Tammy was working alone on a Monday but was so pleasant and attentive. My sister and I had a lovely experience. She treated us like royalty.

Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Daughter getting married the upcoming weekend and she was to go there the next day. I called manager to say that the pedicure was not done well...Skin was not trimmed, fast job leaving some of nail not even painted. Even the nails were to filed nicely. I never complain but this was so poorly done, I have to take time to let others know. The manager clearly couldn't have cared less and cancelled my daughter as he could not back up their work. We went to Majestic Nails on Tunnel Road and it was extremely professional, cleaner environment and a nice atmosphere. Cyndees is very claustrophobic and just not a fun experience. read more

Terrible customer service with no accountability for their product and services. I am a local and live in Black Mountain. I typically frequent another nail salon but tried Cyndees as their business is within walking distance of my business. After bringing my own polish and getting a manicure and pedicure, I noticed that when I walked outside it turned a different color. When I asked them about this and showed them the difference, we tested out their topcoat to notice that their topcoat actually changed the color of the polish when you went into the sunlight. It was a big difference. It went from a plum to a bright, neon purple color. They said they didn't know what to do and I suggested they try a different topcoat. I had a friend come and paint her nails with the same polish and it looked fine until they put their topcoat on and then it, too, turned the bright purple color. They were short, disrespectful, and and basically told me it was too bad. I tried a few of their polishes on and with their topcoat it also turned the nails bright purple when I left the salon. They offered to give me $15 back of the $55 charge but said if I wanted that back they would have to remove the polish as I could not leave with the polish on my nails if it was on paid for. I have never written a yelp review report before but feel compelled as a business owner in Black Mountain I was shocked at how they treated anyone in their store. read more

I went to my favorite app "Yelp" to find a nail salon in the area where I was staying that did SNS nails. A new nail technique that doesn't use acrylic smell or solar light method. Well I drove to the next city over to a suggested nail salon and was asked to come back 4 hours later. I went back to Yelp and found Cyndee's. This time I called and drove 1 mile to the next location. I got in pretty quickly. I didn't get my nail tech's name but she is the Vietnamese woman with the the shortest hair. She was VERY friendly and carried on a conversation with me. Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm not a fan of going to nail salons where the nail techs are not personable and only speak to their coworkers in their language. FYI there is an app for that if you wanna know what's being said. My nail tech said the products had just arrived the day before which was true because I saw her taking the seals off . First Nails In The Powder . This is my 3rd time getting SNS and her technic was slightly different and fast. I have averaged 4-5 weeks with my SNS. I HATE HATE HATE the drill!!! I get so excited when I go to salons that won't use them. I can say she was gentle and didn't hit my cuticles or go too low on my thin natural nails. They charge $40 for this service, which like the other 2 salons is just for the polish/powder service (manicure is extra). I am not into mani's anyways. $40 is the most I've paid so far and $30 is the lowest. The salon did seem pretty clean, but if you like the fancy decor/spa like atmosphere they don't have that look which normally draws me to a salon. read more

Absolutely love it here! The staff is super friendly and they always want you to leave happy. They are very up to date and have tons of options. I started coming here recently and I get the SNS polish. They do a fantastic job. My nails always come out clean and pretty. I went to Cyndee's and got gel acrylic nails. I got them on a Sunday and by Wednesday they were all already starting to lift up a little bit and one even fell off. Now I am missing 4 nails a day later. I payed $40 for them and they weren't well painted at all and fell off within four days. Not happy and not going back. read more

First of all, the nail technician cut one of my cuticles while doing the manicure, which started bleeding. They were trying to charge me more for a service that the nail artist said would NOT cost additional money. I got a gel manicure (supposed to last 10-14 days), and it started chipping after day THREE. Total waste of money. Would not recommend. read more

Got a gel mani/pedi and my technician failed to mentioned that my polish was glow-in-the-dark until after she had painted my nails and I noticed the awful surprise. The manager offered to change it but I had already waited an hour prior and there were only two people working with a slew of customers in there. I've also NEVER had to pay $60 for a gel mani-pedi, but I would have been more willing to pay that had I known what actual product I was getting. Pretty disappointing, will not return. I made an appointment in advance here for a manicure and pedicure. When I arrived (on time), I was shown a pedicure chair. I waited and waited. After a few minutes I asked when my pedicure would start as it was evident that the technicians had just begun on one client's pedicure and another was into the manicure but not near completion. I was told "just a few minutes." I waited several minutes more and asked fhe owner again. She repeated the same, "just a few more minutes." Finally, after about 30 minutes I I reminded her I had scheduled an appointment and it was already more than 30 minutes late.(I was meeting people for a meal later.). Finally the owner told me a technician was late. I understand staffing problems but was very disappointed that truth wasn't revealed earlier so I could have perhaps gotten a pedicure at another time or location. I'm local and get my nails done somewhat regularly but I won't be back to this salon. read more

I used to love going to this salon with it's previous owners. I will not be back after yesterday however. I got a set of acrylic nails. During the process, "Tommy" told me to stop trying to help him, which I wasn't...I was moving my hand. He told me just to sit there and watch TV. On top of that, my nails are horrible.
