A Fitness Community That Feels Like Home!…read more I've been a member of Club Studio Elk Grove since shortly after its grand opening, and it's been wonderful watching the studio evolve. Andrew and Rose at the front desk consistently bring warmth and friendliness, while my favorite trainers, Brandon and Gaby, under Karina's leadership, make the fitness experience even more rewarding. Kristen, Car, and Irina are among my favorite instructors, and their classes are a big part of what keeps me coming back. The original custodial staff, including Diana, also did an amazing job maintaining the facility. Since her departure, the women's locker room has experienced some ups and downs, but I'm happy to say things seem to be trending in the right direction again. I frequently see Breena checking cleanliness and walking through with the team to ensure members are happy with the locker room and restroom experience. Ultimately, a great fitness studio is about more than equipment and classes. It's about the people, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail that make members feel valued. Club Studio has so many wonderful team members who contribute to that experience, and I appreciate seeing the continued effort to maintain a welcoming, clean, and enjoyable environment. Keep up the great work, Elk Grove team!

Seriously thinking about cancelling my membership…read more Let me start by saying I have been a member of the gym since April 2025, which means I've completed 200 plus workout sessions and I've invested exactly $2,772 into myself. Witht that being said, over the past 6 months I noticed during special occasions they'll invite vendors to set up their booths inside the front lobby area. I've even patronized some of them. There were vendors from real estate companies, spas, vendors selling t shirts and a coffee vendor was set up in the parking lot a couple of weeks ago and I've been a faithful customer of theirs. On October 6th, I reached out to K. to inquire about the possibility of having my business True Ora Beauty & Wellness featured during an upcoming event. Initially the feedback was good. However, I was told that my Wellness Supplements would be in direct competition with their onsite vendor Beaming it wouldn't be good fit. By the way, I've spent hundreds of dollars with Beaming as well. That peanut butter Açaí bowl is amazing. After hearing that legitimate argument, I reminded K. that I also offer a plethora of phenomenal non-competing products such as whitening toothpaste, body butters, perfumes, soaps, cologne, hair care products, make up etc After referring her back to my website, she then stated "Thank you for clarifying! I did have a chance to review your website, which is how I became aware of the supplements you offer. While I understand you have other products available, we do have to be mindful of potential overlap with our in-house offerings when members are directed to your website. I appreciate your interest and understanding." After receiving this message, I explained that as a faithful memebr The Club, I'm only asking that same opportunity you've provided others, some of which aren't paying members be extended to me. K. stated she'd refer me to the Operations Manager 7 days ago. What's really going on here?

Both locations have limited weekend hours as they close early on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Since both locations in this area close early members have to go to another location out of the way to work out. Closing at 7 pm on a Sunday is too early. At least keep the hours consistent with some of the other locations. This location seems to be a little neglected. The nautilus equipment is old and needs to be serviced more often. The seat adjustments on some nautilus machines don't fully work and are worn out. There's also equipment that has been broken for quite some time and hasn't been repaired. Also the jacuzzi was also out of service for a while. But is back up and running . Members pay a good amount for their monthly dues and should have good working equipment. Members pay a little more for membership here than some of the competitors out there. Some of the cheaper gyms almost all the equipment is in working condition. Make-In-Shape-Great-Again!

Short review: This place is awesome and I feel great after going there for a year…read more Long review: Like many folks, I got super sedentary during the pandemic. My old workout studio closed forever and I couldn't get myself to do stuff on my own. While I'm pretty active (I ride my bike to work everyday), I know I need something more. I was up to 300 lbs and felt achey all the time. I ate like crap and my knees hurt. I would side step up and down the stairs. Last year, I even tore my miniscus but still wasn't motivated enough to do physical therapy. Last fall, I finally felt like I was ready to find some place to workout again. But I didn't want to be shamed for my weight or for my lack of fitness. I decided that I would look for the closest "fitness" place near my house and did a google search. I called them up and talked to Tovah. I shared my concerns and that I wanted to be fit for regular life, not for some fancy future ironman training. Also, I didn't want to be shamed for my weight or encouraged to lose it. She was great and said that's not what they're about. They are all about helping people live well and be strong for what they need. I decided I would try... and mentioned I would love to do a 6am training. She laughed and referred me to Allison. Allison is the early bird trainer and I could NOT be any happier with ending up with her. She is the epitome of encouraging motivation. I was kinda appalled at the cost (it's WAY more expensive than my past with $26/month 24 hour fitness) so I thought "I'll try this for a month". Well, I am hooked and it is worth every penny and more. I have been going 2x/week at 6am to train with Allison for about a year. The change in my body has been astounding. No, I didn't lose weight. I'm still 300 lbs. But, I sleep without pain. I wake up without my feet hurting me. My knees allow me to walk straight downstairs without my usual side stepping. I am almost ready to start dancing and roller blading again. Tovah was right. This isn't a gym which shames you or makes you feel like you need to lose weight to be healthy. Yes, there are always things you can do with eating better, but I'm not there right now and that's okay. I can still get stronger. I have this feeling of pride when I do something I couldn't even dream of last year. The other women that work out are great too and it's wonderful to see people at different levels of ability and working on their own specific needs. This is personal training in a group setting. I've had personal training (couldn't afford that many sessions) and I've had group training (everyone doing the same thing didn't help me address my specific knee pain). I've also worked out on my own. This has been the best exercise experience of my life. I get personal training regimens on an app on my phone and go in twice a week where there is a small group (never more than 5 people) and Allison gives each of us specific pointers and support on how to do an exercise or how to modify for a specific injury or "this is your body today". Allison also provides workouts for when you want to do something on your own and she's really flexible about what she can provide. Going on vacation for 4 weeks and want to maintain some sort of routine? She's got you with minimal equipment. Needing a little extra stretching cause some muscles are cramping up? She'll give you just the right idea. Feeling strong and not sure if you want to move onto the next weight? She'll ask "How is that weight feeling to you?" and help you move up to the next challenge. I highly highly recommend EVO. They are all amazing. I've even interacted with Ty. When my hip was hurting like crazy, I made an appt with Ty and she assessed my strength and where my body might need some extra support. She gave that info to Allison and she incorporated that into my workouts. This is just such an amazing community. I joined in November last year and reluctantly went to a holiday party there where people laughed a lot, there was dancing, karaoke, and a fun time. Finally, let's talk money. I won't put exact numbers here since that may change... but let's just say I'm paying enough for a small car payment. But, it's worth it. Plus, you can use your flexible spending account to pay for it. It really is healthcare.

No matter your fitness level, anyone can do the workouts and leave feeling good. Coach Jalen once said, "The workouts aren't hard, just intense." I completely agree. Because anyone can do the exercises, but the difficulty level is completely up to you (until the coaches get on you that you're making it look too easy lol). Great gym, great coaches, great classes!!!
