We were railroaded into Starbucks after an accident, the police officer basically insisted that we contact Starbucks rather than AAA. We felt that we had a choice between Starbucks without a ticket and AAA with a ticket. We were shocked that there was no one answering the phone on Saturday and Sunday after our Friday night incident, but promptly showed up as directed on Monday morning only to find that we had been directed to the wrong yard. The people there seemed like they were ready to pop, over hassled, stressed, and not happy to see anyone. After a 40 minute wait, we were direct to the correct yard on the other side of town. That's where things changed - we went from "I will never use these clowns again" to the professionalism of Krystal - what a relief; someone trying to help, knowledgeable, courteous, and unruffled. Not only did he reach to the location within 10-15 mins of calling for the tow, but he also helped us understand what might be going on with our car and why we were facing what we were facing! This helped us get calm about the whole situation. My motorcycle was towed and impounded by this company by the Washington State Patrol. Why the state works with this company is for another post. My phone calls were ignored or returned just before closing. I had voicemails left just before closing. When I called back, again, the after hours dispatch had no idea of, or whereabouts of my vehicle. The first time they said they attempted to deliver my bike, after I paid in full for all towing and impound fees, i was told their truck broke down and it would be after 'traffic' the next day. My bike was delivered at 10:30pm. No paperwork was given to me at the time. And the keys to my bike were not with it.I had to call back and request paperwork and the staff member(name with held out of kindness) was rude, reluctant in providing legal documents and hung up on me. I still haven't received the keys to my bike - 12 days later.... This company violated the Vehicle Impound Notice to mail by 1st class within 24 hrs of impoundment. And, in neglecting their duty to provide the paperwork I had less legal time to contest. And, they did not provide proper paperwork for contesting the impoundment. read more

We had another towing company referred to us by insurance roadside assistance. They wound up breaking my steering column, leaving my truck stuck permanently in park. They then abandoned us on the shoulder of 520 in heavy traffic and 90 degree weather, saying it wasn't their fault that my truck was a POS. Wow. After we contacted State Patrol so we could get to safety somewhat quickly, WSDOT incident response showed up. It felt like an angel had been called after our experience with the other tow company. WSDOT gave us water, called a tow for us, and made sure we were safe until Starbucks showed. I was a bit concerned at how this all would work because my truck was now stuck in park. But the driver was a consummate pro. He dollied up the back wheels no problem, and we were underway in about 20 minutes. Thank you, Starbucks, for restoring my faith in your profession. read more

I did not called for help. Somebody did. The towing company arrived where my car crashed. They did not even talk to me. Simply towed my car away. I was telling them I am not authorizing this action. They did not even tried to talk to me. I was telling officers that I have called for help to tow my car away. But State patrol officer has decided that this particular towing company should take care of it, even though my car was 10 feet away from the road. When my towing guy arrived he noticed they were pulling my car in "not proper way". Sunday they are closed and to get my car will cost 90.00 more just because they will come to the job site and let me have my car. Is state patrol playing money game with this tow guy? I don't know. I'm the owner of Mr. Nice Guy Towing in Puyallup WA. I had a 75 year old customer who's car was impounded by Crossroads Towing in Bellevue. Crossroads treated my customer poorly and were so unprofessional we had to call the police. Starbucks towing was hired to remove the vehicle from Crossroads lot because the police couldn't force them to allow me, and Crossroads towing shouldn't touch anyones vehicle. The Starbucks driver came out and was very professional, treated the 75 year old customer with dignity and respect, skillfully removed his property from the clutches of the bad towing outfit. The dispatcher (I'm guessing that's what he was) talked with me with the professional courtesy that most of us towers show one another. To top it off they didn't even charge the customer for this ordeal. True class and respect! Where Crossroads Towing gives our Industry a bad reputation Starbucks more than makes up for it. My Jeep was towed 2 days ago, for 2 days and a towing I payed less then $300. Also they accept credit cards and I was surprised in a good way, cause most towing companies only take cash. I still payed cash cause I already came prepared to pay cash, but it's good to know that they accept credit cards too. Now I know who to call when I'm around that area and need help. Hey LJ! What can you do when bullied by an employee at a towing company? Nothing! Starbuck's towing employee LJ was pissed at me because I was upset. I was trying to figure out how many days/hours the totaled car was in their lot, it seemed that I was being overcharged (I was mistaken). My son totaled my late husband's car. It's not about the money but I was confused and LJ bullied me, he shouted at me, and then refused to accept my debit card for payment. LJ said he didn't trust the card. It's a debit card LJ, the money comes out...period. He insisted that I return with cash. He threatened that he wouldn't be there and I would have to come back another day. He insisted that I call back for another appointment because it was a non-work day. Before I left Starbuck's towing I called for another appointment and he said he couldn't be there, I'd have to come another day. I said to LJ I was told that I could collect the car at anytime during the weekend and all I needed was a 1-hour notice. After that LJ said he'd be there. I returned within an hour with cash to pay the bill. LJ was still a bully, no more shouting but he was belligerent and still a bully. It's pathetic that Starbuck's towing cares so little about the people in the city where they make a ton of money. Obviously a contract with the city of Bellevue or weird relationships with the Bellevue police department keeps them in business. If I had been with the car and was able to request a towing company I would NOT use Starbucks towing. Stay away. read more

My car got towed by these guys, and i gave this car to my son, so he drives it everyday at work. When he went to pick it up he was unable to pick it up had to have my wife go and pick it up and the bill was $423.24 for being in their storage for less than 7 hours. What a rip off company. Beware this is a poorly managed business potentially unscrupulous operation. If you have a vehicle towed here get it out asap, particularly if you need any kind of documentation of any transactions regarding your vehicle. When asked to show documentation of their exchange with a salvage company they were unable to do so and recorded the supposed amount they paid the salvage company as a "discount" amount to the overall bill to the customer. Who knows what the actual value for the vehicle was or what they received and how it is recorded. Reporting this to the BBB as well. read more

The driver sent to jump start her car destroyed the entire electrical system. Negative. This company is down right corrupt. After my car was towed, they refused to release the car to me because it was not registered in my name. I explained I had just purchased the vehicle 3 days before and had not had the chance to. They then said I MUST have the vehicle registered in my name before they would release the vehicle. I told them I do not have enough money for the registration and DMV fees at the moment, but that I had permission from the registered owner, and that I was the legal owner. They still refused to give the car. Low and behold, fees occurred and racked up, and after about 30 days they sold the car. I asked them for a bill of sale of the vehicle, but they have refused to give it. I am currently filing a small claims against them as it turns out, WA Law specifically says Legal owners, and people with permission from the registered owner by law are entitled to the vehicle. This is a "Christian" organization. If this is what Christians represent I see why it's on the decline! read more
