From the initial free boxing lesson, you are given one-on-one feedback on form, balance, and technique. The hour long boxing lessons will have your heart rate in the intense zone, shredding the fat lump of skin you call a stomach into some Instagram worthy praise. The gym is clean, well maintained, and well ventilated. I mean, they actually have a boxing ring and host matches. Awesome. The people who attend the classes are pleasant as are the staff who work there, everyone works hard to be the best version of themselves. After the class is over, you feel like you went to battle with some of the best people on the planet. At end of the day, that's how the best friendships in life are forged. The family business vibe that kept me for 6 years was minimal. The owner (Patrick) turned into a MAGA keyboard warrior. I avoided Patrick's classes because it was 45 min of stretching and 15 min of workout. Coach Kirby's classes kept me going since my strength gains were worth it (and you don't need to take your shoes off for strength training lol). There was no point in coming here after the last certified personal trainer quit their strength program and more women gradually left. I would rather drive more to train at a different gym (more than one Muay Thai & strength gyms exist in Sacramento) than come here. I don't mind the cost as long as I am in a clean facility and the vibe is worth it. The one star here is for Coach P. - he is a good Muay Thai coach. I didn't really go to Coach Rocci's classes until last year, but the few times I did his music was the best for sparring. Pro tip: use a different personal FB account to post political content where gym members can't see them. Regardless of whether people agree/disagree with your views, there is a level of professionalism needed if you want to be a successful business owner.

Hint: there is none! Just be sure to show up 40 minutes before they close for the day! Each day is a different workout with a good variety of drills. All the trainers I've worked with here have been knowledgeable and courteous, especially when suggesting ways to improve technique. Remembering to breathe is a must. Haha. Workouts are beginner friendly and the trainers are easy to work with. I always look forward to participating in the C.H.O.W. (Challenge of the Week), which rotates weekly. While it has a great community/atmosphere, working hard to perfect your Muay Thai is #1 which I personally love. I also love that the owners are the head coaches and are on the mats instructing everyday. They are constantly instructing and guiding students in technique and strategy. Coach JR and Coach Ermias are really talented and good at what they do, if you do happen to go I'd say train with them or attend their classes. They know their stuff and are serious about their craft but willing to teach you. I only tried the wrestling once or twice but the coach for that is good as well for complete newbies. It's intimidating but not impossible you just have to try it. Definitely don't come here just to socialize like some people use the gym for. People are here to train and often shoot demo reels here. The owner trains across the world so like I said they're very focused on their fighters here. If that's what you're looking for and you have a background in fighting or want to seek it for your career I'd recommend this place, but for the average person who wants to take a boxing class it might be a little intimidating.

I re-checked their Instagram only to see that they posted just before midnight about a cancellation today. It's frustrating because I was excited to try a boxing studio so close to home. It takes motivation to even get the confidence to try a new boxing studio, let alone get there and give it a second chance. I'm not willing to give it a third chance after wasting so much time and energy. The owner needs to be more on top of things. Update the schedule online and give more notice of cancellations; not just post last-minute on Instagram.
