Every now and then you can find a spa that checks all the boxes. Indigo is it!! I'm new to the area…read moreand did my research before settling on a spa that offered nails and massage services - it's not often that I get time to myself, so I wanted to make sure it was a one stop shop. Turns out, they offer so much that I can't see myself ever having to search again. To top it all off, Carolina and her team are so welcoming and friendly at each visit that I also found new friends. It's always nice when you enjoy the conversation as well as the services. Mani/pedi: I've had both Carolina and Teresa. Both girls are amazing and pay so much attention to detail. I have terrible cuticles and they were quick to offer a scrub solution and thorough shaping of nails and cuticles before perfectly applying the polish. They even have some cool color changing gel polishes that are a fun bonus. Massage: Lauren is phenomenal. She listens to where you hold your stress and goes to work on those areas with precision. Both massages have left me feeling like a completely new person. I've had many massages in my life, but few have fully carried me into the next week still feeling the knots worked out. And this is just after a few visits! I can't imagine how I'll feel after a few months. Overall: Indigo is a hidden gem in Summerport - I'm actually nervous to write a review because I want to keep it to myself! It's obvious that the spa is much more than a job to anyone who works there. The membership is steal too - $99 for a mani/pedi and a massage or $149 for a mani/pedi, massage and facial. Check it out!

I booked the Allora Signature package and spent the entire day relaxing and enjoying every service. Next time in town, I will definitely book another Allora spa day. The only change that would have made my experience better is if I did not have to leave the room. Between services, you exit the room and sit in a chair located in a small hallway until the next service. It would've been better and more relaxing, as the client, to stay in the room for all services. Understandably, the spa is small and they do their best to ensure comfort despite the necessary merry go round. This is NOT a deterrent from returning by any means but it did catch me off guard. Gratuity is added and given to an each team member. My appointment was scheduled over the phone which allowed me to customize a service included in the package. A deposit is required at booking and the remaining balance after appointment.

I booked the Allora Signature package 5 hours of services at over $600 and left feeling like I'd…read morepaid premium prices for a below-average experience. It started at check-in. They ask you to arrive 20 minutes early, but there's no reason to: no tour, no walkthrough of the services, no robe, no changing room offered, no one even pointed out the restroom. I was handed a drink and told to "go down the hall, take a right" to the tea room. No escort at a supposed luxury spa. My 90-minute massage started 5 minutes late and ended 13 minutes early. I paid for 90 minutes and received 72. Back in the tea room, another guest's child was playing in the candy, the fountain, and the drinking water while I waited another 10 minutes past my scheduled time. The facial was not the anti-aging facial described just basic rubbing and dermaplaning, delivered after I could hear staff gossiping in the lobby. The "hand and foot treatment" was a dry rub with exfoliation gloves before strapping on lotion-filled gloves and booties. The scalp massage was so perfunctory I asked the technician to stop and end the service early. It felt like they were padding out the clock to make up for time shaved off everything else. Think Massage Envy at triple+ the price. If you're considering the top-tier package here, don't. There is nothing signature or luxury about it.

The staff here are friendly and attentive. When you check in for appointments, they ensure to ask if you'd want the technician to wear a mask or not. Walk ins are also taken. They offer a variety of massages. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Hot Stone, Trigger Point, Prenatal, Himalayan Salt Stone, Decompression Therapy a d Couples. My go to is the Deep Tissue. As far as the facials, they also offer a variety of facials. Detox, Anti-aging, Teen, Rejuvenation, Sensitive Skin, Rosacea Lactic Peel, Glycolic, Led Skin Phototherapy Treatment, Microdermabrasion, Dermal-infusion, Mens and Classical. I spend most all my time with getting a massage. I have gotten the Mens facial and it was just as relaxing as a massage. Skin was feeling pretty pretty pretty good afterwards. Aside from massages and facials, Hand and Stone offer other treatments. Cryoskin body trimming and toning, Facial Toning, and Hair Removal. After you check in, your technician gets you walks you to the room. They'll discuss the session with you. It's sort of your time to ask questions about the massage. Or the tech might ask you a question. For example, the tech might ask, "Any place in particular you'd want the session to be focused on" Once all is gone over and discussed, you'll be give the time to dress down. Lay face down on table. The Door knocks... the relaxing begins. 5 mins later lol, you're done. I say 5 mins because it's never enough. It's just that enjoyable. I love Hand and Stone. It's my paradise in the city.

I had a massage once and did not have a good experience, there was too much pressure for my back and really did not enjoy it. However, I enjoy the facials so much that my husband and I joined and get one once a month. They have a nice waiting room with smooth tranquil running water. It starts the peaceful experience out. You can reserve the same technicians if they are available which if you book ahead of time you can get the same person. After your technician gets you, they go over your plan with you what they will do and if there is anything you want to order. For the facials, they have you change and lay on a nice warm heated table. They clean your face and then whichever facial you chose. I really enjoy the CBD facial, it calms your skin and makes your face look so smooth and fresh. I have had many different technicians' and I have loved every single one of them. I would highly recommend giving them a try. I cant really speak for the massages, as I only had one and did not enjoy it, but my husband does them monthly and absolutely loves them. But I can recommend the facials!

I asked for the basic pedicure and when I walked out, they put me with a happy feet pedicure, and when I pointed to the girl at the front desk, who I apparently is the owner's sister, she saw that I pointed to the basic pedicure all of a sudden they were doing all this other stuff, and I couldn't understand what was going on, but I was thinking well no she saw me point exactly to the basic one for $45 when I went to check out clearly it was $60 and then I was there for almost 3 hours which was pretty ridiculous. I mean I don't know how much time somebody wants to spend in a nail salon like that. Especially when they asked for a shorter service to be done and at the end they gave you a different service than when you asked for and a different tech. The place is filthy. If you look over by the sink where you wash your hands I'm surprised the board of Health has not shut this place down yet. Not to mention when I checked out if my pedicure was $60 and my nails were $50 I then had to tip the guy that did the massage and she was trying to tell me, the owner's sister that I needed to give him $30 and that I also need to give the nail tech $30 but when you think about that 20% is $22 for the pedicure and nails, I ended up giving way more than necessary in today's day and age, especially when I had a crappy experience and the place was filthy. So strange that I even had to walk out unhappy, but you can't argue with these kind of people they don't care as you can see my one fingernail is all distorted in the shape and then another fingernail has a big glob bubble on the tip and there's small bubbles on all the rest of my nails. The UV machine was hardly hot. Everything looked like it was about 10 years old. The reason why they have that back area so darkness so you can't see all the filth in that place. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last nail salon on earth. No wonder why was so dead on a Saturday their prices are ridiculous and the place needs to be Condemned And shut down by the board of Health their sink and trashcan was so gross. I had to stare at that the whole time I was getting my nails done. I thought I was gonna throw up. I wanted to run out of there and couldn't wait to get out as soon as possible I tipped so much because I just wanted to go and leave. . I'm sure there's roaches everywhere. Pretty disgusting! 1
