I use to be a patient and had moved across country. Was back in town it's only been a year and half since visiting last here. I'm a self pay due to out of state insurance coverage. All of this was confirmed on the phone while booking appointment. When I arrived the rate went from $55 to double stating bc of 1.5 year lapse. I would have to restart treatment with an initial first appointment. This could have been addressed over the phone. I get regular adjustments at home but my hip was bothering while on holiday so I called. It's over purpose not money, but I'm not going to be hosed for an adjustment. I consider in my opinion this was a money grab seeing it came out of left field. I chose to leave and not seek treatment. I went to the national group I use in my home state 40min later and was seen with no additional costs than what I would have paid here. I would hope going forward the reception does a better job explaining than just booking appointments. read more

I suffered from lower back pain and carpal tunnel on both wrists. Before going to a chiropractor, my wrists and fingers would hurt almost every day. I have been going to Orlando Chiropractic for almost 3 months now and I have seen improvements on my carpal tunnel and I rarely suffer from lower back pain. At first they suggest to come over 2-3 times a week and depending on how your body reacts to the treatment you decide if you want to come over once a week, every two weeks or even once a month. Scheduling appointments 2-3 times a week might seem overwhelming but it makes a big difference versus making occasional visits. Dr. Darren and Dr. Torina are very helpful and welcoming plus their staff is super friendly and always willing to accommodate last minute appointment changes. For those who are going for the first time, it might be painful and you might be sore but it just gets better from there. I was in an accident way back in March and this location was recommended by my attorney. In the beginning I was going twice a week for adjustments and an hr massage and @ first the regular on staff girl that does the massage therapy wasn't working due to COVID so I had a part time fill in and she was without a doubt one of the best I've ever had in my life work my back for close to 25 years. Her techniques were incredibly affective in easing pressure off my spine and my neck. But unfortunately she disappeared one week and I never had the opportunity to see where she went to but the original therapist showed back up after a few months and I started with her and she does a good job as well but with totally different techniques. Dr Darren is prob the best one there out of the three that does the actual adjustments though. The other 2 really don't go into detail with your symptoms and it's usually always a 5 minute adjustment with them. Dr Darren will make sure ( I think ) that u are happy with your visit though. My only issue with the location is exactly that the location. It's 23 miles each way for me so scheduling it with my work schedule isn't easy. Overall it's a good place for adjustments. As for pricing it's not cheap. Even though I'm not paying out of pocket I go over all the invoices from the attorney and it does seem to be that it's very pricy for what u get. I know on several occasions they had billed almost $600 and I had only been there for an adjustment ( 15 min tops ) and a massage. New to the area and searching for someone, I appreciated that the Orlando Chiropractic website allowed me to hear Dr. Hollander speaking and see him in action. I was having awful back pain daily for a while, and my good friend suggested I go check out her chiropractor. I came here in January for pain under my left arm and rib. I couldn't take a breath in without being in excruciating pain. They didn't want to do X-rays because they didnt think it was necessary and they believe in adjusting every single area of the body on every single individual instead of doing a more specific approach on each patient. The doc decided to adjust my left shoulder and it was intense, for a few seconds I felt scared and within a few hours I had a whole new pain in the shoulder blade area. They told me it's just soreness. So I went for a few more office visits and after the 4th adjustment I was in excruciating pain that night. I stopped going to them and was hoping this pain would stop. But it didn't. I could no longer sit and stand. I had to lay down often. I couldn't stretch, I couldn't exercise, my left side would spasm or throb or have electrical shocks. An MRI showed that a joint in my shoulder was damaged, there was bursitis and lots of inflammation throughout the rest of the muscles. I've been suffering for 8 months and seeing all sorts of specialists doing testing and lab work and physical therapy and neuromuscular therapy, so much recovery methods to fix the mess that this place caused me. The staff is kind and I appreciate that but their method needs to be re-evaluated to prevent future injuries to other patients. Not a place that I would recommend. read more

Dr. Darren is AMAZING! Honestly, he's some kind of a magician. I've had daily neck pain for over 8 years. I've been to many other other chiropractors, massage therapists, and holistic practitioners... and none were able to help the pain go away. I went to Dr. Friedman office a few months ago, and he said that my condition it is due to my own body is not work related. Then, I found out that he does that to a lot of people cause he wants to save money to the insurance company, not to mention that recently I read the medical record that he did for me and found out that some of the information it is twisted and he skipped some information from other doctors visits.. I came here because of the awesome reviews on yelp. Unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. Dr Darrin is a nice enough guy but very pushy about getting you in for adjustments as often as possible (starting w/3-4X wk). I have been to many chiros for multiple issues and find that I do better if I am adjusted 1-3X per month. Anything more creates a chronic pain cascade that immobilizes me as well as hyper mobility in my spine that causes it go out all the time. He insisted it was not enough and reminded me and chastised me each time I came in for not coming in more. However I have to give him credit for his lower back adjustments which are amazing but mid back and neck adjustments frequently left me in more pain or sometimes did nothing. It became too stressful to go in and have to explain why I haven't been in (felt fine, out of town, etc) like a truant child. If I don't want an adjustment it really is up to me, right? read more
