna buyers....the day will be coming when their experience with them differs most likely. The entire experience counts however when businesses only care about the money coming in, my experience is the norm for these type of people.

They knocked everything out quicker than anyone else I talked to, and the quality came out way better than I imagined. They really went above and beyond -- can't recommend them enough.

I was very pleased with my pool and service for the first couple of months, but then the problems started. In short, they do a fair job on the structural, but they use cheap materials for the cosmetic part (plaster, tile, grout, pavers, turf, etc.). Quality of materials used and unresponsive to warranty. Most of the issues will appear around the 6-month mark, then they'll tell you they are very busy and please be patient someone will address it, then when your warranty expires, they say is your fault or it is normal. Full disclosure, they did address some minor issues as a "favor". But some of the issues came back because the problem is the quality of the material they used/offer. Their pricing is above most pool builders by at least 50% - I assumed paying premium was a way of having certainty I wouldn't go through this. I was wrong. There were several (minor?) issues when the pool was finished, but I was told "It is normal or will correct itself", after a few months passed they were "gracious" on coming and fixing some of the things I was complaining about, mostly cosmetic and one related to the pumps. Issues: - Pool pump will shut down after using the spa or just by switching it on. They fixed this with some sort of regulator at no cost. - Paid for an upgrade on the water scuppers, they rusted very quickly (I would assume they used element resistant material, or high quality, but I was wrong). After MANY emails and probably a year after, they finally "fixed" it by applying a coating that will prevent rust, so far it has worked, but I am sure this will be a problem in the months to come. - Stone pavers, they looked great for the first 2 months... after a couple of heavy rains, they are all misaligned some sank, some popped up. This upgrade was expensive, and they don't sand by the quality they announce. - Plaster. from day 1 i noticed the color was not uniform. I asked them and they told me it was normal and will become uniform as I brush or clean my pool. A year after, the pool looked the same. They came back and did an acid wash of the pool. The plaster color now is uniform but not the color I selected, also I got an upgrade to have shiny shell bits and after the acid wash, they are now white dots. After I asked for a resolution, they are deaf to my questions and they only response I am out of warranty, even when plaster is 10 years. On top of everything, the plaster is falling off. - Water sheer descent. They installed a descent where the water flows in chunks, not as a single downflow, so it looks weird. They say is my fault because I don't clean it. Although I clean it, I don't think is supposed to act that way. A second service person came and said, Oh we have to open the thing a bit more, he did, improved a little but same outcome. To the point we never use the sheer descent, because it looks ugly. - Tile and Grout. The tile we picked at the design center is not made for pool or outdoor, it absorbs the elements in the water and environment and became stained. The grout they use is permeable as well, so scaling surfaced easily. Had issue also with the coping, turf, and other minor things that I decided to leave out, so the post is not even longer. They also claim to be ALL-American, and most of the contractors they use are immigrants (nothing wrong with that). But just beware, it is just another lie. I don't know how a company can say to you "God bless" when they are so dishonest.

He ask me what type of filter pump I had and he picked up the basket I needed and he gave a brief explanation of its operation. I ask what the cost was and he picked up a tag for $39.99. Bill could sense I wasn't going to spend that much. He lectured me on how he had $100 dollars of employees and how I was an online shopper. He then turned and walked away continuing to verbalize his displeasure with my not purchasing a filter basket at that high of a price. Two of his employee's witnessed this interaction with a customer. I will never shop at this pool store again. I will contact Pinch A Penny franchise compliance and file a complaint with them.

They charged me 15% higher. I personally showed the manager the store website price on my phone. And he STILL refused to honor it. I argued with him for 10 minutes. UNBELIEVABLE! Does this manager know the term "Ethical Business Practices" They might have got me for $5 but that ordeal will cost the store $100's of dollars in my future sales. I will never step foot in the store again. Another quick "money grab" encounter, so predominate in the world we live in today! Thankfully it was not a large purchase.

I would not recommend this company to anybody. We had a saltwater pebble tech pool which we had…read moreconverted to an Ozone & UV filter, and we asked them to have the boulders repainted and sealed, and the pebble tech power washed. They are just contractors so they hired other companies to come out here and take care of each of those components. they were too remove the current calcium line first from the rock outline (from my understanding that can bead blasted or another assortment of ways) and then re-stain and seal. But they did not do that they just re-stained it so where the calcium line was before the paint is not sticking. It apparently has a two-year warranty but I have called several times trying to get in touch with somebody and on one occasion I got Letty to answer the phone and she advised me that the company they used for the Boulder stain only speak Spanish so she would call and talk to them for me. But I have not heard back I have been following up for over a year with this issue. There's absolutely no customer service they will not call you back or email you back if there's a problem. So your warranty is basically null & void because you cannot get in contact with anybody. We had them servicing our pool once a week but literally the guy they would send would come out check the chemicals empty the skimmer baskets and occasionally vacuum the bottom of the pool. But he never brushed or kept up with that calcium ring where the waterline is so that ring has just grown out of control again. And I had to remind him when it was time to clean the filters because they had not clean the filters either. So we canceled our weekly service because we just felt $170 was not worth the lack of care for our pool.

Chris has been a pleasure to work with! We initially reached out about a year ago and he has been…read morevery generous with his time as well as authentic every time we've met. He's been flexible with our timing, had a very well thought out pool and construction design (our house is mostly geometrical so we scratched the initial design I brought to him and went with his geometrical design as well as went with his suggestion to have a retaining wall built so that the structural integrity of our pool is not compromised). When you meet Chris you'll notice that he is very knowledgeable about what it takes to build a quality pool. There are many small things that Chris has pointed out that I'm sure any other pool builders would have missed (like pouring the gunite first entrance step one inch lower to compensate for coping, pouring the second step wider so that the overlapping coping doesn't shorten its width and makes it shorter than the other steps etc). We are very happy of our current build (still in the plumbing phase) - I will update this review with pictures of the finished project once it's done! Have already started recommending him to family members who will be building a pool soon and recommend you give Chris a shot too.
