We were shocked that there was no one answering the phone on Saturday and Sunday after our Friday night incident, but promptly showed up as directed on Monday morning only to find that we had been directed to the wrong yard. The people there seemed like they were ready to pop, over hassled, stressed, and not happy to see anyone. After a 40 minute wait, we were direct to the correct yard on the other side of town. That's where things changed - we went from "I will never use these clowns again" to the professionalism of Krystal - what a relief; someone trying to help, knowledgeable, courteous, and unruffled. It was today that I went outside to take a look at my Mercedes, and the WHOLE RIGHT SIDE is scraped!!! I literally JUST replaced both bumpers and had repainted all the minor scratches to get it in top shape, but now THIS! I took pictures, but we'll see what they have to say. I then had to go to Ken's impound lot the next day for a virtual inspection for Allstate's purposes. Long story short, Allstate was backed way up because of a plethora of accidents recently, and I had to wait at the impound yard for about 3 hours, on hold, with Allstate's "virtual assistant." The tow truck driver had to wait with me due to security reasons, and he hung out there patiently the whole time, and shared interesting stories about his work as a tow truck driver. I wish I knew his name, his presence was greatly appreciated. He could have easily and understandably locked the gate and moved on to other things after an hour of waiting. Allstate eventually started the inspection as it was getting dark, and within 24 hours our family had the cash value of our totaled car in hand, all with minimal headache. I credit both the patient, kind tow truck driver and Allstate with making a bad situation better.

They reached out to Easy Towing, who was there in about 15 minutes despite the app asserting it could be up to an hour. Art took lots of pictures, and was careful with our front bumper (it was pretty low and the flat didn't help) and got our front and back wheels off the ground and the car towed away to the dealer in about 15 minutes more. I was trying to figure out how many days/hours the totaled car was in their lot, it seemed that I was being overcharged (I was mistaken). My son totaled my late husband's car. It's not about the money but I was confused and LJ bullied me, he shouted at me, and then refused to accept my debit card for payment. LJ said he didn't trust the card. It's a debit card LJ, the money comes out...period. Yes, I was swearing but for crying out loud I'm 5'1" and LJ did a power play. He insisted that I return with cash. He threatened that he wouldn't be there and I would have to come back another day. He insisted that I call back for another appointment because it was a non-work day. Before I left Starbuck's towing I called for another appointment and he said he couldn't be there, I'd have to come another day. I said to LJ I was told that I could collect the car at anytime during the weekend and all I needed was a 1-hour notice. After that LJ said he'd be there. I returned within an hour with cash to pay the bill. LJ was still a bully, no more shouting but he was belligerent and still a bully. It's pathetic that Starbuck's towing cares so little about the people in the city where they make a ton of money. Obviously a contract with the city of Bellevue or weird relationships with the Bellevue police department keeps them in business.
