I injured my knee in september 2024 on a Leg Press machine at the gym. Went to an Orthopedic Dr, did MRI and was told my Meniscus was torn I needed surgery. Surgery date was 26 Nov 2024. I was informed by the Orthopedic Dr the day before scheduled surgery that my insurance was not going to cover it. The next day Dr Elyse's office calls to check on my wife who is a patient of hers. Told them my story and I made an appointment with Dr Elyse. She educated me on PRP treatment and I subsequently had treatments with NP Giselle in Dec 2024 and 03 Jan 2025. I can only tell you from not knowing anything about PRP to knowing this worked for me big time. Giselle was great, professional, and listened to the patient. Another big factor in my recovery was Edison who did the Shock-Wave treatments to the knee. He knew how hit the right points.T It shocked the heck out of me how this stuff really works! Amazing!!!! Dr. Elyse is truly a life saver. Several years ago after a really bad fall injuring my arm shoulder and neck, I went to see many orthopedic specialists, other chiropractors and various alternative practitioners none of whom were able to ease my horrible shoulder pain. My pain radiated up into my skull, and down to my fingertips. I would wake up in the middle of the night with migraines. A massage therapist suggested I see Dr. Elyse at Lakota Wellness. I had all but lost the use of my right arm. After the first visit, relief was immediate. After a number of treatments, the pain had subsided to the point where I barely remembered I ever had the pain. Fast forward seven years... As a child I became familiar with regular visits to a Chiropractor and reflexologist. I was struggling for a year with on and off neck pain. Finally it got so bad that I decided to come here. I was referred by a friend who brings her whole family here. I brought myself and my 15 yr old. We both got a full check up from muscle testing to adjustments the zyto scan and the footbath.
