My less than 240-mile-on speedometer KLX 300 needed a front tire tube changed, called Cycle Gear and was told it was the price of the tube plus $15. I usually install my own tube, but for $15 dollars I'll drop it off this time. At the store I was asked if I'd like the regular tube at $15 or the heavy duty for $30. Since the work was $15 I decided to splurge and get the heavy duty. The sales person let me know there may be an additional $3.00 for a rim lock. Alright, up to $48 for a tube change by now, but whatever. They also let me know my wheel may not be ready until the next day. That evening I get a call from an employee letting me know I needed a rim lock and it would be $11. Alright, whatever. I'm now in it for $56. When I picked up the tire at the store the next morning... it was $100.20! They added charges they did not tell me about (rotation at some outrageous amount). A hundred bucks to change a tube. They did adequate work on the tire... I mean it is just a tube change. Get the spoons, stick-on weights, and a short rod you'll need to do your own future tube changes and use the $75-$80 bucks you'll save to get some new gear. Otherwise, make sure you ask for disclosure of total price up front. read more

Had a great experience here due completely to the outstanding work of an associate named Benjamin. Even though he was the only one on the floor at the time and the store was busy, he took the time and made sure I was completely helped while managing the other customers as best possible. Normally, I don't go for these type of chain feeling motorcycle gear shops and honestly had been avoiding this one even though I live nearby. After many years, I was due for a new helmet. I could not believe the huge selection that was available at the store. The staff was very knowledgeable friendly, and walked me through the process of buying a new helmet. Great customer service and items at a fair price. I had the best experience at Cycle Gear. As soon as my husband and I walked into the store, we were greeted and asked if we needed any help. I was looking for a new helmet because the helmet I had was causing my head to hurt. Nick was super helpful in helping me find the perfect helmet for me. He was very helpful to my husband also in finding the problem he was having with his helmet and now the hubby is a happy rider. The customer service here is on point and they really do have your best interest and safety in mind. Absolutely taken back with the my experience here and the lack of customer service. I've spent close to $3000 since March of this years through cycle gear,JP, and RevZilla and with little problems but Cycle Gear on Broadway is just down right shady. They sold me a M size Sedici Helmet and said that it would break in over time, well it hasn't and is very uncomfortable for me, giving me migraines when I wear it. I also purchased a Cardo headset from them for the helmet that I don't even use, so right now I have a $600 paper weight, not cool Cycle Gear. Instead of offering to make it right, which I'm willing to spend more money on a nice helmet they told me I was stuck with it and the best they could do is a slight discount on a new helmet, give me a break. I will be returning the headset and no longer shopping here. Your staff is not very sure of the things they are explaining to customers, manager was to busy to even here my story just told the salesman that she couldn't do anything, not even an attempt was made. I've gone in several times in the last few weeks to browse, shop and return an online order. Each time the staff there has been fantastic. Very helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Tyler and Nick are the names I interacted with the most if I recall correctly - very cool dudes. I only wish this store, being the only one in Tucson, was a bit bigger and in a better location. But perhaps that's just personal preference. Either way, great shop and staff! read more

This staff at Cycle Gear are very helpful. They got us all decked out when we got our first motor cycle a few months back and spent quite a bit of time with us making sure everything was a good fit. What's especially nice is their return policy. If things don't work out for you, they will take them back and get you in better suited gear. Their ladies selection is a bit sparse, but my husband has no trouble finding a variety of different styles of gear there. Not only do they have a large selection of clothing, but oils, and other maintenance accessories in the back of the sore. read more

Just bring whatever back, see if you can exchange it for something else, if that is not something you like, get a full refund! No hassle, no big deal, and very friendly. I have been buying things in here for a few years and have always appreciated the fact that there was a convenient MC shop when I'm in need of parts for my fleet of worn out dirt bikes. I have not always been thrilled with the service from the guys at the counter but lately my opinion has changed for the better. My go to place. Nick and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable about the products they sell and always point me in the right direction. Staff take time to speak with me, provide excellent customer service answering questions I have and help educate me. They assist with making sure I purchase the correct sizes (helmet, gloves and the rest of the gear). If they do not have it in the store they will look online to order the product and have it shipped directly to my house. If I get something and later realize that it's not the right size I am able to go back and exchange or return the product. When I shop at Cycle Gear I feel that I'm getting the best deal on my equipment and that I have the right products to make me be as safe as possible when riding. read more

Meh. Place is a McDonald's feel of "buy our inhouse made in china brand!" which I am not a fan of. That said, they do carry a lot of name brands, but be prepared to pay through the teeth for it. I am not a fan of having to give my name/address etc just to buy a can of chain lube, just ring me up, and let me pay you. I miss when some previous managers were there, they had a super fun, upbeat atmosphere. Until the place gets that feel back, they will continue to be the, "Shit, it's friday night, and XXXX just ran out, and a shop I'd like to support is closed" type of place for me. read more

The service here is great. I came here for a bike night which they always throw every first Thursday of the month. Before then I also came here to pick up a new rear tire for my motorcycle after getting a flat. They instantly took my tire in, exchanged the tire on the rim, balanced and put ride on in my tire all within an hour and I was able to go home and install the tired back on my bike. The only problem is they won't mount the tire on your bike but will mount it on the rim. Overall this is a good place to check out for parts, gears and helmets. The staff here are super friendly and always willing to help out and ask questions. They are a bit pricey so if you're looking for a cheaper deal I would recommend shopping around. read more

Given the fact that they're open 7 days a week, have motorcycle specific parking out front, are located very central within Tucson, and generally have most everything possible in stock, Cyclegear is a real savior on a Sunday when you're doing some bike maintenance and not out riding! read more

Needed some new body armor for my jacket (no one in town had) called CG they said they'd call me back with price and availability, got a call back in 10 mins, gave the go ahead, 3 days later had the gear waiting for me at the store. Pricey, but amazing with returns. I bought a pair of saddle bags, lost the receipt, destroyed the bags, and brought them back for a full refund. Pretty amazing. Also, even if they don't have what you need, the staff are helpful about pointing you in the right direction. read more
