Well sure enough, I left the trickle charge off too long and managed to ruin not one, but two batteries. So, instead of calling the Dealership, I called my friends Jeff and Scott at CyclPath motorcycle in Kirkland. When I showed up an hour later, two brand new batteries were waiting there on the counter for me. Thanks!

Shortly after these handle bars fell into my lap. .

On god, after a handle bar job on my 2020 Street bob. I was in the middle of riding when I hit a small bump and the bars became loose. Lucky i was able to pull over safely. So for anyone with a 2015 or newer bike, I wouldn't recommend this place for your safety and just pay a bit more at a dealership. Btw these guys didn't tell me about check engine light that came on and wasn't like that when it went in.

I now own 3 Harley's - a 94 Softtail Springer that was frame-swapped and chopped by Cyclpath, a 2000 Electraglide Classic I bought in 2011 required a Stage III Power Commander to make run right with the previous owner's Reinhart Exhausts (no maps for the 2000 fuel Injection) along with gear driven cams (no chain failure fear) and replacement of warped front rotors, new tires, drive belt, etc.. and an S&S 'slobber' was built from the left over 94 Springer frame and forks last year. Scott and Jeff have been my bike mechanics and builders for 15 years, and I trust them to do it right. (But verify!). When you have a long relationship, you learn where the "soft-spots' are, and those are typically the ubiquitous apprentice mechanic that does the "easy stuff". Over the years I've experienced loose bolts and nuts (oiled the rear tire I should have caught, front break mount bolt fell out I also should have caught, missing seat-bolts I did catch), pinched new front tire tube (went flat pulling into Spokane). With the exception of the tire tube, all things *I* should have caught too. But with all the work and maintenance they've done perfect for me over the years, I mention the few times that fell short only to emphasize the owner/rider has the ultimate responsibility and pays the ultimate price for their own neglect and lack of diligence. Nobody is perfect all the time. (I'll note here that my experience with the 'mother-ship' dealers has been far worse, both in cost and quality.) Because they are 'best in the Northwest' (not just *my* humble opinion) CyclPath is typically very busy - so you need to partner with them in working on your bike - you're the final QC inspector when you pick it up, and every time you get ready to ride. For the record, I've never caught Scott being less than perfect in anything he's done (5-stars for him), from rebuilding engines and trannys, building bikes "from scratch", to restringing spokes to correct a tracking issue. Heading for Sturgis in a week and a half, the glide goes in for (long-overdue) fork service and a once-over in a couple days. "The road goes on forever and the party never ends.."

All back together and ready for it's 500 mile test ride. All smiles from this happy customer.

I purchased my motorcycle in 2005 and have put 25k+ miles in it. Rather then trade it in on a new one I decided to have some pretty expensive work done to it to make it better than new. That way I get to keep what has become a trusted friend and have it be better and cooler than what comes out of the factory in 2019. I talked to several shops around town and decided on cyclpath as they seemed to be the most knowledgeable and took the extra time to advise me on upgrade options. Although I choose the higher end of the budget with a S&S 124 upgrade kit, New handlebars, air ride, tires and a little chrome eye candy, they never pushed me higher dollar work. Nor did they every really get cranky with my continuing to call to add things to my order. That said, the team there shines bright when it comes to subject matter expertise and not being pushy for more work. Being a pretty large job requiring engine machining for the Big Bore Kit, the bike was there for a couple weeks. During this time the kept me well informed of the progress of parts, updates to work status which meant a lot to me. It sort of felt like Christmas ever other day as new parts would come in and be bolted on the the bike. Most importantly, the experience felt more like a group of friends were working on my bike rather than a dark hole in a dealership. I am now 750 miles into my 1000 mile break in and the bike runs great. The experience having them do the work was awesome and besides having a whole lot more power the bikes better than I remember it brand new in 2005. I can feel the quality of their work in the bike while I ride it. A well earned five start review from me and I am a guy who rarely gives them. This is a top notch team that knows how to take care of both their customers and their bikes.

I was having a problem with my bike so called Optimum. They said it couldn't be seen for a couple weeks so an appointment was made. You'd think that having an appointment, particularly one you had to wait weeks for, would mean your bike would be looked at fairly quickly. After all, why else have an appointment if it isn't designating the time you're going to get service? And, indeed, when I dropped it off Porcia told me she'd have her tech look at it and get back to me in a couple days. But after a week, I'd heard nothing. NEVER RETURN CALLS So I called, got their voice mail and left a message which was never returned. Three more calls, two more weeks, and still no calls returned. Finally I called the main number and said I'm having difficulty reaching the service desk. A woman who did not identify herself got on the phone, rattled off some boilerplate sentences saying her tech has been busy, but she'd get back to me the next day. Since she never asked who I was or which bike was mine and said nothing but generalities I didn't believe I was getting anything other than being "handled" and brushed off. And, as expected, I didn't get called the next day. MISREPRESENT THE WORK THEY DID Finally got a text from Porcia: "my technician went on about two decently long test rides today" and had duplicated the problem. But when I picked up the bike, the odometer hadn't changed. My bike wasn't even taken for a test drive down the block, let alone "two decently long test rides". How much service time was I charged for test rides and other work and diagnostics that were not actually performed? FOCUS ON "HANDLING THE CUSTOMER INSTEAD OF ADDRESSING THE ISSUES I wrote the Service Dept Manager (Michael Mason per their website) about all this but the reply came from Porcia with an attempt to explain how a "long test ride" doesn't really mean a test ride at all and more I'm-reviewing-this-with-our-service-dept-team PR handling. (If they actually have a "team", why can't anyone return a call?) Finally I got a call from "General Manager" Adrielle who delivered more "handle the customer" by throwing Porcia under the bus ("I've been working with her on being better") now claiming they'd actually did two hours of diagnostics that they never billed me for (at $200/hr). Something they never mentioned ever before until I raised a question about them charging me for work not performed. SUMMARY Never call back when they say they will. Make up excuses that they didn't mean what they said. Suddenly come up with claim they took $400 off the bill they never mentioned before. Handle the customer instead of actually attempting to resolve any issues. Lose a long time customer.

He's working as a mobile mechanic now which suited me even better, since I didn't have to deal with trying to load a dead bike into a truck or have it towed. After getting the runaround from several other mechanics for months, I was elated he agreed to come and have a look. He came the next day, drained the old gas, cleaned out the carb and made adjustments and miraculously got it started and running in about 4 hours. We chatted while he worked and he was happy to answer all questions I had about bikes, his business, his background, anything. He charges $50 for the visit and $60/hr for work, which I thought was a bargain for this wizard with a wrench. I plan on calling him back soon to replace a cruddy choke assembly (he fixed the part as best he could but said I should order a new one) and maybe do some other mundane stuff to get the bike ready for sale. He also works on scooters which is great since I bought one this spring. I absolutely recommend Fabio for your motorcycle mechanical needs - he answers his phone, shows up, is honest, doesn't judge and knows what he's doing! Did I mention he SHOWS UP?
