My father has been a resident since January 17 after he took ill and Assisted Living…read more We initially did not choose Hunters Creek nursing and rehab but when it came time to move him from the hospital, the other facility had no beds available. I happen to see Hunters Creek's building from across the parking lot of my father's Assisted Living and quickly called for a tour. The first voice I heard was that of Diana, who is the receptionist at the front of the nursing home. It was her cheerful and sweet voice that made me smile and feel comfortable With the possibility of him staying there for rehab. Rosie, Michelle, Jacqueline, Trish, Ann, Jessi, and Diamond are all the team players In the business offices. You will never find more compassionate and dedicated individuals. There is nothing they will not do to help you with your loved one if they stay here. I know them each by name because of the individualized services they provide and the contact that they pride themselves on. I'm deeply grateful for this team of healthcare administrators. The nursing staff, Including certified nursing assistants, and the facility cleaning/ Maintenance team, Are some of the most dedicated staff you will come upon. As I visit my father daily, I'm always quick with a hello and a smile to each, and every one of them, knowing what they do throughout the day to care for the patients. The people we are closest to, thanks to their incredible level of care for my father, are Ariana, Anetide, Elaine, Javaline (Sp?) and so many more! All of the nurses/CNA are at the top of their professional game and I am grateful! I love the nursing team so much That I always leave a basket of snacks and goodies in my father's room for them to grab and know that they are appreciated. It is the very least I can do for what they take on each and every day. The Nutrition team works hand-in-hand with families to make sure that patients get the food that not only is most nutritious but find favorites to include on their trays each day. My father lived on grilled cheese when he first arrived because that was his comfort food. He could ask for it at any time of day and one would be delivered to him. David, The nutrition manager, Called me personally to get information on my father and his favorites that might be included each day. Something is simple as cornflakes on a breakfast tray makes my father, so happy and encourages him to eat. I'm so grateful to this team for seeing to my father's dietary needs. Finally, If your loved one is here for rehab Count yourself lucky. The rehab team is Encouraging, Kind, Compassionate, Skilled, And Lovely human beings. I am eternally grateful to this team ( Ren, David, and Jeffrey we see most often) who have to deal with my sweet but grumpy Father on a daily basis. Their humor and constant encouragement, have helped him regain some of his strength after a lengthy illness. The support team to the rehab team also need to be recognized for their attention to detail on paperwork and knowledgeable alternatives when Patients need a little extra help. I can't recommend Hunters Creek nursing home enough for any long-term care or rehab needs. While not absolutely perfect, No company is, They do excel in the areas that are most important. Thank you to everyone At the Hunters Creek, nursing and rehab for making my father's life comfortable In this new chapter. I am grateful Beyond words for each and everyone of you.

They made a friend stay in their bed for a week when there was nothing wrong with them. They could walk fine but after staaying in the bed for a week they were so weak they needed a walker to walk. Instead of making the patient stronger they made them weaker. They have very little care about the health of the patients.

Her room was clean. There was no odor in her room even though she had a diaper on. She speaks no English and there were many Spanish speaking staff, which is a plus. Can't really say more based on this visit as I did not observe anyone engaged in physical therapy. There was some odor when passing certain rooms but as anyone knows who has visited a nursing home, that is inevitable. When someone is incontinent, staff can change a diaper and 5 minutes later the resident can pee or poop and until that diaper is changed again, there will be an odor. Rating is based on overall appearance of cleanliness, Spanish speaking staff and food which seemed eatable (the person I visited ate her lunch).

In my opinion, the quality of care depended greatly on the shift. The morning shift had many caring and professional employees, while the second shift was extremely disappointing. The third shift was generally good. Unfortunately, the administration was ineffective, especially the administrator, who stated she has worked there for over 20 years. Despite multiple complaints, I never received meaningful answers or follow-up. They frequently performed medical tests, but I was never informed of the results. The food served at the facility was also of very poor quality. During my stay, I experienced three very serious incidents: 1. Food Contamination A staff member brought me my meal, took a bite of my food, and then placed the remaining food back onto my plate. This was completely unacceptable and unsanitary. I reported the incident, but no action was ever taken. 2. Poor Nursing Care and Missing Medication A staff member named Carlos, who identified himself as a nurse, showed no compassion while caring for me. He removed my bandages roughly and caused unnecessary pain. In addition, my insulin went missing while I was under the facility's care. My family had to contact the police, and to this day, the administration has never informed me of the outcome of their investigation. 3. Medication Error I have a documented allergy to penicillin. Despite this, I was given antibiotics containing penicillin, which caused a serious allergic reaction. I am currently hospitalized as a result. In addition, the treatment of my leg wound was extremely poor, and I was discharged while my leg still had a significant infection with pus. Because of these events, my case has been referred to attorneys for a medical negligence claim. In addition, Telemundo is preparing a report regarding the lack of proper supervision in rehabilitation centers. My recommendation to anyone considering this facility is to be extremely cautious and report any concerns to the appropriate authorities. It is unfortunate that the actions of a few poorly trained or careless employees damage the reputation of many hardworking and compassionate nurses. The greatest problem, in my opinion, is the lack of supervision and accountability. Complaints are ignored, and necessary corrective actions are not taken. Please be very careful when choosing a rehabilitation center. The quality of care can have a direct impact on your health and safety.

I would never go here and promptly canceled our appointments after this experience…read more A $50 deposit requirement was never communicated at the time of booking, despite scheduling the appointment over a week ago. Then, we suddenly received a text stating we had one day to make a deposit payment before the appointment. What makes this worse is that the office staff could not provide anything in writing when asked. First, we were told this policy had always existed for all new patients, then later told it was "new." The inconsistency and lack of professionalism were concerning. Their website has an entire page dedicated to new patients, and nowhere does it mention a $50 deposit requirement. It does, however, state they can perform insurance checks ahead of appointments to confirm coverage, which makes the lack of transparency around this unnecessary and poorly communicated deposit even more frustrating. When asked to run the insurance check, I was told they could do it up to 48 hours before the appointment, but we would still each be required to pay the deposit regardless. Policies involving deposits and financial obligations should be communicated clearly at or before booking, not sprung on patients at the last minute with no written acknowledgment or agreement. We never even made it to the office because this situation completely destroyed confidence in the practice. Put it in writing or don't do it. This is not about the money; it's about proper business practices, transparency, and communication.
