I…read morechallenged myself yesterday and did something I felt uncomfortable with and came here with my 614 fit week pass to try it for the first time. Upon my arrival I was warmly greeted by Beth who owns the studio. There are two classrooms for barre, the first one she showed me was quite big and scenic with an outdoor view while the second was smaller. Beth explained the area a little bit and then I changed to get ready for my class with Stephanie. Stephanie was such a kind instructor and walked me through each step of the movements we were doing from the warm-up to the barre itself, I felt more confident as much as it hurt so much on my first day. I had so man helpful classmates too explain what to do when I got lost which was so nice. It's all about the movements. Those movements were small and big but they really did the job I was looking for in a fitness studio. Finally, after the 60 minutes we stretched and talked with instructor to get to know the studio and pricing a little bit. They offer a child care area but I don't need it right now. They even offered me a great discounted rate to join and I said I would think about it. If your looking for a challenging but do-able workout try barre, you having nothing to lose trying something new!

I was running later than I would've liked (it was so, so cold on Saturday) and arrived with 5 mins to class. The girl at the front introduced me to the instructor, let me catch my breath, and told me that I could fill the form out after class. My instructor was Jenna and she was wonderful - she checked on everyone through class and did a great job of demonstrating/explaining each move. It was an energetic, motivating and tough class that I thoroughly enjoyed! The studio was clean, had lockers, restrooms and also offered childcare for you mommas out there! They also have a large parking lot (bonus!) and a small retail section. It's on my list of studios to return to as I felt very welcomed and received a great workout!

I attended a special event class with Tiffany and really liked it. I appreciate that they offer some slower paced formats for those of us who are new to (or returning to) yoga. Since that, I have been incorporating some "all levels" yoga classes into my workout routine. The studio space is no frills, but very welcoming. Be sure to bring your own mat and water (they do not have a water fill station at the studio.) It tends to be very warm in the room, so I suggest layers. They share a parking lot with several other businesses, but I have not had any trouble finding parking for evening classes. Online scheduling is very easy and they sell both monthly unlimited memberships and class packages.

I heard about Orangetheory Fitness when they first opened but the price just got to me at first. Then I went for my first class with Hannah B and was enticed afterwards. I was actually seeing results from my workout. Some of these other gyms I went to, the trainer shows up late then gives you half the time for your workout without concentrating on what your goals are. Here at Orangetheory Fitness the trainers are very dedicated to helping everyone reach their goals, in a comfortable and safe environment to workout. They will even adjust your workout if you have any injuries, etc going on, which I love because some of the other gyms didn't do that for me, which wound me up with an injury. The goal at Orangetheory is to be in the green, orange and red zones for at least 12 minutes. Coach Dee Dee is great at making sure you get there! She even has a killer playlist every time I come for her classes! What I love about this gym compared to the others is I get a variety of workouts. Such as weights, treadmill, and rowers. My other gym it was treadmill or nothing. I need variety to get my muscles going and heart rate up. Speaking of heart rate, if you wear the heart rate monitor it will track your progress on the TV screens throughout the class! How cool is that? We didn't have that at my other gyms! So what are you waiting for? Try Orangetheory Fitness today to see those calorie burning results!

I definitely recommend if you are struggling with motivation and looking to try something new!

Walking inside instantly makes you feel at ease and comfortable. The bathrooms are always stocked with the best toilet paper and actual hand towels. The little fridge has coconut water and regular bottle water in case you forgot your water bottle. I did that once! The class was small so we listened to a recording and our instructor Pooja practiced with us. The room was nice and hot. It went by quickly and just like that; the 90 minute class was done. I truly enjoyed it especially the ice cold lavender towel at the end. It makes me feel so good to have done something good for my body. I left feeling amazing: mind and body. All of them seem to love what they do and have been trained very well in the method. Some cycle studios that do choreography go all crazy with the movements , but I felt safe during the entire class . The cold eucalyptus towels , free water bottles and writing new peoples' names on lockers is a nice touch! Tracy, one of the managers, also stayed and chatted with me after my classes and answered all my questions about cyclebar . From beginning to end it really is a great experience and the Columbus fitness scene is really stepping it up .
