I later called another shop and got an estimate for the exact same work at $1,200, which confirmed that their quote was on the very high side. I declined the work and went to pick up my car. I was told they did a minor cleaning of the brakes to reduce the noise, and I was charged a little over $100. Unfortunately, the brakes squeaked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I didn't make a big deal about that since the underlying issue wasn't addressed -- but when I got home, I noticed my hubcaps hadn't even been removed. That really made me question whether any work was actually performed at all. Between the high pricing, the ineffective "fix," and the suspicion that my car may have just sat in the shop while I still paid over $100, I will not be returning here. I would recommend that others get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this shop.

So I agreed to do both. during work it was discovered that the radiator also leaked so I agreed to replacing that as well. When I met with John to pick the car up he simply handed me my keys and said he wasn't going to charge me for any of the work performed due to the shops inability to correct a new starting issue with the vehicle he suggested that it runs fine and starts perfect most the time, so maybe I just drive it. Suggested I could take it to another shop and diagnose what's wrong with it but really it wasn't a big runability issue. So now I'm thinking what the heck did you do to my car, so I took it to GM in Auburn and paid for diagnosis. John expects that I should be happy with the fact I didn't have to pay for any of the work that he performed on the vehicle. In his mind evidently future repairs which are substantial plus the car I had to rent because this was my daily is all on me, not his problem. Now my car sits in the GM backlot waiting for a camshaft that is backordered for a month or two​. What they found was an absolute shocker.. John's shop had broken the exhaust camshaft and then repaired it with what looks to be 5-minute epoxy.. 5 MINUTE EPOXY!

I purchased a rebuilt motor from East Valley Auto Rebuild. I got a great deal on it during one of…read morethe online coupon specials. I installed the motor myself to save money. Unfortunately after installing the motor I started having issues with it leaking oil. I brought it back and found out there was no warranty since I did the install myself. I talked to Mark the owner and he said they would pull the timimg belt cover and replace all the seals behind it. They also would replace the cam cover seal on the passenger side and he would give me a discount. It ended up being a $800 dollar job and I paid $300. I drove the car for about a week and noticed the other side cam seal was now leaking. So I went back to East Valley Auto Rebuild and talked to Mark and he said they would do the other side and I would have to pay some since it's a lot of labor. I wrote Mark a letter describing my situation and why I felt this repair should be covered at their cost. They replaced the other side cam seal and power steering bracket. When I came in to pick up the car Mark called me into his office and explained that they would cover all the cost at no additional expense to me. He also showed me the broken power steering bracket that they replaced for free. In the end I was satisfied with their work. Mark has a lot of knowledge and experience on Subaru's that most mechanics don't have. They also are good at working on custom project cars. When I went in the shop I saw a complete drive train / motor swap going on between two very different cars. I've put over 3,000 miles on the car since the last repair and I'm confident it is now fixed.

After we took my Nissan in for a transmission flush and to replace a belt I bought but didn't get around to changing the called to let me know they found a small leak and it wasn't a big issue now but it could be if I didn't do anything about. They informed me versus told me and gave me the option on whether to have it taken care of. They provided a price breakdown with the new service. I didn't feel pressured to get it done. They even went above and beyond by sending pictures of a few things that they found that needed repairs. They really built trust with me quickly. A few years ago we had to move to Washington due being relocated due to work. I've had my SUV for 22 years, it's in good condition and runs well. On this model the vacuum hose can get knocked out of place easily which can cause air to blow on my feet constantly which drives me nuts. Usually I have had to take more time off work to go in and get this fixed because they did not listen to me when I explained about the hose during the initial drop off, but THEY listened and I got it back without any problems at all. They were also able to get me in the next week to fix those other items, one of which was a big repair. I never felt overcharged either as my services ended up being a little less than the estimate. I'm really happy that I found such a great place because even though my SUV is pretty old at this point, I really love it and want to keep it running as long as possible. I'm excited about getting all the new tech perks that come with a new vehicle, but this is my first vehicle that I bought for me, and I still love it and am not ready to let go just yet, and with this place, I know we're in good hands.
