I stopped in as a new rider researching gear before test riding and buying a motorcycle. They are primarily a Harley shop but have a couple other items. I was trying on jackets, and asked if they carried Tall sizes, figuring they did not but it would be worth asking. The employees helping me said to take the armor out of the jacket to give a couple extra inches, everyone does it anyway because it is uncomfortable. Telling a clearly new rider to take armor out of their safety gear is irresponsible and is not serving them well. I was only shopping for gear, not a bike, but unless you want Harley branded items, skip Cycle Stop. They had three jackets, total, one helmet (HJC CL-17) in a variety of graphics, no gloves that provided any measure of safety, and no boots or pants at all (again talking non-Harley here). I probably won't be back in. read more

Looking to buy a used bike. This dealer is not far from me. They had the exact one I wanted. Salesman (Joe) told me he would have it ready the next day for a test ride. He had to throw battery in and get the fluids ready and all that. Never called me! My friend also went there before for an african twin and they never called him either. Bad business. They were getting a lot of bad reviews as cycle stop. Maybe that's why they changed their name to roc on. Same clowns , different name. Well, they lost my business. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! One of their managers, Jim, told me to kiss his ass! I came in for my first time to buy luggage bags and a rain cover for an upcoming trip. I was welcomed and even given a discount after spending over $400. The Ogio saddle bags that my salesman, Steve, put on my bike fit very oddly. When I said something looked funny about the way they fit, I was assured that I had nothing to worry about, even after I asked if I should buy supports for the bags, I was told there would be no need. Fast forward to the end of my trip... one of the saddle bags started to melt over my exhaust pipe. They didn't fit! Like I suspected. And now I had a hole in one of my bags and a mess was made on my exhaust pipe that still exists. When I called into cycle stop to report the failure to Steve, I was told nothing could be done. I told him that I wanted a refund for the bag and that I would buy a new pair through them for full price and take care of the mess on my exhaust myself. Apparently that was too much to ask. I called back yet again to speak with a manager, Jim, who asked me to bring the bags in and I'd hear back from them. I went and dropped them off and after 3 weeks of me having to call them, was finally told there was nothing they could do. Upon my response, where I made it clear they should try to do more for me, I was interrupted countless times and told "how business works." I hung up the phone, and got a call back from Jim moments later telling me to work with him. When I said I didn't want to be interrupted he told me i could "kiss his ass." Thanks cycle stop. The Service Dept at this place ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! I called then six times in the last week to get my Harley out there after a deer accident... The one guy who did pick up the phone basically said "we're busy, but we'll call you back"..... Nothing.... I called the Arkport Harley dealer and they picked up on the first ring. I bought a bike from cycle stop a few weeks ago. Everything was ok on the test ride, however, when I went to trade my bike in, the salesman missed something on the bike; so he screwed me on the warranty for the new bike. Upon bringing out the new bike, he takes about 15 minutes or so, when I question him about it, he said it was the choke, okay, no problem. About a week after riding the new bike, I started noticing a high speed wobble, come to find out, all but three spokes were loose on the rear wheel. I would think the techs would be checking this stuff over... Needless to say, I will never set foot in cycle stop again, and I am contemplating calling the better business bureau. read more

I have had several different cycle services done at this establishment and I simply will not do business with them anymore. You get a mixed bag of customer service at this place. They seemed to do ok work but some of the staff simply are just not friendly and that unfortunately does make for good business practice. There are several other options in the area that are more customer service oriented and I would stongly recommend you look elsewhere. read more

This place is amazing. Poor sales staff, horrible service staff, incompetent service technicians and a philosophy that the customer can just go pound sand. I took , my Kawasaki in for service last fall and it took them over four weeks to "fix" the very minor issue. Three weeks later the same problem occurred (they never solved the problem the first time). I took it back this year and they made another attempt to correct the problem. This time it took them SEVEN weeks to fix it. I had to call every week to get the status of my bike and was told different stories on what the new theory was. When I got the bike back I asked if they could do anything for me such as an oil change or anything since they had the bike for SEVEN weeks and really pissed me off. I was told I was ridiculus to suggest that. I guess if you own a Harley, this place could fix it since they are in the shop a lot anyway, if you own a metric head to Hollink. read more

Today, I worked from home so I could be here to sign papers for the tow truck that was supposed to pick up my bike at 10 AM. I called at 11 AM after there was no tow truck. The first lady who answered noted that there were some problems with the tow truck, and she would see how they were coming along. She then transferred me to Mike at the service department, who unapologetically told me that the tow guy wasn't in today. The appointment was made days in advance. When I asked him when he was planning on letting me know that I was working from home for no reason and wasn't going to be getting my bike in the shop, he said it "must have been one of those things that slipped through the cracks." No apology. If I had to take the entire day off for this, I'd have been SOL. Only reason they get 2 stars is because they've done an inspection for me in the past and the tech that did it was friendly and professional. The service desk, on the other hand, F-. I've always heard from other friends who ride that this shop is awful, and now I see why. read more

I stopped in today to test ride and buy a new bike. When I got in the store, no one greeted me. There were two other groups of customers who, likewise, were not greeted or attended to in anyway. I walked around for a solid 10 minutes, sitting on the three bikes I was considering buying (R6, ZX6R and Street Triple R). There was the gaggle of ladies working the accessories department. They sat around talking, and made no effort to locate a salesman or even say hello. There was a salesman, sitting and talking with someone (I assumed a customer). I tried to make eye contact and, seeing that he wasn't making it back, assumed he was busy with a sale. Then there was another guy sitting at a desk. I went up to the guy at the desk eventually and asked if he was a salesman. He said no, and then used the PA to ask for a salesman to come to the floor. Turns out the guy who I saw talking was in fact a salesman, but he was talking to his friend/coworker about Harleys. The salesman, a short man named Chris in his mid 30s said "who's looking for a salesman? This guy? This guy here?" repeating it over and over in a curt, disrespectful way, as if I was not standing right in front of him. I told Chris I was interested in three different bikes, and would like to test ride them, at least around the parking lot, to see how I felt about the ergos of each. He said they do not allow test rides of sports bikes, which is valid (though I told him many places do). I asked "what about Triumphs?" but he told me none of them had batteries. Then I asked (even though not interested) if I could test ride a Harley. I asked because there is literally a sign that says "test ride a Harley today" next to the Harleys. He said no. At this point it was apparent he just didn't want me to test ride anything and thought I was some kid and it wasn't even worth his time to introduce himself to me. It was rude, and poor salesmanship. But more so it was perplexing to me why someone would throw a commission out. I'm 30 years old, dressed well enough, and drove to the dealership in a relatively new luxury sports car. Not that it should matter, but to anyone with a modicum of intelligence, it should have been readily apparent that I wasn't there to waste anyone's time and had the financial means to buy whatever I wanted, that day. I'm going to be buying a new bike this summer, and I'm going to be buying new in the 12-13k price range. This guy literally just threw out a 12k sale for the company he works for, along with the commission he would have received. I've read a lot of bad reviews about cycle stop, and I feel they are likely all true. If this is how they treat prospective customers, imagine how they'll treat you when they have your money. I honestly have no idea how they've stayed in business. As a comparison, last bike I bought 3 years ago was from Bob Weaver in Buffalo. I didn't get a great deal, and the salesman who took over mid sale was kind of bratty, but I get a card from them with coupons every year, and a call from Bob himself during which he followed up on an obscure torque spec question I had. I've also met his son this summer. When I walked in, he immediately greeted me and was more than ready to show me any bikes I was curious about and look up answers to questions. I didn't even know it was his son until he gave me his card at the end and I put two and two together. Now that's how you do business and that's how you keep customers. They scratched my bike, have overcharged, and claimed to do work they obviously didn't do!! If I could give it negative stars I would. One star is one star too many, this isn't a bash to send business to another motor cycle business, choose who you will. The customer service in the service department is absolutely horrendous. Established a deliver date and time with them and they no show saying unforeseen meetings. I'm fairly new to the scene. Started riding again 3 years ago after stopping over 10 years ago. Bought a bike private, rode that for 1 year then wanted to trade up for a Harley. Ended up there because I finally found a bike in my price range. Money down. As requested by them, I gave them 5 days notice before I wanna pick it up. We set a pick up time and was asked to be there 1 hour before for paperwork. I also picked out the extras to be installed before hand that was promised would be installed. 3.5 hrs later I left. Nothing was installed. My credit was no problem and paperwork should not have been more than 30 mins. They didn't even pull my bike out from storage in those 5 days. When they brought me back, the bike was disgusting it wasn't even washed. And the parts were just being put on. Then within 2 weeks of owning it had 1 major electrical issue and 1 mechanical. Ended I was told that Harley told them "you will fix his bike" after they said it's not covered but was. Then I had a leak. They said it would never"around" $800 to fix. Went to a buddies private bike shop. Hey how about that...he finds that 2 out of 3 chambers were over filled and 1 under filled. They never even checked the fluids when they took it on trade. The primary case actually had to be flushed because it was like cake batter. The girls that work the retail end of things are absolutely fabulous. The parts guy is incredible and very knowledgable. But their sales and especially their service (over a year ago. New service manager since) are beyond horrible. Go to Stan's or Harv's. If I had the money is open my own Harley store so it's closer for the Rochester area. read more

what a joke of a service department call to ask how long the turn around time to do a tire change(off the bike) his stock answer was 3 days max all i wanted to know was if i dropped the tire of Wednesday when it would be ready 3 days max again was all he said. it was like i was bothering him. must be nice to have enough customers to treat people like shit. bought 3 bikes from there in the last 4 years granite he dosent know that but i do think the only thing he knew was 3 days max obviously he is still in grade school or he has a very basic script. how you have a customer base is beyond me really should look at the people you hire and how they treat your customer base but then again i guess this is the mentality of people read more

Brought in my sons jap 4 wheeler which wasn't working in January 2014 so over a year ago and my son still doesn't have it back. I called every month to check on it and was finally told it was free after putting a $200 deposit down and told it was ready for pick up and no other costs were due. After I got there I was told it wasn't ready and it was gonna cost me $150 to get it. Now it still not fixed after about 15 months of them having it and not able to fix it. Yes I was told it was hard to get to parts but seriously a year????? They communicate like my ex wife! They say they will call you back but never do. They told me I didn't owe anything but now I do. And the 4 wheeler cost me about $500 to buy brand new. After all this I could have purchased another and my son could have been riding all along. Please don't bring your bike etc here look elsewhere all reviews on this 34 year old company are mostly negative that should tell you something. Good luck and wish me luck! read more

My first time dealing with they're service department and definitely my last! After waiting a week for them to look at my bike, they tell me I have to wait another 2 weeks just for them to fix. Now I originally scheduled a carb clean and inspection. They were quick to tell me issue with carb, but never did the inspection until I showed up to get the bike. The guy they have at the service desk seems to be all over the place and never relays the messages. I asked them did they do the inspection when they called with the diagnosis on the carb. After waiting the 2 weeks I bring my bike back to have the work done I miraculously don't have a air filter in there. They offered to order the filter brackets , which would have been another week. I had them hold off to see if the previous owner knows why it's no air filter , I never got an answer. Cool, so I call the service department to have them order it , he immediately says he'll call me back. This was at 9 o'clock when they opened. It's now 12 pm and I'm calling them back cause now at this point I missed their ordering time. Not to mention it was Friday , so now it would have been ordered on Monday. With all that being said I had no choice but to get my bike and take it elsewhere. Not to take anything from Aaron the technician he was awesome, but their service desk has to get it together. Oh yea btw the service manager was rude with the comment she made "Let him take , if something gets in his engine oh well that's on him". What a great way to address a paying customers issue. But with the service I had, if something was to get in my engine I would rather pay someone else to fix than to have to deal with that. It's sad that with all the other options as far as motorcycle shops I chose you guys and that's how you treat your customers. read more

Was interested in buying a new bike. I walked in, took my time and walked around the whole show room checking out bikes. Was never greeted by staff, not even acknowledge that I was even there. A couple of associates looked at me but never made an attempt to assist me with anything. They were to busy talking and laughing with their fellow employees.This happened to me once before at this place but blew it off as just a bad day but after this second time I'll never be back. My experience with Cycle Stop was poor, and my experience with their service manager (Laura) was even worse. Had to purchase my own back tire cause they didn't have one in stock. While changing the tire they said the brake rear pads needed replacing which I agreed to. When I got the bike back I trailered it to my house. The following Monday I drove the bike to work and my rear brake was ceasing up and wearing through my newly purchased pads. This can happen when you replace pads without properly cleaning the pistons, or testing the bike once the repair was made. I asked for them to provide me a new set of pads and I was going to have the rear caliper replaced by a different shop. Laura said no-way verbally, and never responded to my written correspondence. Initially she told me the tire would be done at the end of the day, but ended up not even being looked at for a full week! Never shopping there again ... feeling abused. Read the other poor customer service comments. The parts guy and service worker were good people, but they should find a classier organization to be part of. read more

I have purchased two brand new motorcycles,had countless inspections done and in general spent a lot of money at the Cycle Stop. After picking up my brand new 2017 bike from getting serviced I noticed that the bolt holding the seat on was missing, along with another minor issue on how the bike was put back together, I called the shop to notify them and because it was near closing time was told to return the next day. Upon returning, the shop argued with me that the bolt was certainly present at the time I picked it up and that it must have fallen off on my 3 mile ride home. Instead of just giving me the $5 part and pleasing the customer they fought with me threatening to look up surveillance footage to prove that the bolt was there... After making it known that it was not an omission of guilt and that they were not taking responsibility they reluctantly gave me the hardware after over an hour of disputing. At no point in time was any apology offered up for the inconvenience. Word to the wise LOOK OVER YOUR BIKE AFTER BEING SERVICED BEFORE LEAVING. I hope Cycle Stop thought that bickering with me was worth losing a customer read more

IF YOU LIKE WHEN PEOPLE SEEM BOTHERED OR IRRITATED WHEN YOU ASK SOMETHING OF THEM THIS IS YOUR PLACE! solid 2 poor experiences with the parts department. First time I went in, was just looking for some good synthetic oil and filter for my break in oil change on my Kawasaki. Guy at counter was helping somebody, whom walked away to look at product on the shelf. Took it upon myself to ask a quick question about oil type. He replies with "I will answer that when I'm done with this guy." The guy didn't come back to the counter for another few minutes. He could have answered my simple question while he was sitting at the computer waiting on the gentlemen. Needless to say I waited 20 minutes, 2nd in line. and walked out still not assisted. By the way both guys at counter assisting one customer. 2nd visit I came in looking for three screws for motorcycle. . They did not stock them. No big deal I said, can we order them? He seemed irritated that I wanted to order them. Huffing and puffing he went to his computer to look them up he could not find them.(also I had identical matching screws in hand to match up to). I even showed him on schematic where they mount, but the particular page did not show part number. He says "I'll tell you what...The parts wouldn't get ordered til next week and, I'm here by myself, so why don't you go online, look them up and order them yourself from ____ website!" What?! I came in here looking for them to provide that service. This is what people need them for! Mind you there was one other person in line behind me. He had plenty of time. This is 2nd time walking out. Wouldn't recommend this poor excuse of a business to anybody. What a joke! read more

Went in there to get a set of grips for an XR1200. They were 91.00. I inquired with "Cal" how much they would charge to put them on and his exact words were "If anything, maybe 20 bucks". I make an appointment and make child care arrangements to bring it in. When I get there, there's a woman at the service center, Lauren or Laura or something. THE most unpleasant woman EVER. I learned she is the owners daughter later on. She then say's "Uh no, it's at least half an hour of labor (at 82.00). I tell her that I was already quoted a price but she say's "sorry he was wrong, that's what we charge". She could have cared less and I told her I was going to return them, if perhaps she could split the difference with me. Again, nope. So I got my money back and went 300 yards down the road to Cortese Cycles. They charged me 60.00 for the grips and 20 bucks to put them on. They said to me "you are not the only one who comes out of there with those types of experiences". I'll never set foot there again. I ride with a club and we buy a lot of bikes. I'll spread the word to take our business to Cortese. read more

From the very first time I started looking to purchase a new Harley I have always considered the sales people at Cycle Stop an aloof group of people. I've just always found them hard to deal with. The reputation on the street is that they don't deal on price and prefer the RUBs (rich urban bikers) who will pay list and brag about it. Hence, when I purchased my two Harleys, I went to a friendlier Harley dealer slightly further away to buy my bikes. Over the last 15 years or so I've gone to Cycle Stop for parts and some minor service. But today, after receiving two e-mails announcing a BIG new and used motorcycle sales event for Sept 4 and 5, I decided to stop at Cycle Stop to see what was being offered. Upon entering around 3pm I was greeted by a salesperson asking if he could help me. I asked about the selection of bikes being offered at the sales event. While fixing his lunch of rice and vegetables and sitting down at his desk, he said he had no idea about any sales event and proceeded to eat. He made no effort to find out what the BIG sales event was nor in assisting me in any way. I decided to wander around the show room and the only person who was interested in helping me was a woman at the Harley Motor clothes desk. Several other motorcycle sales persons walked right by me making no effort to engage. Certainly quite different that one would expect. I never did see the BIG sales event. I guess the whole situation of such nonchalance by the salespeople totally uninterested in, oh I don't know, perhaps selling me a new bike, making money for the company or even making a commission irked me enough to write this review. So there ya go. If you are interested in purchasing a Harley go someplace else. I purchased my two Harleys and custom accessories from Stan's Harley in Batavia and many of my replacement items like oil and batteries at Harv's Harley in Macedon, which is a bit closer. Both places have interested sales people, will deal on price and have great service. read more
