I had the best customer service today while picking up my photos. Bailey was at the register, he was extremely helpful & friendly. CVS did something right when they hired him. Where to even start? First let me say, the staff is nice and they act like they are trying. But when you are sick the last thing you want to deal with is a headache with picking up prescriptions. I am not exaggerating but EVERY SINGLE TIME my husband and or I have came to pick up a prescription here there is issue.... EVERY SINGLE TIME. They didn't receive the fax (have to get on phone with doctors office now, they say they did send the fax) this happens over and over whether it's urgent care or my family doctor sent it. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday with asthma issues and acute pneumonia. 28 hours later and I still can't pick up my prescription because of a billing issue with my insurance. Just hung up with them on the phone at home, literally crawled out of bed (remember I am sick as a dog) drive down here to wait in line.... GUESS WHAT!?! I wanted to return something but didn't have the receipt, the item was $17.89 that I paid full price when I had bought it. The cashier was only going to give me $9.99 back, I explained that I bought the item for $17.89 regular price, she called up the manager Patty and Patty told me since I didn't have a receipt the item automatically gives me the last sale price. So I lost $8 dollars since they are cheap and only give people the sale prices on returns. BS! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service from any retail establishment anywhere - ever. My goal when picking up my prescriptions at this store is to try to get out of this place without them proving to me, once again, how bad they are! The pharmacy at this store has NEVER been properly staffed (even before COVID). Although a speed other than SLOW might be helpful for at least one person "working" at the pharmacy! And it is extremely rare to find anyone working there who isn't rude. Customer service??? LOL!!! There isn't anyone working at this store that even understands the concept of customer service. They ARE usually successful in exhibiting some form of customer disservice every time I am in this store. The COVID shot experience for my wife and I was by far the worst of the 3 places we have been for shots. They were late for our appointment - and for no other reason than the employee who was supposed to be giving the shots was late to work! She then rushed us through the process and gave me my shot incorrectly - which caused bruising and pain that I did not experience at any of the other locations I received shots. So basically there was unprofessionalism, incompetence and rudeness all in one CVS employee. (Actually very typical.) Good luck trying to reach anyone by phone. A typical phone experience would be to be on hold for 15+ minutes and then be HUNG UP ON! You will NEVER reach anyone at this pharmacy via phone in less than 15 minutes. And forget about purchasing ANYTHING other than prescriptions at any CVS. I mean you could, but why would anyone pay CVS prices when you can buy EVERYTHING in that store for considerably less almost anywhere else. Their "sale" prices are usually about 20-50% higher than what you would find on-line for the exact same product. About the only place where non-pharmacy items might cost the same or more would be another CVS - or maybe Walgreens or Rite Aide! I have been trying for years to get them to coordinate my prescriptions so that I only have to come into the store once per 90 days. To no avail... How about having the prescription ready when you say it will be ready. How about having your customers NOT wait in line 15+ minutes to pick up a prescription. Or maybe hire sufficient staff so that customers don't have to wait in line EVERY TIME they are picking up a prescription. I really don't need to be reminded how terrible the healthcare system in this country is EVERY TIME I GO TO THE PHARMACY! I pay BIG $ every month for this terrible service. And the worst thing is... This seems to be getting worse over the past 6 months - not better! The people being hired aren't being trained properly. And I have seen any new employee who has any customer service skills at all! On Monday May 4, 2020 I dropped off 4 prescriptions at around noon the clerk came to the drive thru window and I told him to let the pharmacist know that the doctor has checked off do not substitute box. The reason I had told him that is for the last 3 months the pharmacist had filled it wrong. For the last 3 months I have had to make a extra trip back to the pharmacy, simply because the pharmacist can't read the prescription correctly. I thought that if I told the clerk, he would tell the pharmacist and indeed the clerk said he would do that. Two years ago I stopped using this CVS because of their continuous errors, however my wife wanted to stay with CVS due to her numerous prescriptions and because she had been with them so long. We called at around 2pm to make sure the prescriptions were correct and ready, they said yes. At 3pm I went to pick up the prescriptions, for some reason it took the clerk a long time to find the prescriptions and when he finally came to the window I asked him to check to make sure the prescription in question was filled correctly. WHAT A SURPRISE it was filled wrong for the 4TH STRAIGHT MONTH. To make matters worse the clerk then came back to the window and said that prescription would cost $263.00 I said last month I paid $30.00 for that same prescription, the clerk looked it up at my request and he said that yes last month I paid $30.00. He said if I want the prescription it would cost $263.00, I said I'll pay $30.00 for that prescription and you can let me be on my way. The pharmacist came over and seemed upset and slammed the paper against the window and said IT'S $263.00, I told him both you and I know its $30.00 and that's what I'll pay. He said for me to come inside the store so we can get this straight, now normally I would do that but I had enough of this pharmacist inconveniencing me so I said no. I told him that if you would have simply looked at the prescription all of this would have been corrected already and that I will sit here until you get it straight. He got mad and said he was calling the police, I told him he could do what he wanted, but that it would be better served to call Blue Shield and get this fixed. About 10 minutes have passed and I said to the clerk to just give me the 3 prescriptions that are ready and I'll let these people get their prescriptions. For some reason they just stood there and did not give me my prescriptions. I now know why, that pharmacist wanted to show me who's boss as 10 mins passed then the police showed up. It seems CVS wasn't concerned with their customers in line behind me they just wanted to show me who's boss. I have never in all my years had the police called on me and the last time I can remember getting a parking ticket was probably 20 years ago. Let me sum this up for you the pharmacist made mistake after mistake and when I called him on it CVS called the police instead helping a long time customer. So once again I made another trip to CVS and by the way that prescription was $30.00 not $263.00 which they already knew. When I picked up the prescription, that same pharmacist came to the window and gave me my prescriptions and didn't say anything to me. I am so appalled at what happened that I called the CVS complaint hotline, they did apologized but didn't seem overly concerned about the incident, in fact the person I talked to seemed happy to get off the phone with me. read more

Ive been using CVS for years and this one is by far THE WORST EVER!! They have screwed up mine and my son's prescriptions so many times! One time we were waiting an hour for them to confirm my son's prescription, only to find out they had him in their computer twice but with a different date of birth. They really thought I had 2 kids with the same name born 9 years apart ?!?! 3 times already I have called in prescriptions and they say they faxed over the request to his doc for refill and im home waiting and waiting for them to call and tell me his prescription is ready, only to find out the request wasn never sent ! THREE TIMES this has happened. I even call to make sure it has been sent and they lie ! Shame on me for thinking it will get better. Im finally done with them. And it sucks because I actually like CVS as a whole, just not this particular one. read more

Some are nice. Some are very rude! They all know me as I am a regular. And still rude. Most you can tell don't even want to be there. The Pharmacy is a whole different story. They hate there life and are the rudest of all. Can't believe they have jobs. They are even rude to each other!!!! They act like they own the place and they are untouchable without consequence or oversight. I am a DM in retail and can't believe what I see. They do have some management and a couple employees that do right. My mother is in her 80's, in a rest home, so I handle all of her business affairs, including ordering prescriptions. This morning I tried to log in to her CVS account to check on reorders, etc. This is an account I assisted her in setting up 6 years ago, have used it regularly during these years. The login told me it was time to change the password, but the system would not let me change it online. I called their 800 helpdesk number to change it, but they could not help me without a medical power of attorney (which I have). The gave me an email address to send it too: customercareorderupdate@cvs.caremark.com. But I got an automated response, invalid email address. I spent the next 2 hours calling (888) 607-4287, 800 287 2414 and another number I lost, and the local store, to get the right email address or a fax number. Everyone told me to call someone else. The last (6th) person I spoke with told me that there is no provision for power of attorney and that there is no way for me to access this account again. This is, of course, utter horse manure, since I handle all of my mother's paperwork for doctors, insurance, legal matters, etc. But CVS in unable to comprehend that, even though I can still pick up her prescriptions. Complete nonsense. If you use CVS for prescriptions be aware that they do not handle paperwork or any complications well. In this case they do not handle them at all. No one was rude (except me after 2 hours), but know one knew anything either. The only response was "call someone else" read more

I am on a medication that apparently my local crappy CVS pharmacy never stocks. Last month I had to drive up to this store. Which was fine. Two months prior I had to "call around" to find a CVS that stocked the medication. So I just now called and talked to Sharon who said that they cannot give out that information. Ummm ok? So I asked why did I call you before and I was able to find out if you had it in stock? She said, "I don't know " so I said, I am supposed to drive to each CVS to see if the medication is available? I brought my prescription to this pharmacy because I realized it was on my route to work and to my sons school. Dropped it off on the 25th was told it should be ready on the 30th. I was fine picking it up then because it was no big deal. Got the alert from my app it was ready today on the 30th. Went in the store I was told they had not filled it so a half hr, I was like cool I wait. Was called to the counter to pay and pick up, the yell behind the cashier tell her we won't fill it again because it was early... I said no I was told the 25th it was earl so it would be available for lick up on the 30th. The pharmacist came around the counter just to argue and be rude and made a scene because she said I wasn't picking up my prescription too early when I was told that was the date for pick up according to the woman that I dropped it off with. She argued with me in front of other customers, cashier grinned and she told me I can't jump from one CVS to another even though I moved my work closer to that pharmacy. I've been getting my meds from this pharmacy for almost a year, been on the same meds for over 2 years. Each time I pick up, the pharmacist will ask if I've taken these meds before and if i have any questions. I answer "yes and no, thank you" every time and that's that. Normally i would go through the drive thru but their drawer broke and fell onto someones car so i had to go inside. A pharm tech named Japal Patel assisted me. As she brought my meds to the register, without even asking me, she says, "My advice is that you dont need this med for insomnia, your other meds are causing your insomnia" she continued to go on and even said the names of my medications aloud with several customers standing behind me. So not only is she violating my rights by talking about my medical condition and telling me to have my Dr reevaluate me, she didn't stop harassing me about my meds and conditons after i had said, "I already discussed it with my Dr, Ive been taking my meds for a while and they work fine." She kept going on about which meds i dont need for my conditon. This "advice" was not asked for, it was harassing and was highly unprofessional. I would have stayed to talk to the manager, but my sick pregnant wife had been waiting on me in the car so i had no more time to waste on this person. Avoid this woman if you want to just pick up your meds and not be harassed. read more

Awful service. They always mess up my pharmacy prescription order. Wrong prediction, incorrect insurance billing, multiple times, consistently wrong. So I always end up arguing and complaining and waiting extra longer for what I need or even worse, having to go back to get my medicine. Total inconvenience!!! read more

So upset with this group of incompetent pharmacists. First, I called in to have my wife's prescr. refilled. Went to pick it up a few days later and the staff indicated to me that there were no more refills left. Puzzled as to why they didn't tell her when she called it in to get it refilled, I went home and discovered that on the bottle of medicine, it plainly indicated that there was one more refill type-written on the side of the medicine. I called Walmart pharmacy (way lower prices btw!) to have the prescr. transferred. Walmart called to tell me that CVS had indicated that there were no refills left. So, my wife went to CVS with the empty bottle of medicine in tow. She showed the pharmacist the bottle. the pharm. indicated that it couldn't be transferred because there was one refill left. WHAT? I called and asked to speak to the pharmacist.. She then indicated that the script had been transferred to the Redlands CVS, (without our authorization). Btw, the pharm, indicated that the reason it was transferred was because they were out of the medication! What! And they didn't inform us about it?! So, we called Redlands CVS. They indicated that they had no record of my wife's prescription! What! Called back to Yucaipa CVS and asked to speak to the pharmacy mgr. she did not come to the phone. Trying to get to the bottom of this was futile. While I was waiting for the mgr., they apparently called my wife's Dr. asking for a refill. I know this because our Dr. texted me indicating that the CVS. had just called him asking for a refill. WHAT? Apparently, they were trying to cover their tracks. Needless to say, I will NEVER go to any CVS , if I can help it. Especially not for prescriptions. Btw, the mgr, never did come to the phone. SAM read more

Watch out for the manager Katherine Pham, after making over 3 mistakes on my prescriptions, including loosing one of them, she will refuse to take responsibility for her mistakes and will do nothing to help you. So, if you are in dyer need of your heart meds, and she lost your prescription, she won't even have the courtesy of calling your doctor to get a new one. She'll tell you she will, but after waiting for one week and ended in the hospital for not having my med (for Congestive Heart Failure)she never called the doctors office even once. This was confirmed with the office. Not only that, but she is unprofessional and acted like a 3 year old, yelling at me on the phone telling me that I was crazy (WHAT? and you are a pharmacist????), not exactly the proper conduct for a license Pharmacist. Today, they call me and tell me they have 3 prescriptions ready, WHAT? I just spoke to the doctor and he faxed only one, why do you have 3 of them? Them..... Oh I guess we ended up finding the one that was lost and then there's this other one.... me.... Why didn't they call me last week so I didn't end up in emergency? ...them:...she probably got to busy and forgot. me:.. WHAT???? you are putting people's life in danger..... Anyway, it isn't even worth getting my heart rate up for people that don't even appreciate their job and profession. Never again CVS in Yucaipa, the worst manager I've ever come across. The rest of the girls are fine, but please check your meds before you take them, specially if Katherine is managing that day.
