I was so nervous for over a year to try barre as many of my friends said it would be so hard. I…read morechallenged myself yesterday and did something I felt uncomfortable with and came here with my 614 fit week pass to try it for the first time. Upon my arrival I was warmly greeted by Beth who owns the studio. There are two classrooms for barre, the first one she showed me was quite big and scenic with an outdoor view while the second was smaller. Beth explained the area a little bit and then I changed to get ready for my class with Stephanie. Stephanie was such a kind instructor and walked me through each step of the movements we were doing from the warm-up to the barre itself, I felt more confident as much as it hurt so much on my first day. I had so man helpful classmates too explain what to do when I got lost which was so nice. It's all about the movements. Those movements were small and big but they really did the job I was looking for in a fitness studio. Finally, after the 60 minutes we stretched and talked with instructor to get to know the studio and pricing a little bit. They offer a child care area but I don't need it right now. They even offered me a great discounted rate to join and I said I would think about it. If your looking for a challenging but do-able workout try barre, you having nothing to lose trying something new!

I was running later than I would've liked (it was so, so cold on Saturday) and arrived with 5 mins to class. The girl at the front introduced me to the instructor, let me catch my breath, and told me that I could fill the form out after class. My instructor was Jenna and she was wonderful - she checked on everyone through class and did a great job of demonstrating/explaining each move. It was an energetic, motivating and tough class that I thoroughly enjoyed! The studio was clean, had lockers, restrooms and also offered childcare for you mommas out there! They also have a large parking lot (bonus!) and a small retail section. It's on my list of studios to return to as I felt very welcomed and received a great workout!

I have been to several different Title Boxing locations and even boxed at professional gyms, so I…read morecame in expecting just another workout class. But Title Boxing Club North Columbus completely exceeded my expectations. Before it became what it is now, I had heard about the previous owners and how the experience used to lack energy and customer service. That is definitely not the case anymore. The new team has turned the place around. From the moment I walked in, the trainers made me feel like family. They are not just there to give you a hard workout. They really care about teaching proper technique and making sure you are improving in a safe and supportive environment. The vibe is welcoming, friendly, and full of good energy. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel like part of the group. I felt myself getting stronger, faster, and more confident with every class. If you are looking for a gym that combines real boxing training with a positive and encouraging atmosphere, this is the place. You can tell the new ownership really cares about building something special here, and I am grateful I got to be a part of it.

The water fountain bottle filler has been broken since I started over a year ago. The treads consistently mess up, which is super frustrating when you are trying to hit goals. They need to be upgraded like other studios. I love this place, but management needs to fix these issues that customers have been vocal about. Would be 5 stars if those improved.

This was our second class attending at Hotworx in Powell. We are waiting for our brand new Hotworx…read moreon 5th Avenue to open. So as a courtesy as we wait we were lucky enough to attend this second class just the other day. The first class we did was a 30 min pilates class, this time we did a 30 min yoga class. There are so many aspects we like about Hotworx. Working out in your own private sauna is so calming. Controlling not only the heat but the lightening and sound too. The virtual instructors really do keep you motivated throughout the challenging workout. We find they are really helpful in keeping you going through the hot, tough session. After both sessions we are dripping with sweat, but our muscles feel alive and exhausted. We make sure to try to hydrate well after each session. Completing a workout at Hotworx feels like an accomplishment. You should try it out sometime for yourself.

This place is amazing. I have always wanted to try kickboxing but have been really nervous because…read moreI am beyond uncoordinated. I signed up for the challenge online due to the corporate marketing claiming it's "free" and met with Amanda for my consultation. RIGHT OUT THE GATE she explained what the challenge is AND that there is a $500 deposit down for it. Was I bummed it wasn't free? SURE, but nothing good is. And if you meet the goal you get your money back, and if you don't the money goes towards a membership. I NEVER felt pushed into a sale, AND I have brought a friend to try a class with me and they were AMAZING at making her feel welcomed and not obligated to sign up. Again, NO PUSHINESS at all. As a VERY well trained saleswoman I eat pushy sales people for breakfast, but didn't have to here (which is good, cause im sure that would be approved in my meal plan). I am on the last week of my fitness challenge and I did NOT lose 25 pounds, which was my goal. BUT, a big part of that is the meal plan was actually MORE food than I was used to eating and my dumb self didn't think to bring this struggle to my nutrition coach until just recently lol MY BAD, she was able to alter the plan to suit me MUCH better after I let her know I was struggling. I have done intensive bootcamps, cardio training, EVERYTHING and nothing compares to this workout. I have also seen a few reviews about people not knowing what to do, YA JUST GOTTA ASK. Every class a trainer has helped me with my footwork and form, without promt, and if you ask they take the time to help you happily. This place ISN'T cheap, but I'm okay with it, I'm willing to invest QUALITY into my health. Looking forward to starting the membership and continuing to get strong. I have never felt so strong in my life and im loving it. Thank you ILKB! PS. You are allowed to wear socks, I DO, and they clean the mat after EVERY CLASS .

I attended my first class here last night and I still have mixed feelings about it…read more.. I signed up online for a 3 class pass for $9.99. You have to call and schedule your class with them, there's no online portal or app which I find very inconvenient. They immediately add you on Facebook and put you in their accountability group. Which may work for some people, but I'll probably leave it, I don't want my newsfeed full of people asking for others to motivate them to come to class. No one greeted me when I walked in, so I found the locker room myself and stored my things. The first class they ask you to show up half an hour early so you can fill out paperwork. You also get a personal trainer the first class, they limit new members to two per class. The trainer spends the class showing you how to perform the punches and kicks which is super helpful, but you don't get the same workout the rest of the class does. I also don't like that this class is barefoot... they don't clean the floors in between classes so it seems kind of gross, I'll probably wear socks next time. After the class ended they immediately asked me to buy a membership. I refused as I haven't actually experienced a full class yet and I would like to use my two remaining class passes first. From what I did see of their membership packages, they're super expensive, their best value package equaling out to $41 a week.... I'll go back for at least my next class, but if they push the membership I'm probably done. The locker room seems really nice and all of the members seem to know each other. Everyone was laughing and joking before and after class, so they definitely seem to have a strong sense of community.
