This is the second Cyclebar I've tried in the past two weeks, and while I have mostly enjoyed my experience here, there's a few things I think they could do better: Pros: - As with the other Cyclebar, this place is immaculately clean. From the bathrooms to the bikes and the lobby, I feel like I could almost eat off the floor. - The staff is friendly but not too pushy. - The champaign toast after the NYE class was a nice touch. - I like the music styles. Cons: - For some reason, the coaches at this location spend the first ten minutes of class telling everyone about their past day's activities and plans that day. It's a bit strange... - The volume is noticeably louder than the other location. Maybe a bit too loud (and I say that at the risk of sounding old). - I never got my cyclestats from one of my rides, which I like to see. - They don't seem to ever have Empower or Performance classes. All in all, a good spin gym, but be aware of the "cons" I listed if you think they might bother you... read more

Absolutely an amazing experience!! It was my first time here and I took Dina's class! It was Pitbull themed and was so so fun. So new and the class tired me out in the best way possible! I loved using and pushing my body and working out. Dina and the other workers were so kind and welcoming, showing me what to do, where to go, how to adjust my bike, etc. It was amazing. read more

I came here for a friend's private birthday cycle. I am not a cycler and I rarely take classes. Parking is the trickiest part of this location. I ended up parking in the neighborhood a couple blocks away (2 hours free parking). Parking close to Cyclebar is meter parking. Checking in was seamless, you just let them know your shoe size, they give you shoes, and you put your stuff away in the locker. The room is dark but more like a club setting. They turn the music up pretty loud and for the private cycle, my friend chose an explicit playlist. Great workout! Would I come back again? For my friend, yes. Voluntarily, no, as cycling take a special type of human being to enjoy it Pros: the instructors were amazing and friendly. It took both instructors to help me lock my shoes into my bike. They were patient with me as we tried to figure things out. The workout was a good one which included a weighted bar and small dumbbell weights. Cons: not in love with the parking situation The audio was a bit off during class so it was hard to understand some of the instructions. read more

Great playlist. Love that they have numbers where you can track your power RPM and gear. I appreciate the locked lockers and the cold, scented towels at the end of the workout. read more

I tried CycleBar because I had a special deal. I was going to quit after the month was over, but decided to keep my membership. From the moment you walk in your greeted by the staff. Cycling shoes and towels are provided, and after the class they provide cold scented towels. Overall I love the instructors and how they challenge each individual to give their best. I may not be able to keep up with the class sometimes, however I love how I never felt judge, yet supported. Would highly recommend CycleBar! read more

CycleBar is a part of my OnePass membership, and I have four class credits per month. I've never cycled before, either indoors or outdoors, so I was a little intimidated on my first day. Taylor greeted me, checked me in, and introduced me to my instructor, Lexi, who helped me get set up. Everyone is so kind, from the instructors to other riders; CyleBar has truly built a one of a kind community. After one month, I've been able to advance my spot on the leaderboard and increase my mileage from 5 to 7 miles. After 8 classes, I'm now up to 9 miles! I'm excited to keep pushing myself and love choosing classes based on the fun playlist themes. Can't wait for my next ride! read more

Came here for an event with GNO Sacramento and it was so lovely. I'm going to focus on the class itself as I imagine it was different because we had a private event. Our instructor Jade was awesome! A little bit of a potty mouth lol but overall really encouraging! This was a place where you can push your self and build your confidence. They turn the lights off so you don't feel like you need to compare to others and it was really great. I'm not sure if I'd go back because it's not my favorite form of exercise but I would recommend to those who like to do stationary bikes. I liked that the bathrooms were stocked with hygiene essentials. The staff was friendly and quick to help make sure you had a comfortable ride. read more

Attended a class here on a Friday afternoon with a friend. There's street parking surrounding which can be a little hard at times so try to come early do you won't be late for class. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially if it's your first time there. They honor a lot of specials and deals for first timers! read more

WOW!!! What a workout!! First time here. Didn't know what to expect and definitely didn't think it was going to be tough. Instructor was Shannon. She's awesome. Super friendly. She immediately greeted me & helped with grabbing my shoes, getting set up. Everyone is super friendly but omg this is a serious workout. I couldn't keep up but definitely give this place a try. read more

I've been going to Cyclebar off and on for 5 years now. There have been a lot of changes through out the years but my experience with Cyclebar has always been positive. The front desk staff is always helpful and informative. I truly appreciate the instructors at CB because they are truly happy to be there. They like to teach people and see their members improve over time. I know cycling can come off as intimidating but the atmosphere CB provides really allows one to build their confidence and strength over time. Highly reccomend. read more

Went to my first class this morning and all I can say is I feel pumped, energetic, and had a great start to my day. First class is free when signing up! You can also check in before your class starts on the app or in person, make sure to arrive a few minutes before class starts to pick out your shoes and tuck away any items in your assigned locker (should be the same number as the bike you chose). The bikes here are custom fitted to the shoes that are offered there as they clamp into the bike which really pushes you to keep going. The instructor I had was named Shannon, she was so welcoming to all the new people making sure we felt included and explained the process. She kept the class upbeat and encouraged us to keep doing our best. Overall I had a great workout and will definitely look into buying a package! Cant wait to come back read more

Great staff and great instructors with different styles. I have a handful of instructors I choose from that play music that gets you hyped up and dancing on the bike. I love how they call you out encouraging you to push harder, making that personal connection to motivate you. You'll definitely come out soaked in sweat. The lighting and sound system is amazing and they provide ear plugs if you need it. They provide quite a few things in the lobby, lockers, energy drinks, water, gum, wet towels after the ride, etc. The staff is very inviting. Try this studio out. It'll change your life. read more

I used to live in the Fresno area and went to the CycleBar there. I'm so used to spin classes since I lived in Arizona so CycleBar is a little different but I like the layout. This location is in midtown so it's always super busy with parking. There's some parking out in front but I usually have to park further out and pay for it but there's neighborhood parking if you don't mind the walk. It's right next to a mochi nut location so kind of hard to tell since they are doing construction outside. There's assigned lockers based on your bike, lighting and aesthetics are good inside the room and there's personal weight bars at every bike. Instructors are really nice and there's themed rides spread throughout their schedule. It's pretty pricey for their packages compared to other places so I usually wait for any promotions. read more

Had to change my review of this business. Nothing to do with the instructors but the business themselves. When signing up they do NOT explicitly explain anything about how ride credits expiring. I spent $59 a month and then did not go for a month after a death in my family and all my classes had expired. The manager texted me and I requested to cancel. The manager said I had to email to cancel (even though she texted me and replied). It took me a few days to email and by then they said I didn't give them 30 days notice (I gave them 24 days via email, 34 days via text) and they said they will charge me again next month. Overall terrible member service with management and predatory sales behaviors. Would never recommend them, you're better off getting an actual gym membership. Hope this helps people! read more

Almost at my 100th ride now! I absolutely love this location and all their staff. I've tried a handful of instructors now and they're all great. they each have their own "themes" and I love that. I love that there are mutliple classes offered throughout the day so I can easily fit it into my schedule. The provide you shoes w/ your memberships, lockers, towels during class and a wet towel after. They are also pretty accomdating when it comes to having to reschedule a class, you just have to call / communicate it with them. I highly recommend signing up for a membership! My favorite instructors are Krista, Maci and Siray! read more

Again, equipment is broke down. They don't check machines or sanitize between rides and just refill towels. The bike i got one was drenched in sweat yuck. read more

What makes CycleBar different is that the distance, power, RPM, and watts are measured during the ride. I personally love that as it gives me some accountability and makes me work even harder to beat my previous stats. On occasions, the leaderboard will be displayed during class for some individual and team challenges. The instructors and Bri are always so friendly and engaging. It really makes me feel like a valued member. I love the location of CycleBar; right at the heart of midtown. It's close to R street so a lot of good eats to hit up after class. They also offer a variety of class times so it makes it so convenient to find a time that works for me. There are monthly memberships that include 4, 8, or unlimited rides. There are also daily passes for $29. There are also packages for 5 and 10 packs which are $99 and $229 respectively. I just wish the expiration to the passes had a longer time frame. Drop in passes have a 15 day expiration. The 5 pack has a 1 month expiration and the 10 pack has a 3 month expiration. I do other workouts besides just at CycleBar so I really have to plan ahead my work out schedule in order to make sure I'll be able to utilize all my passes in time. read more

If you're worried about people watching you workout and sweat, this studio will make you feel more comfortable to focus on yourself with their dark room and loud music! When I first started it was a bummer to see myself rank near last place, but after riding consistently for a few months it's really rewarding to see the growth I've made, especially after 1.5yrs of not exercising because of covid. You have the option to be on the leader board in class so there's no pressure to share your stats. I used to ride SoulCycle in college and CycleBar is the best studio in Sac that comes close to Soul's choreo/style. There's a good amount of instructors all with different genres for their playlists. I really like hip hop/rap and Joleen, Anne, and Serena usually include these songs in their rides. Luis is also really funny and motivational with his pop playlists and Britney hits! Whether you're shy or an extrovert, the staff and instructors do their best to get to know you. They put a lot of effort into making their riders feel special and to let loose with themed/costume/birthday/milestone rides. Definitely recommend this studio whether you're a beginner or advanced rider! read more

If you're looking for an absolutely vibrant, energetic, upbeat and CYCLE-Dellic workout studio, look no further. I introduce to you: CYCLEBAR MIDTOWN! A place where you not only will come to workout and will be guaranteed to break a sweat, you're also welcomed by a community of people who are so kind, compassionate, and encouraging! I've spent over 200 hours of my time in the last year (since their opening in June 2020), at CYCLEBAR Midtown, and it's not just because I'm guaranteed a fun and challenging workout, it's also because it's an amazing place to socialize and meet new friends! The schedule of rides is very versatile in my opinion-classes are all 45 minutes and start from 5:30am to 7pm at night. The instructors are inspiring, kind, friendly, and always encouraging. They take great precautions for COVID by doing a studio deep clean between every class, and require masking in the lobby before entering the cycle theater. Your first ride is often always free, and if you're nervous about it for any reason-just walk in and the CBX front desk staff will explain everything to you and prepare you for your first ride! Just be prepared to be addicted after your first ride! Lastly, all you need to really bring is a pair of socks, water bottle, and any thing else you might need to feel comfortable. CYCLEBAR covers you with the free shoe rentals (BONUS! All the other studios charge $5 at least per ride), free towels, and some of the best free water station refills in all of Sacramento! (I'm not kidding, the water is also really delish!) Good luck on your first ride! Tell them Kirstee sent you! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I started going in June and have since been doing 3 days a week with my instructor Hailey. If anyone is looking for a fun time, always exciting playlists with a little something for everyone, and the most warm, welcoming, and kind instructor, then CycleBar is for you. I have always struggled to find a type of exercise that I enjoyed enough to stick with long term, but every aspect of this has got me hooked. I love my time to myself listening to fun music, petaling my heart out with the perfect amount of push and encouragement from Hailey, she truly is the motivator I have been looking for. Update 8/11/20: Just wrapped my first evening ride with Joleen! Love, love, love! If you haven't taken her class or if you're thinking about trying CycleBar, her class is a must! 8/9/20: Because my gym is closed, I needed to find a place that would give me motivation to work out. I have been slippin' extra hard lately because the lack of motivation and personally, it's really hard to work out alone. I have always wanted to try CycleBar, but felt their classes were overly priced. I received a promotional email where they were offering 5 classes for only $79. I ended up buying 2 sets of packages which has a 1 month expiration date, with a total of 10 classes (about $16/class). I didn't know what to expect upon walking into my first class, thanks to COVID - everything is outdoor. I actually like CycleBar's set up, where they have the bikes, on the second floor parking garage with enough space in between and it's in the shade. My first class was with Cassie, she is awesome and full of energy! Cassie's music is a great mixture of Hip-hop and mainstream pop. My second class was with Morgan? She's cool too - her class was a TSwift Mash-up. You don't need cycle shoes to attend, they provide/rent out shoes for the bikes which is a perk included with your membership. The bikes are easy to use and the best thing about the class is it's only 45 minutes and towards the end they use the weighted bars (4lbs/6lbs) to work the upper body. So much fun. I just wish they offered more class options in the afternoon (5pmish) or early in the morning, say 5am/7am). read more

Wow!!! What a start to my weekend!! I can't lie, I'm a bit nervous about group exercise at the moment, but I work at a barre studio so I've kinda had to put that aside. If you're nervous about Covid here are some of the things cycle bar did that made me feel as comfortable as can be right now. -Temp checked at the door - masks going in - used shoe rentals and towels go into bins for cleaning at the end -all staff wearing masks -the place felt really fresh with that smell of recently disinfected There was lots of parking nearby, both free and metered! I actually parked further away than I needed to! The workout had great energy, I left feeling really pumped for my day. It's definitely worth noting shoe rentals are free! They also have some super cute merch for sale! Pricing is very competitive with downtown sac, booking is super easy with their online app, you can even check yourself into class! Also I always like to note when a place has people (staff and members) of all sizes/shapes and origins! As someone who was previously very overweight I used to get anxious going to new group classes thinking everybody there would be in perfect shape and I'd be the sloth in the corner! There was a great mix here! I'd imagine anybody would feel comfortable! read more

Now I understand why my wife spends so much of her time at CycleBar. I was given the opportunity to experience a CycleBar class, and it's safe to say that it's an experience like no other. While I have taken other Cycle classes at numerous corporate gyms and other spin studios the thing that separates CycleBar from the rest is the overall vibe. The vibe not only from the instructor, but also from their members is strong and there's something about the energy that makes the class enjoyable. The music they play is everything, when it comes to the classes. The sound system in the studio bumps and really gets you in a mood. They offer 45 minute classes that also incorporates a weighted section for arms. I'm here to say that these cycle classes are not just for women, Fellas - you guys can come take classes too! Great cardio that I would highly recommend. read more

I am a CycleBar addict and I wanted to provide a fairly detailed review on what to expect during covid times and non-covid times. Shoes: You don't need your own shoes, you can rent them for free by simply asking the Cyclestar for your size! Yes even during COVID. Setting up your bike: For a first timer if you're going alone, I would definitely recommend asking the instructor or one of the CB employees who is there to help you set up your bike. They will leap at the opportunity if they haven't come up to you already. Don't be afraid of this step. They will even put your feet into the clips for you. You will be ready for your ride at the start of class! Picking a bike: While classes are outdoors, bikes are open seating no matter what bike you "pick" on the app. But when class is inside, you do reserve your bike in advance. A MASK IS REQUIRED during COVID times until you're clipped into your bike and then you can #maskoff What the ride is like: Standard ride is 45 minutes. You ride to the beat of the music and the instructors always shout out what the beat is so don't worry if you have no rhythm. Each bike has a screen and if they say, "find 60" or "find "75" they are referring to the number on your screen. It's fairly simple. Even if you want to ride to the beat of your own drum, you can! No one cares because everyone is in their own zone. Just watch what the instructor and other people are doing and give yourself a few rides to find your groove. Parking garage/outdoor ride during COVID: Still so much fun even though you aren't in a studio with the lights and loud speakers, I go about 4 times a week. They still have the music and fans and if you're lucky, you might even get to ride with the beautiful delta breeze at night if you do a night ride. Instructors: I love all of the instructors! They all have a unique style. I say ride with all of them to get a sense of their different music tastes and you'll pick up on things that you like about each of them. What to bring to outdoor rides: Towel, Full water bottle, mask Message from my heart: I have been working from home since March and I don't get out much these days now that bars and restaurants operate differently. Friends of mine have moved away and I just don't see people as often as I did before COVID. Going to Cyclebar has been my savior during these sad and often lonely times. This is a place that I can go and have fun, exercise and be around people even for just 45 mins. It's such a great place and I just couldn't recommend it enough. read more

I absolutely love this studio! Staff is welcoming, equipment is nice and clean, class times are varied and catered towards working people, and I haven't found a better way to get 45 minutes of cardio in any other way! Siray is the lead instructor here and her classes are the absolute best (think hip hop, RnB, Bay Area vibes) because of her music taste, encouragement throughout, and approach to spin. She makes spin accessible and fun and is the reason I have stayed with this studio! I've also enjoyed classes from Alex (more EDM style music), Macy, and Krista. Overall, the combo of loud music, dark classroom with club lights, and encouraging instructors makes for an awesome workout. Highly recommend! read more
