Attended a class here on a Friday afternoon with a friend. There's street parking surrounding which can be a little hard at times so try to come early do you won't be late for class. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially if it's your first time there. They honor a lot of specials and deals for first timers!

WOW!!! What a workout!! First time here. Didn't know what to expect and definitely didn't think it was going to be tough. Instructor was Shannon. She's awesome. Super friendly. She immediately greeted me & helped with grabbing my shoes, getting set up. Everyone is super friendly but omg this is a serious workout. I couldn't keep up but definitely give this place a try.

Went to my first class this morning and all I can say is I feel pumped, energetic, and had a great start to my day. First class is free when signing up! You can also check in before your class starts on the app or in person, make sure to arrive a few minutes before class starts to pick out your shoes and tuck away any items in your assigned locker (should be the same number as the bike you chose). The bikes here are custom fitted to the shoes that are offered there as they clamp into the bike which really pushes you to keep going. The instructor I had was named Shannon, she was so welcoming to all the new people making sure we felt included and explained the process. She kept the class upbeat and encouraged us to keep doing our best. Overall I had a great workout and will definitely look into buying a package! Cant wait to come back

Great staff and great instructors with different styles. I have a handful of instructors I choose from that play music that gets you hyped up and dancing on the bike. I love how they call you out encouraging you to push harder, making that personal connection to motivate you. You'll definitely come out soaked in sweat. The lighting and sound system is amazing and they provide ear plugs if you need it. They provide quite a few things in the lobby, lockers, energy drinks, water, gum, wet towels after the ride, etc. The staff is very inviting. Try this studio out. It'll change your life.

Had to change my review of this business. Nothing to do with the instructors but the business themselves. When signing up they do NOT explicitly explain anything about how ride credits expiring. I spent $59 a month and then did not go for a month after a death in my family and all my classes had expired. The manager texted me and I requested to cancel. The manager said I had to email to cancel (even though she texted me and replied). It took me a few days to email and by then they said I didn't give them 30 days notice (I gave them 24 days via email, 34 days via text) and they said they will charge me again next month. Overall terrible member service with management and predatory sales behaviors. Would never recommend them, you're better off getting an actual gym membership. Hope this helps people!

    Class I took.

Again, equipment is broke down. They don't check machines or sanitize between rides and just refill towels. The bike i got one was drenched in sweat yuck.

What makes CycleBar different is that the distance, power, RPM, and watts are measured during the ride. I personally love that as it gives me some accountability and makes me work even harder to beat my previous stats. On occasions, the leaderboard will be displayed during class for some individual and team challenges. The instructors and Bri are always so friendly and engaging. It really makes me feel like a valued member. I love the location of CycleBar; right at the heart of midtown. It's close to R street so a lot of good eats to hit up after class. They also offer a variety of class times so it makes it so convenient to find a time that works for me. There are monthly memberships that include 4, 8, or unlimited rides. There are also daily passes for $29. There are also packages for 5 and 10 packs which are $99 and $229 respectively. I just wish the expiration to the passes had a longer time frame. Drop in passes have a 15 day expiration. The 5 pack has a 1 month expiration and the 10 pack has a 3 month expiration. I do other workouts besides just at CycleBar so I really have to plan ahead my work out schedule in order to make sure I'll be able to utilize all my passes in time.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I started going in June and have since been doing 3 days a week with my instructor Hailey. If anyone is looking for a fun time, always exciting playlists with a little something for everyone, and the most warm, welcoming, and kind instructor, then CycleBar is for you. I have always struggled to find a type of exercise that I enjoyed enough to stick with long term, but every aspect of this has got me hooked. I love my time to myself listening to fun music, petaling my heart out with the perfect amount of push and encouragement from Hailey, she truly is the motivator I have been looking for. So happy to be a part of this CycleBar family!!

If you're worried about people watching you workout and sweat, this studio will make you feel more comfortable to focus on yourself with their dark room and loud music! When I first started it was a bummer to see myself rank near last place, but after riding consistently for a few months it's really rewarding to see the growth I've made, especially after 1.5yrs of not exercising because of covid. You have the option to be on the leader board in class so there's no pressure to share your stats. I used to ride SoulCycle in college and CycleBar is the best studio in Sac that comes close to Soul's choreo/style. There's a good amount of instructors all with different genres for their playlists. I really like hip hop/rap and Joleen, Anne, and Serena usually include these songs in their rides. Luis is also really funny and motivational with his pop playlists and Britney hits! Whether you're shy or an extrovert, the staff and instructors do their best to get to know you. They put a lot of effort into making their riders feel special and to let loose with themed/costume/birthday/milestone rides. Definitely recommend this studio whether you're a beginner or advanced rider!

Front desk receptionist are friendly and provide great service. My 24 hour membership was actually declined and i found out it was because my membership was changed from Nation wide access to just regional access. The receptionist was very understanding about this and let me in the gym still. Once inside, i do gotta say the layout of the gym is a little off. not a fan of the 1st floor and 2nd floor set up. But overall I had a good chest day. The top floor has enough bench presses and weights are very organized. People there are friendly and organized. It wasn't too busy at 6am and was able to do all my sets without waiting for machines. I was very impressed with the amount of squat racks they had. Lots of open spaces to stretch and do plyometric work. Lighting is good too as they have big windows overlooking 7th street and it's cross street. My experience here was really good.

People are blasting music on portable speakers, making it very difficult to focus. When I asked the "manager" to intervene he became hostile and told me that the club was public so they don't have any policy about members blasting their own music. Public, really. So I asked, if it is public then I can film and record inside the gym. He said no they have a policy against that. See the level of incompetence. No employess are ever on the floor. The facility is gross, unclean and the equipment is old and broken down. I often see people with no shirts and not others not wearing shoes. This place is low class and unsafe. Worst gym I have ever seen. Unless you just got out of prison, you should find another club. If you did just get out, you are going to love this dump.

I called around 12pm and was told they were at lunch and would call back. I didn't get a call back, so I called again around 1:30 and was told they were still out. I waited another two hours (around 3:30pm), called back and was told they'd call me back around 4pm. Finally at 4:30pm, Jared finally called back, only to be told that the pricing we had previously discussed went from $55/month to $65/month. I understood that there was a price difference and was okay with it. Jared had quoted me what was going to be due upfront, roughly $270. I said okay and proceeded to give my credit card information and was told I was good to go. Five minutes later, I get a text from Jared stating the price mentioned did not include the two guest passes, which I had stated from the beginning to include the price. Overall, it was unprofessional to have me waiting four hours for a call just to be told the wrong price after giving my card information.

So early last year I decided to make the jump from Planet Fitness to In-Shape Fitness in Natomas.I…read morewas ok with being a member at Planet Fitness but I reached a point where the amenities it was missing and that In-Shape offered were too much to ignore-so I made the switch and joined In-Shape. In-Shape is a pretty good gym-have many amenities, many classes,a lot of new equipment that I've seen them replace older machines with, this particular location is a multiple floor building and each floor has different areas for weights both free weights and machine weights.I would also say it never feels too overly crowded unless you get very unlucky and get there at the exact perfect moment. They have a dry sauna area and a steam sauna area-I heard but can't verify there is also a woman's only dry sauna in their locker room. There is also a full sized basketball court and racquet ball courts. They also have a rock climbing wall, they have multiple swimming pools, they have 2 massage chairs which are available for members to use. They have so many cardio machines-just about all types are available, from bikes to stair climbers to treadmills and others that I'm not so sure what they are called. All that being said, what I truly wanted to talk about was my favorite feature of this gym and that is the offerings of Pilates classes they have at this gym. They offer Pilates classes on Monday and Thursday evenings as well as 2 classes on Saturday mornings, which means a member could take up to 4 hours of Pilates a week if they were so inclined. This is part of your monthly membership-it's really great-not sure many other In-Shape locations offer so many Pilates classes at this time. On a personal note I would like to highlight one of the Pilates instructors Severine, she currently teaches the Monday and Thursday evening Pilates classes and let me just say she is wonderful. As a person who never took a Pilates class,I ended up signing up for her class after the encouragement of my wife who has taken her class for quite some time.I did so reluctantly thinking that as a 52 year old man, who doesn't know a thing about Pilates,it was going to be a horrifying experience. It was anything but,and that is all due to the wonderful instructor Severine. She went out of her way to make me,along with everyone else in the class feel so welcome, always offers lots of words of encouragement and plenty of tips to make the Pilates experience a better one.Her classes are always so fun,she generally goes out of her ways to make sure she knows the name of every single person who takes her class and always has a funny story to share with the class to make sure we dont get lost in the moment. She is the sole reason I have stuck to Pilates this long and the main reason I love being a member of this gym-she is a true asset to this location. In closing,if your in the market for a new gym experience I would without hesitation give this In-Shape location a shot-I feel you won't regret it.
