This was my third visit... they never disappoint. But last night was magical. The food, the ambiance everything was bang on. That blackened shrimp was unbelievably delicious. @cydsinthepark can you please put that on your entree with 2 or 3 shrimp skewers.... my husband had the grouper, I tried that too, the fish was incredibly cooked. You guys have some amazing chefs for sure. And last but definitely not the least, that scallops over potato grits...that is pure those crispy kale, caramelized onions and crispy bacon chunks went sooooo well with the creamy cheesy grits... and on top those buttery scallops... She had a rice bowl which was essentially the salmon bowl without the salmon but for essentially the same price. The atmosphere is beautiful and exactly what I'd hoped for. I love Cyd's! Finally ate at the new location! I have a few favorites there such as the grilled cheese and tomato soup (love the fact that it's not a creamy soup as most tomato soups are). I also love the BLT sandwich, which is what I got most recently! I also LOVE their French fries.... they are seriously SOOO good! Love the new location and that it is slightly more formal where they take your order at the table you are sitting at. The new decor and environment is so so so cute! We had a very disappointing experience here last week. We arrived at 12:00 and put our names on the wait list. We were told 20 min. That was fine except 45 min later we were still not seated. What was worse was that 3 tables were sat before us. It was like we were forgotten until I went to the hostess asking for a table. Then we sat for close to 20 min at the table with no water or service. We ended up leaving before our waitress even got to the table. It was such a bad experience and very disappointing. read more

I've been a huge fan of Cyds for years! I absolutely love their tarragon chicken salad, turkey club, sweet potato fries with their chipotle sauce, and Brussels sprouts. Everything I've ever tried has been delicious. Their new location has an amazing vibe and you can tell they paid attention to every single detail, including the bathrooms! I love the outdoor space and look forward to more nights at the star bar or hanging outside with friends. Side note: their frose is delicious, but the serving size seemed smaller than other beverages for the same price. I also don't love that I have to go outside then into another space to get cookies after lunch at their market! Would love them to offer some of those items on their regular menu! read more

My coworkers were excited to take me here for lunch but we were all a bit let down. The sandwiches were a bit pricey which would have been okay but our Reuben specials were simply not very good. The corned beef tasted closer to a deli slice of ham and wasn't the succulent, tender, and textured cut of meat that we were expecting. The mustard was a bit dry and overly strong with lots of mustard seed and the overall, the sandwich was underwhelming. The potato and bacon soup that a couple of us had was great as were the sides of fried chips and potato salad. Food is great but customer service is terrible. We waited over 20 minutes after being seated on a weeknight before our server ever came to our table. It took even longer just to get some water while we waited. It was a warm evening and we were seated outside. Everyone around us was being taken care of including a couple with a dog. The dog got a water bowl faster than we got water at our table and they came in after us. Also, beware of the tablet checkout at your table! I was over charged for a tip amount that I did not leave. I contacted them about it and nobody ever returned my emails or phone calls. I won't be returning to Cyd's and will give my business to other establishments I can trust. read more

I previously have had very good lunch experiences at Cyd's, however my first Cyd's dinner experience tonight was very disappointing. At 7pm my family of 6 was added to the waitlist for an outside table. At 8:15 pm, I received a text notification saying "see the hostess your table is next." When I went up to the hostess station, she told me they were done seating tables for the evening. We were never presented the option to sit at an inside table even though the inside had numerous empty tables. It was a very long wait with an 8 month old that that ended with us going home hungry and disappointed. read more

Love the feeling you get when you walk in to Cyd's. It's so classy and everything is tastefully displayed and looks so fancy. I love their selection of salads and items in the deli case. Today I had tarragon chicken salad and a fizzy wuzzy fruit juice. Both were excellent. I only come here about once a year, because I can't afford eating here. Don't get me wrong, great food, fun atmosphere. But if I'm going to spend $25 on a nice meal, I'm going to get more than a cold plate and a cookie. I'm from out of town visiting Cyds came highly recommended went to lunch there with a few friends on Saturday sat at the bar the bartender never introduced herself took 7 minutes to be even noticed. when I asked her what her name was she said Maggie she was too busy fraternizing with another female and serving her own drinks to herself therefore we no longer were interested in ordering food. we finished our drinks and left without a tip My only tip is to quit hiring people fresh out of the marijuana fields and hire people who need a job to support their family and enjoy what they do.The bartender drinking behind the bar was completely unprofessional and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone its unprofessional they laugh about their cust.,drink and smoke on the job FYI.I've been a secret shopper for 10yrs I'm 52 and enjoy a good classy time and love to support small businesses but Cyds is NOT on the radar. read more

I've been here 3 times and 2/3 times has been a poor experience. I figured the last bad experience was a fluke and we should try again. We went out with a group of friends. 4 adults and 7 kids. We picked Cyd's for the outdoor setting - my kids love the sand box and being able to run in the park after we eat. 1) Expensive. Our bill was $110 for 2 adult meals (1 chicken sandwich and 1 hamburger with water as drinks) and 2 kids meals (chicken tenders with lemonade as drinks). I wouldn't mind the price if it came with the service to match. 2) We ordered an appetizer for the table and never received it. (they did take it off of our bill, but no apology for the missed item when we asked where it was) 3) All of our food came out at different times over a 15 minute time frame.. which made things very chaotic. 4) They tried to serve our table with someone else's food.. twice. 5) I was also disappointed to learn that their menu is completely different lunch vs dinner. They offer sweet potato fries for lunch, but not for dinner? .. ok. I'll just stop here. . . 2/5 stars might even be pushing it. This is definitely the last time my husband will agree to going here. For the price, we should have picked up Rizzi's to go and sat at the picnic tables in the park and let our kids play. I'm super disappointed. read more

Cyd's has the best BLT I have ever eaten. The bread is homemade and grilled to perfection, the egg yolk is runny and delicious, and you can add avocado to make it even better. It comes with homemade chips, which are delicious, and usually food comes out pretty quick! The burgers are also pretty good, and the desserts are also great. Love Cyds in the Park!! Went last night for dinner, drinks and great live music - everything was wonderful! I was dining with a vegetarian so we ordered the Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich with fries, and the Harvest Vegetable sandwich with chips. The food was delicious - the veggie sandwich was fresh and hearty and the homemade chips and fries were crispy and yummy. You can tell it was crafted in a gourmet kitchen. The outdoor atmosphere is beautiful with plenty of unique comfortable seating, hanging lights, looking out over the park and lots of open space to remain socially distant. This place is amazing! From the moment you walk in, you can tell just how much everyone cares about your experience. The atmosphere is hip but relaxed and completely free of pretense. The food is creative but with an emphasis on deliciousness. Their signature cocktails are really well thought out, and the wine list features off-the-radar varieties and styles - not stuff you can find just anywhere. The glue that holds it all together is Keith, aka Director of Groove, who will bend over backward to make sure everyone has a completely great experience. One of our favorite places in Peoria. Cyd is an artist. Cyd's is not like any other place around. It feels like a work of art, by someone who had a vision and decided to create it. We need more of that in Peoria, and in the world. I do feel a small inconsistency regarding their new space. It's a wonderful location. Beautiful, and a very good move from the previous place in Junction City. But, there is something about the vibe of the new place that feels inconsistent to me with who Cyd's is, or has been. In the past, Cyd's has been all about the food. The food is their art. The atmosphere has, in the past, felt subservient to the food -- the art. In the new place, the vibe is sort of "modern bar" with really dim lights and dull, bass-heavy, sort of trans-y music. It feels like a place you'd want to go drink and smoke and lose yourself. But the *art* of Cyd's, the food, makes me want to be *present*. I want to be totally there. So, for me, the vibe is detracting from what I feel is the heart of Cyd's. I still like it, but it feels a little off. In my opinion, moving the vibe to something a little more classic and "out of the way" in order to put the emphasis back on the food -- on the art -- would bring things back into alignment. I still love the place though, and all of this only makes my 5 star review into a 4 star one. :) read more

Their version of bruschetta is not only strange, but overly salty due to way too many kalamata olives. $41+ is strong for lunch, but worth it if the service and/or food are exceptional. First, we watched the young lady behind the counter pick up a piece of bread in her BARE HAND, and proceed to make a sandwich. Entire process was done bare-handed, a blatant violation of health code regarding bare skin contact with RTE foods. My wife asked to have her bread toasted for her chicken salad sandwich. She was told that the grill was in a different area and he was "way to busy back there" to toast her bread. She was understandably aggravated. When our food was delivered she noted that my burger bun was toasted so she asked the young lady if she ordered her her chicken salad sandwich on a bun if she could THEN get it toasted. Again she was told no, they wouldn't take an order for a chicken salad sandwich on a bun because they were different areas and couldn't be combined like that. There wass absolutely no way to get it on a toasted anything!! Cyd and her staff can cater to the Prospect Ave/East Peoria group that is SO enamored with her restaurant, I'll take my toast loving wife, and my money, to one of the many other Peoria restaurants that want and appreciate my business. read more
