I hate to give this place 2 stars but jeeeez! I have been to this location now twice. The first time I came i got a pedicure with the longest massage possible and the guy doing it was extremely rushed and very light on the hands, I felt like he was barely touching me. Now today, 1/26/24 I just wanted a pedicure which was the "Healthy Feet" the girl doing it once again with the leg and foot massage, it felt like she wasn't even touching me and just wanted to be done and we haven't even started yet. I'm not sure why the employees at this location feels rushed. I'll keep going to the MC Spa in Dr. Phillips. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

I absolutely love MC! The vibes are always so relaxed, everyone is very friendly, they always offer water or coffee, and they have a ton of colors to choose from. Lisa and Yoseline are some of my favorite techs. I have never waited long when I didn't have an appointment, but it's also easy to make a same day appointment. Highly recommend the Happy Feet pedicure - but wear a cami or loose top and put your hair up because they give you a real shoulder and back massage with that one! Have only done the pedicure experience a few times, but I must say it is unmatched! Just had a hour massage with the masseuse, Eric he was probably the most nicest person I've ever talked to. He is very skilled and educated. He was explaining to me of law while I was having certain issues in areas I had a pain in my side due to muscle tenderness for about five months and for the first time in five months, it does not hurt to take a deep breath in because of him, putting certain pressure and helping me stretch it out. The massage in the beginning was unexpected and really nice. But then when I sat down, the chair itself didn't have a massage aspect which I almost would have preferred over the random massage at the beginning. One of my favorite parts of a pedicure is the constant massage on back while I'm getting my feet pampered. It also seemed like the whole massaging and pampering of the feet was actually really short and rushed. The color was pretty and came out nice. But I didn't feel like the lady really wanted to be doing my nails. Not worth it for the price I paid. read more

I always get the Happy Feet Pedicure, it includes a shoulder massage and a foot massage and your pedicure. I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience! It's always clean and always nice staff. I would highly suggest to go during the week and have an appointment. It's usually very busy on the weekends. Receptionist was very accommodating. I arrived to the incorrect location and the accommodated. My friend and I had Happy Feet service. My friend had gel we were not told extra $20 prior to service until after services was done. My friend asked the technician several time to fix her nail. There was nail polish around her toes. She also asked her to fix her ingrown. Seem like she wasn't familiar. This was the worst pedicure she had received. Lauren on the other hand attentive and great massages but pedicure was lacking as well. I realized she didn't tend to ingrown also found nail polish on my toes as well. Took my mom, SIL, and sister in for mani pedis to celebrate her birthday. Service was super slow. At each turn my mom was made to wait, an excessive amount of time, before her service. Our gel applications are full of hills and valleys, the glitter gel polish is completely see through and spotty, and I had to ask for a wooden tool to separate my skin from my nails. They were completely fused together by the polish. When all of this was brought to the "OWNERS" attention her response was - Sorry. We're sorry too. We're sorry we chose this establishment to kick off a day of celebration. AND a full fare was applied to our bill AND the cashier asked if we wanted to leave a tip. Skip this place! I stopped by this evening to purchase a gift card for a friend. She loves this place, which I can't understand why as I took my business elsewhere about 7 years ago. Before I drove over, I checked the hours online - open til 8pm - perfect! I showed up at 7:15pm as the manager was opening the door to tell me that they are closed. The hours on the door also stated open until 8pm and I pointed that out to her. She said bc of Covid they had to close early. I told her I just wanted to purchase a gift card and she refused and set the alarm. I am all for supporting small businesses during this pandemic but when they do nothing to help themselves, I really can't feel bad if they cannot stay afloat. If you've ever had a bad experience here, which is highly likely, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. You guys :( I used to LOVE this place. I went to get my wedding nails done and I had a great (but very long) experience getting my nails done. My nail tech lady was super nice, even offered a slight discount for me. She kept saying over and over again she just wanted to make me look beautiful for my wedding. It was very sweet. I don't typically get my eyebrows waxed (usually get them threaded) but I decided to get them waxed as I wanted to save some time.... I wish I could turn back time and never decide that. I was the last person of the night so I'm truly not sure if it was because the wax had been sitting all day or what happened but my nail tech DID NOT run a test strip and ended up absolutely BURNING off a layer of my skin on an area of my eye lid that is not near my brows. I am not even sure why she would go that low. My wedding was a few days after this and I was left with horrible scars. I will truly never return and will ensure everyone hears about this experience. read more

I love coming here to get my manicure and pedicures. The staff are always so friendly, helpful, and most importantly skilled at what they do. I usually get SNS done for my manicure which is the powder dip. They usually last for two weeks for me before I should get them done again. I highly recommend getting your pedicures done here because the staff provide a quick back and neck massage for you then they massage your feet and legs. Allow me to preface this by saying I used to swear by this salon before they upgraded everything. It was a hidden gem of a sanctuary salon that I knew when the word got out, things would change, and boy did they. They still offer packages that give you a nice little 15 minute shoulder massage, but the whole room feels impersonal now than it did before. It was reminiscent of what I can relate to a Thai spa I once visited. I returned about two weeks ago on a Saturday and made reservations for my bridesmaid and I well in advance before my wedding the next day. The shop was very busy as it was also the same weekend as homecoming for a nearby high school. Some positive points are they offered me a water, (but no one offered anything for my bestie:( They are sanitary. Now, however, Even with a reservation and letting them know it was getting married, I was incredibly rushed.. I had a gel manicure done and noticed at the end that a couple of my nails had incomplete polish. I'm incredibly shy and resisted saying anything but thought, 'hey self! You're getting married! If you're not happy, say something!' And I did. The nail tech gathered her things to fix it and after inspecting it tried to reassure me it was fine. I hesitated and said, ok, I just feel like the top coat didn't cover the nail properly. She again said 'no, it's fine'. At this point I had already paid and tipped quite well but left unhappy. A week after the wedding, it was already coming off and we hadn't even left for the honeymoon yet. I wanted so bad to be happy with the changes at the salon but I may not be going back again. Ammar is a blessing. I went in for my monthly massage. He's an all around wonderful massage therapist. He takes time to make sure my health issues are addressed and makes sure I'm responding to therapy to improve my overall health, especially with my history of migraines and cervical degenerative discs. His attention to detail and remembering how I was doing previously and making sure he helps me to his fullest capacity helps me be a better person, mind, body and soul. I've truly had great pain relief and relaxation with our sessions. I get deep tissue sessions and they've helped a lot. Ammar has a very thoughtful personality and caring heart. i like the massage at the beginning but they changed ladies for the service and from the beginning i felt like the lady was being too rough, i noticeably moved a lot and you could see my reaction to the pain. she cut my nails way too short causing pain and one bled. then she scrubbed my feet so hard it didn't even tickle (as it always does) it just burned like my skin was being shaved down. I didn't say anything as she noticed and apologized, but then continued to be rough. Thinking it was weird my mom was still getting her feet cleaned up when mine were painted, I said something about needing a deep clean. when i left my mother was still getting her nails cleaned when i went outside to examine mine. not only were they way too short, the black polish was not clean it was all over my nails, there was so much dead skin left and overall just looked like i painted them myself. i also believe that the only reason this happened is because i am much younger looking and i was perceived as naïve and unaware of what services i should be getting for my money but i actually have worked at a nail salon so nope. if you want to pay for a massage and a color come here but if you want your nails actually cleaned and manicured go somewhere else they "fixed" them but the only difference is it doesn't look like a toddler painted them anymore read more

After seeing many negative reviews for MC Spa, I had decided against booking an appointment there. Unfortunately, I could not avoid the experience as my best friend had reserved dates for us as a special treat for her sister's bachelorette party. There was four of us scheduled for pedicures, manicures, and waxing. Upon entering the spa, the decor was lovely, and I loved the waterfall bridge leading to the pedicure area. We all checked in at the front desk and were greeted by the receptionists. I decided on getting the 'Happy Feet Pedicure' (25 minutes massage), and an acrylic full set manicure. As I told them what I had wanted, Julie (the manager I assume?) kept trying to sell me on upgrading my pedicure to the 'Signature Pedicure' (50 minutes massage) because I would get more massage time and full callus treatment. I declined and said that I needed to be done at the same time as the rest of my friends because we had other reservations for later that day. Still, she insisted that I choose a pedicure option with more massage because she "got a little stuck" with the appointments. There wouldn't be enough massage therapists available to help us right then. Okay? My friend had called two weeks in advance to book the arrangements so it was strange that they wouldn't have allotted the time to see us all. The rest of my group opted for the 'Healthy Feet' (15 minutes massage - no callus treatment) pedicure and a mini-manicure that would take less time than my services. I said, "Fine." and that I'd wait for my massage therapist to come while my friends started their pedicures. We were seated, and my friends began their massages. After about 10 minutes of waiting, my back began to get sore from sitting up straight with no support, so I turned facing forward to sit down in the chair. I'm waiting for maybe five more minutes before I have David finally start my massage. Let me say that he has a very firm grip. I prefer deep tissue massages, but his technique was bizarre. It's like he was shaking, hitting and twisting me as opposed to kneading or massaging my muscles. His hands were dry, and he used minimal lotion to make his hands glide more smoothly across my skin. When I tried to tell him I was uncomfortable, he just laughed and nodded because he wasn't fluent in English to understand me. My friends had already begun their nails so I just kept quiet and hoped my actual pedicure would be a better experience. The other receptionist came to place my feet back into the pedicure tub and ask me if I wanted any water, coffee, or tea. She assured me that my manicurist would be right with me. Sometime later, my manicurist, Theresa, came. They must've been especially short-staff that afternoon because Theresa had also done my friend's pedicure a short while ago. She did an exceptional job although she got scissor happy with her cuticle nipper and nail clippers on my toes nicking me a bit. My friends were done with their pedicures at this point and starting their manicures. I was getting acrylic, which could only be done upfront at the nail bar as the pedicure station was too dark. Our group sat upfront at the nail bar to watch me get my nails done. After waiting for a manicurist even longer, I hear that Mary could do my nails. She has her desk at the front of the salon near the check-in counter so all my friends couldn't sit with me. The receptionist managed to pull up one of the small chairs, so at least my best friend could sit next to me while the remaining two girls stayed at the nail bar to watch tv. Right away, Mary seemed annoyed that she had to do my manicure as if she had somewhere else to be. She kept trying to sell me on doing a Dip Powder manicure instead. I told her multiple times no because I didn't think it was sanitary or long-lasting. They dip your nails into a jar of powder colour that every other patron uses. No way to sanitize the product! Finally, she gave me a full acrylic set as I asked. She took a little over an hour to complete my manicure. I was not at *all* satisfied with Mary's work. My cuticles are dry, and the shape of my nails is cartoonish, bulky, and uneven. One of the acrylics broke off three days after! When we went to check out at the front desk I told Julie about the poor service and all she did was look at my hands and say it looks okay to her -- paid $90 for a shotty job and terrible customer service. It's a gel powder where your nails are painted with a liquid and dipped into the powder. Sounds weird but the color lasts 2 full weeks, even longer than gel! And from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and giving all the options to chose from . We chose the pedi ( $45.00 and starts with a back and shoulder massage ) while your feed are being soaked in hot water. ( they ask you how you like the water temperature, which mine had to be adjusted and it was great ) , glad I asked ! Very comfortable and relaxing . Afterwards you'll be turned around for a neck head and face massage, followed by a food and leg massage; and finished with the pedicure color of your choice. I have been coming here for years. Since their opening day. I like the Happy Feet. On 1/9 Massage was a little less worth mentioning than usual. Much less on back and neck than usual. My appointment was for 4. It is 5:20 and no one is here to do my feet yet. I'm so disappointed, and leaving. I usually love this place. I will give it another try. I know times are tough. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have never experienced a company that is okay with losing 3 customers (a total of $160) and with such an unpleasant attitude. Here's what happened. We called to make an appt and the receptionist that answered the phone stated that they had openings all day no problem so she scheduled us at 3 for 3 pedis. We come in and I stated that one of my toe nails were completely chipped and I would need an acrylic repair for that toe. With a look of disgust she looked and me and stated "Acrylicc?!" Like if she was disgusted by me asking for acrylic on my toe. She then went ahead with saying that I should've called and advised that I wanted acrylic on my toe because they don't do that there. (With a rude attitude) Then I said well there no point in me doing my pedí with a broke nail and she would not give me a solution so we said okay well we're going to just leave then and she said laughingly "okay bye" HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. Holy Mother of God. . . . I walked in thinking I was going to Magic Nails. . .but that's not what happened. I was transported basically. A small bridge, water fountains and a volcano like scene with changing colors, is all designed to relax and ease the mind, transporting you to a different state. A back massage. Not a back rub, but a real back massage that is included with the pedicure. My masseuse is an LMT and informed me that the spa also offers massages as well. What this business offers is spa treatment at nail salon prices. All I could keep thinking was, "everyone gets this with a pedicure?" Beyond. This is the word that I use to describe this place. You just have to go and experience it yourself. . .it truly is a different concept that I'm sure many will appreciate. It's definitely my new home for manicures and pedicures for sure.
