On short notice, the owner, Danielle scheduled an experienced massage therapist whose 'work' was far beyond a simple relaxing massage; I am grateful for her expertise. The nail tech was meticulous (and not skimpy with the gel)...my short, short nails are now absolutely perfect. If you live at Azul, there's no need to go anywhere else! Unfortunately, the person who cut my hair did not do it properly and the situation made me feel worse when he basically chose to tell me I'm wrong. To start things off, I'll say the place is very nice and reminds me of a coffee shop. People are very nice and will even give you complimentary refreshments. Parking can be a little difficult since it's in Ivanhoe area. For my haircut, all I needed was a trim. The agreement was just maintaining most of the length and let the hair have some flow and texture towards the top. The guy even ran his hands through my hair to follow the direction it grows in. Next thing I know, he's combining my hair in the opposite direction and cutting. At first I thought it was some technique I'd never seen before. But turns out he fully intended for my hair to go in that direction. At the end, I asked why he cut my hair that way if originally he was even moving my hair in the proper direction. His response was that my hair wants to grow in the direction he cut. I chose not to argue since it had already been done and at that point I didn't trust him to fix it anyways. However, I do know he's wrong. My hair naturally falls in the direction seen in my picture as it dries. Now it has a weird shape on the sides with no life at the top. I'm sure these people are well trained, however I had a bad experience and will not be returning.

I swore I would never get it done again. Fast forward 5 years and here we are. Let's be clear, there is NOTHING enjoyable ever about getting a Brazilian wax... after speaking to my friend I reluctantly made an appointment with Crystal for my sugaring Brazilian. Her studio is meticulously clean and organized, she greeted me with a friendly smile and after giving me the 101 on sugaring and asking a few questions on my history we got to it. First she prepared the area that would be waxed, then she started applying the "sugaring" I was pleasantly surprised at how much less painful it was (it still hurts) but compared to getting it done with wax it's about 50% less painful. When she applies the "sugar" you can feel the hairs going the opposite direction and I would say that's the most uncomfortable portion, she removes the hair and immediately after applies pressure, there is no stinging or swelling like I experienced with wax. She is a speed waxer and worked with smaller patches at a time while allowing time for me to breath in and out to help with my nerves. She kept me engaged with great conversation and at times I didn't even knew she had done the waxing until after as she would say, "you are doing great" "great job" Crystal is a true profesional and I look forward to my next wax with her. Be on the lookout for people that say they do sugaring, there are only 3 ppl in orlando that are actually certified and from what I have encountered experience makes a world of difference.
