Great nail place in terms of quality but don't be late or they will be pissed. I made a last minute appointment to get there within 45 minutes then had a work call that I needed to take so was 15 minutes late. It was my first time there. They called me as I was walking in, which didn't bother me as I let them know what happened. But it was the gruff treatment throughout the visit that will likely keep me from returning. It was like they couldn't bounce back from me being late and they weren't busy, which was totally strange. Cici nails is a quality salon. It is family run and all associates do excellent work. I've been going here since 2020 and have always been very happy with my service. They are busy and rarely can you get in without making an appointment. So, if you need a walk in salon this is probably not going to work for you. I was not happy with my experience at this salon. They cut my cuticles too short making me bleed on 6 of my nails and 2 on my friend, the towel they put down under mine and my friends' hands were dirty, and multiple times my nail lady got up to go work on someone else's nails leaving me in the UV dryer for up to 5 minutes at a time. At the end they tried to charge me full price of $30 for the gel manicure and I had to ask for a discount which they gave me $5 off. I'm so glad I discovered this nail salon. Instead of the usual TV's blaring, the setting is much more peaceful and relaxing. What I especially like and I know is off putting for some is that they honor an appointment. The last salon I went to was extremely eager to make every dollar and at the expense of long term clients. I would schedule an appointment, then have to sit and wait for as many as 20 minutes after I arrived since they had taken someone ahead of me. A few times, I actually was totally bumped after a larger party walked in before I arrived. CiCi's has a very small staff but they do a great job and are personable folks. They maintain a clean atmosphere and their prices are reasonable. If what you seek is a salon that takes walk-ins, this isn't the place for you. To the previous poster who complained of calluses not being treated, if you need something specific, it's always a good idea to let someone know. I'm sure the staff at CiCi's would put extra effort into accomodating you. read more

Whitney did a great job on my manicure and is also a very sweet person. Very clean, very organized and spacious. My daughters and I all got great pedicures and we didn't feel like any of the techs were rushing through the process. Had an overall great experience here. I came in with an appointment and waited 20 mins to be seen which is why I took one star off--they did have me sit with my feet in the whirlpool while I waited which was nice. The gel manicure I got there was perfect and I will definitely be back for those! The pedicure was great too but chipped within a few days which was a bummer. Overall will be back! read more

Fantastic experience. They were particularly great with my 10-year old daughter.

I came in for a "deluxe pedicure" and left with nothing more than my toenails painted and legs rubbed down! Not only was I disappointed that there was no exfoliation of my feet, but when I returned home and put my slippers on, the polish rubbed off of my big toes! I went back the next day, and they "fixed it", had me stay under the dryer for a longer period of time, and the SAME thing happened! I went back again, and asked for my money back, and the owner refused. She said they fixed it for me, while I pointed at my half painted pedicure! My mom and I went there and asked them if they wanted had time to do nails and they said they were busy and we can call them and schedule an appointment. So My mom went there to schedule an appointment but the "appointments" they had was empty. My mom and I were running late and asked them if they could move the appointment and said no and then we asked them again if they could move into an hour and they said no because they're going to be "busy." My mom said she would call somebody else. They called us back again and said "Don't come back to CICI's Nails again." My mom said "that's fine." Usually good but when I asked for a different person to do my nails, the woman who runs the place would not look at me and refused to speak to me in English. She just kept telling one person to do my nails. She would not acknowledge me nor answer my questions as to what she was saying in Vietnamese. I finally left and she laughed. Neither I my wife or my three kids will ever go back there. That's a lot of money to let walk out the door plus our usual 20% tip. I've finally found the nail salon in Asheville for me. Very nice, polite people who do a great job. The atmosphere is restful and relaxing. No TV with obnoxious shows I don't want to see. I love that they keep appointments on time and don't try to squeeze in everyone who walks in. Took my mom for her first pedicure in her life at age 91 - Jenny was wonderful. Gentle, thorough and very skilled at taking on the challenge of my mom's nails. She patiently soaked, cut, trimmed, buffed, massaged,hot toweled, etc. My mom's nails never looked so good. She was on cloud 9 enjoying the beautifully feeling her feet had. It was quiet and restful being there. No blaring music. We will do this again. I highly recommend this place - it was clean, and the staff was very kind. read more
