Terrible work place. They hire through the worst temp agency I've ever dealt with, which didn't garnish my check for child support once and complained about who had to deal with it. Not only that magnum has mandatory overtime for months in a row. And the cherry on top I was promised to be put on magnums payroll after 2 months of work, I called in 1 day and they used that as an excuse to not hire me directly while praising my efforts the entire time. I needed a cable set for my 2000 Fatboy when I was installing my 16" ape hangers. The problem was, I wanted a 90 degree fitting at the brake master cylinder. All of the cable sets I looked at had 35 degree, or straight fittings at the brake master cylinder. I called Maria at Magnum Shielding and she said they could install any fitting I wanted on the 15-17" Sterling Chromite kit. So I had them make up the custom kit, no extra charge, and they work great. Maria was awesome to deal with. Always answered my questions, didn't get annoyed with repeated calls during the process. Great product. Even better customer service. I lost the cable securing pin as soon as I took it out of the package. Searched my shop on my hands and knees for hours. I called the company and was connected to a very nice woman who was happy to help me. Sent extra parts in a timely manner and free of charge. Absolutely do NOT order from these people especially their handlebar install kits. A kit that should only be +4 inches for 12"-14" bars is +8 and absolutely does not fit. The clutch cable is so long it rubs on the back of the front fender and the brake lines and throttle cables hang up on everything because they can't be properly secured. When I called they told me that's how they sell them and even though they don't fit the specified bars at all they won't do anything to make it right. The lady I talked to went far enough to even be personally insulting. Even my local Harley dealership said they were way to long for the application. My first and last experience with them. Stay away, the quality of the cable wasn't even worth the money to start with. read more

I was severely overcharged on shipping. After complaining, it was discovered that Magnum's website had the wrong numbers inputted for shipping. Their customer service manager Maria even said that I should of been charged $17, not $45. I showed her on the website where it says $45. Similar products in size and weight have drastically lower shipping weights. Made zero sense and they refuse to do anything about it even though other poor reviews for this company have said that Magnum did refund them. read more

I purchased a Black Pearl handlebar installation kit from Magnum and the fit was very good. All the cables brake lines and wiring was included. I ordered online, very easy and the kit was shipped quickly. Shipping was reasonable. Maybe they have fixed the website checkout. Overall a good experience and a great product read more

Let me start by saying this company sets the bench mark for customer service very high. I placed an order with them for cables for my motorcycle. I received a phone call from Maria, the customer service representative within five minutes. She questioned me about my order and the bike I was refitting. She was very courteous and informed me that I had not ordered the complete set, and that without the addition middle line I would be unable to complete my task. I was skeptical, but ordered the additional cable. Maria handled the re-order and billing and even though she was at the end of her day stayed and completed my order and emailed me the new shipping info. When I did the re-work I discovered she was correct and that had she not called me to help me I would have had a major issue. Additionally I discovered a cable ordered did not fit my motorcycle correctly. I emailed Maria, and she responded on the same day with instructions how to return the item. The cables are outstanding quality, and I am very impressed. I will suggest these cables, and this company to all. These are the worst cables ever. Do yourself a favor and get either Barnett or Harley cables that have a thick jacket. The jacket on my clutch cable from magnum came apart from underneath the ferrule after the first ride. When I complained to Maria in customer service she said I installed incorrectly. I am so glad that my Harley dealer is taking this junk back and swapping for diamond black genuine Harley cables. I love my bike and would never put junk on my bike to save a dollar. read more
