I scheduled the appointment for the day after Christmas. I told them I would drop the vehicle off on the 26th because I would be out of town and that I would return to pick it up on Jan 2nd. I confirmed that this was doable and that they would be open for the drop off and pick up. I get a call at 8am on the 26th asking if I was still bringing the vehicle in. I told them I would be dropping it off later in the morning and that we had discussed I would pick it up a week later. I brushed it as a misunderstanding, it happens. I arrive the morning of the 2nd to pick up the vehicle and the shop is closed. I peek in the windows, and someone spots me and comes out to talk. I am told that the work was never done and that I would need to reschedule. Brake pads and rotors for a single axle are a very straightforward job, and they could not even get that done over a 3.5 day period. Not even a phone call to tell me what the situation was. There are enough repair place in Maple Valley/Covington that you can avoid this one.

You even need to disconnect the battery to get to the headlight area. So Black Diamond Auto changes it for me for a nominal fee. I just bring them the headlight bulb. Easy peasy and I'm so appreciative. Recently our sons older Ford needed some work that was out of our scope. Intake manifold work. BDA charged way less than what we expected. And when we brought it home, after being fixed, sadly it was still leaking transmission fluid. BDA took the truck back without hesitation and fixed the gasket leak within the day. Last car they accept is at 4:30pm and they close at 6p. I called multiple times between 2-3pm and was disconnected/hung up on. Never found a human on the phone and since I was nearby I decided to drive in and see if I could do a walk-in appt. I arrived at 3:45pm! The guy at the desk was part of the other shop to the left, and told me the lady for my shop would be back in 30 minutes and she would help me then. Not sure how they can run services when phones are down / front desk person is gone for 1.5 hours or more. I left after 15 min more of waiting in person, and am taking my business elsewhere.
