Despite these visual aids, the final result was a complete deviation from my request, which the technician attributed to a "communication barrier." I find this explanation unsatisfactory, given my thorough efforts to convey the desired outcome. A more significant concern arose during the nail service. I have a protective rubber base on my natural nails, and I distinctly instructed the technician not to file it off during the polish change. I reinforced this instruction with further photographic evidence of my existing base, and the technician explicitly confirmed understanding. To my dismay, she proceeded to file, removing the rubber base entirely and reaching my natural nail, causing unnecessary thinning and potential damage. To compound the issue, after acknowledging their mistake, I was informed that a new rubber base would be applied at no additional charge to rectify the error. However, upon checking out, I discovered I had been charged for this service. This unexpected charge for a corrective action taken due to the technician's oversight is particularly disheartening. As a monthly patron for over 3 years, primarily valuing your salon for its competitive pedicure pricing and reliable service, this sequence of events has severely eroded my trust and confidence. I have been coming to this nail salon for quite some time, and Mia has always done an excellent job on my dip nails. I recently had to have my nails removed because of a medical procedure, so I made an appointment with Mia to have them done again. When I arrived for my 1:00 p.m. appointment, the salon was very busy. Another technician did my pedicure, and I assumed Mia would do my nails once she finished with her client. Instead, I was completely ignored by Mia. She never acknowledged that I was there or explained why she wasn't able to keep my appointment. Another woman, who I believe was the owner or manager, ended up doing my nails. Unfortunately, it was the worst dip manicure I have ever received. Not only was the application poor, but the dip manicure didn't even last one week before it started lifting and chipping. I've never had that happen before. I'm giving this salon 3 stars only because of the consistently great service I've received from Mia in the past. Had this visit been my first experience, my rating would have been much lower. I hope the salon improves its communication with clients and ensures appointments are honored or, at the very least, explained. read more

It should not take 2 hours to do a basic pedicure (just white nail polish). I also had an appointment scheduled with Mia and at no point did I see her. Walk ins came in for both a mani and pedi and they were serviced quicker and better than I was. If you want to waste a Sunday morning then come here I guess. read more

It's now called La's Nails They took two of us last minute for spa pedicure- we chose the organic one- great job on nails and feet, very gentle too. I'm so happy it doesn't stink like chemicals in here! Comfortable massage chairs with enough space between. The massage... well it depends on your practitioner- my friend had a woman who was really skilled and attentive and firm. I had a man who was very gentle, but it still was relaxing. The first time I went here I booked an appointment for a pedicure and arrived on time. I ended up having to wait over a half hour before someone finally took me. The pedicure was ok, but I was really upset that I had to wait so long when I had booked ahead. The woman who manages the place said that it was unusual to have that happen and apologized. I booked again for today with Henry and was kept waiting for 20 minutes with it apparent that Henry wasn't anywhere near done with the customer he was working on. Pedicure is good value! I come here often for a basic 30 pedicure. They take walk ins and are attentive & do a good job. Place is clean and equipment sterilized. No a huge amount of up sale pressure but they usually ask if I want a manicure too and accept my " no thank you" nicely. read more

California Nails has 3 nail stations and 2 pedicure stations and seems generally sanitary--the tools are cleaned in one of those UV toaster ovens, and as my toes dried I saw them spray down the foot tub with disinfectant. I was the only person there on a weekday afternoon. The woman who did my toenails was kind and talkative, and she did a decent job. $13 manicures and $25 pedicures are a little steep, as far as I'm concerned, but for being in the middle of nowhere in Candler, I'll take what I can get. read more

I never get pedicures so I'm not sure if folks think $25 is reasonable or not. For me it's a lot of money, but since I can't paint my toes myself for several weeks (due to surgery) I truly appreciate the fabulous job the lady did on my feet. I was the only one in the salon on this week day afternoon and the lady was very sweet and talkative. Sorry I can't remember her name! She did an excellent job!
