His response, for this 45 cent image, was, "this has happened before." I took the photograph that was being printed at your store. I recognize that he did not even have a uniform on, nor did he have basic courtesy or manners. I trust that mutual respect and civility will happen. I am pulling all my prescriptions for family and self from all CVS pharmacies. Just called my local for years and could not get through to either a tech or pharmacist to ask a question. Gave up and went online to get a help number and a very nice human gentleman told me it is no longer possible to talk to a human at a CVS store (unless you are actually in store yourself). He said if the bot couldn't help me all I have to do is hang up and call the corporate line he gave me. They would then contact the pharmacy and get an answer for me. No thanks! If they cannot be bothered to have someone in my local store to verify what I need to know, my satisfaction is at zero with them. Haven't tried Amazon or Costco, or Walmart. CVS is way too expensive to make me jump through hoops for the pleasure of spending my money there. read more

Every time I come to pick up my prescription it is not ready. EVERYTIME! I have to sit in their chairs and wait 15 minutes. The staff is friendly and apologetic but when I have 1 pill left it should have been refilled and waiting. I don't know why I keep coming back. It's so difficult to refill a prescription. Their voice response system is broken. The voice prompts go on and off, so it's impossible to order a refill via that system. Then it transfers the caller to a mailbox with the same broken voice response system that makes it impossible to enter a callback number. Then it disconnects. I strongly suggest CVS hires a competent American company do design, implement and maintain their software. Unless CVS thinks it has too many customers and wants to discourage them doing business with CVS. read more

Came here for a flu shot and the pharmacist who checked me in was very efficient and polite. The wait for the shot was not bad and the pharmacist who administered it was knowledgeable and administered the shot adeptly and with minimized injection site pain. He also had on a fun Star Wars Yoda mask which made him seem more approachable, so I asked a few questions and learned so much about the flu shot during the few minutes it took from prep to finish. The employees all wore masks and there were floor stickers showing people where to stand to keep people distanced in line to help keep our community safe. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this location! read more

OK I go to CVSA lot and it's a great store but I've just recently moved in the northeast Yorba Linda and our CVS store here in Eastlake village I can't believe someone so stupid to have the handicapped parking on the West side of the store and the doors are locked on this side so if you're handicapped you've got to park there and walk all the way to the other end of the store to get in when they get just as easily either switch the parking spaces to the door that works Or change the door that opens for the handicap give me a break people sounds like somebody is suffering from a severe case of cranial rectal inversion fix it! Don't buy 3rd party gift cards from this store. Sadly, I purchased $100 Sephora gift card at this CVS for my daughter's birthday, which we found out was wiped out with online purchases by the time she went to use it 2 weeks later. When I tried to get my money back from Sephora, they said the CVS store is responsible as the 3rd party vendor. After multiple phone calls to dispute with CVS, they closed my case and said there's nothing they can do but to go back to Sephora. I feel they should honor my purchase and go after Sephora themselves for their money. I am a long-time customer at this neighborhood store, but my family will no longer shop here. Canceling my CVS care pass because of poor customer service. I feel sorry for the employees, but this store won't make it if they don't stand by their customers. read more

This CVS smells weird and I don't know if it is just this CVS but everything is super overpriced by 30%-40%. I had lunch with a few friends at a restaurant right in the same shopping center so I went in afterwards to grab some over the counter items. I was looking at the price for some of the things and I was so confused as to why they were charging $7.00 for cough drops, the same ones you can get at Target for a mere $3.00. What a rip off. This is one of the best pharmacies I have ever used! They are thorough, they follow up, This pharmacy just goes above and beyond. They are friendly when you go in, they are friendly on the phone. If you live further out than Yorba Linda this is worth the drive! There are those few people that take those extra, extra steps to be friendly but I do not want to name names because this is just overall a great pharmacy, I don't feel like just a number waiting or rushed so they can get to the next person . Tried to speak to a store associate for help about rapid tests, but they were not willing to help me. I had called the cvs help line and had been told this store had some tests jn stock, but when i got there, all they told me was they didn't have those here. The rudest pharmacist around, only worst place is the Placentia store on YL Blvd. for a pharmacy they never have anything in stock! The bounce you from counter to counter, long weights and my neighbor had an issue of not all of their meds and eye given to them. Got a free flu shot from work so I came to this location since it was listed on the CVS website that there was a Minute Clinic. Turns out, the free coupon was good at any location that administered flu shots and I didn't (and couldn't) go through the Minute Clinic (oops)! This CVS is well-stocked, brightly lit, and clean. The pharmacist who administered my flu shot was super duper friendly. We ended up talking about Netflix shows and I really enjoyed our conversation (I may have been craving social interaction though since I've been stuck in quarantine for months). This is the biggest CVS I've been to and the drive thru had so many cars. I'd make the extra drive just to come to this CVS for future flu shots. read more

I was forced to go to this pharmacy by CVS Caremark insurance. I was told my prescription would be ready in an hour at this store. when I went 3 hours later, after waiting in line, I was told they didn't have it. I went to the pharmacist consultation window and watched her take the order off the fax right then. i waited to have it filled and was told it wasn't billed for and she would have to call Caremark. once that was cleared up, I was sent back to the pick up line. why it wasn't ready, I don't know. why the pharmacist couldn't check me out, I don't know either. CVS, a quick stop for the necessary things that they do best. Despite the fact the product I've used over the years is being discontinued it was still the best experience thanks to Birgit! Customer service extraordinaire! She helped me select a new product, took time to share her knowledge and all with a HUGE smile, despite the fact that she was also on the register. What I loved most was listening to the exchange of conversation with the gentleman in front of me, he was thanking her for her years of service at that store, the difference she makes and the positive impact CVS has in the community. Quite honestly, 1 star is being too kind re: PHIL the Pharmacist. Over the past 20 years we've lived in YL, we have been getting ALL our scripts sent to this Pharmacy, and although there have a been some real caring and helpful people who have worked there, PHIL is not one of them! This pharmacy seems so unorganized, incompetent, and do not know how to keep accurate records. We are constantly having to call our Dr's offices to clear up issues they have created, but conveniently ALWAYS blame it on the Dr's office (the dr. never sent the script over, or he/she sent the wrong dose...it's never their fault)! Honestly, we have given PHIL the benefit of the doubt too many times (i.e., realizing we all have bad days), but it's been years now, and we have found that EVERY occasion we have had to interact with PHIL, he simply lacks any kind of customer service skills, shows NO genuine concern for patients who come there not only for his expertise, but professionalism, which he also lacks considerably. He is beyond rude, very short and abrasive, and completely unwilling to LISTEN to anything the customer has to stay re: needs or concerns. For the record, our family does struggle with a multiplicity of different health issues, and we want/NEED to know we are in competent/good hands with our local Pharmacy/Pharmacist, but more so, caring hands! That is NOT the message we get when we have had to deal with PHIL. Sadly, we can't keep trying to avoid when he is working, when we need to get our medications. This has been going on too long. I was given an EXPIRED medicine bottle. Mind you, it's only 2 days expired at the time of purchase but by the time I'll have finished it, it'd have been 2-3 months expired at least ! Good thing I checked and came back in to exchange right away. You would think a pharmacy would have at least the decency to give unexpired meds or maybe offer discounts to near expired meds. In this case, it is NOT even near expired. It is ALREADY expired! Makes you wonder why a pharmacy would do that? This CVS always smells weird, like a nursing home. I've never been to a store that smells anywhere like odd, decaying perfume. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this! Their makeup aisles are like mini battlezones. Price tags are missing on half the stuff. Also, most everything is more expensive in-store than online (CVS also discontinued their pick up in store option). They like to price their items double that of Target, and 30% more expensive than Walgreens and no price matching. Also, the last time I went to fill my prescription here, the pharm tech basically announced what it was in front of everyone. She was definitely not complying with hipaa privacy. I switched to the Walgreens 15 minutes down the street. Cleaner, faster, better customer service, and worth the extra drive. read more

I have had mixed experiences at this location - vaccine scheduling has been very simple and organized; lately (2023) however, the pharmacist appears overwhelmed by the volume. An example is multi-hour backlogs to fill an order. The CVS district pharmacist needs to do a better job ensuring adequate staffing, to avoid overloading the store staff. read more

I am reviewing on their photo services. I spent over an hour trying to use their machine to print some matte photos. When I showed up the next day to pick up the photos (approximately 300 photos) i found that their matte photos were HORRIBLE. They were all ugly their matte photo paper was really low quality and i was very disappointed. After paying i went back in and complained about the horrible quality and i was pleasantly surprised when the person offered me a 10% off when i reprint my photos. The only horrible thing was i had to sit at the kodak machines for another hour to figure out what pictures i wanted to be printed again. All in all this was an okay experience but i think the CVS on eureka and imperial hwy has better photo paper. read more

I didn't know what to expect getting the COVID vaccine, but I genuinely appreciated the caring, professional, and knowledgeable pharmacy team at this Yorba Linda CVS on Village Center Drive. Despite being busy with many vaccine appointments, they spent time with each patient and kept the overall process organized and efficient. A special thanks to Arash, Eric, Birgit, and Beth for their tireless efforts in making sure every patient was taken care of. The supervisor lied to me. From about 6:00 pm - 6:20 pm, at 20475 Yorba Linda Boulevard, Yorba Linda, CA 92886 (Eastlake Village), the pharmacist did not give me a receipt. She said it must have been emailed to me. No email, and I did not request it emailed. After waiting for supervisor to help the pharmacist, the supervisor couldn't print and had to wait for another person. She said "someone IS PRINTING it". After I waited again ... I went in front and found out that the person who would print it was out of lunch. The supervisor lied. Why did she have to lie? I had to wait again for the team member to come back from lunch. Then, the team member arrived and she gave me somebody else's receipt. The credit card # did not match. I told her the last 4 digits of my credit card # and she wants to see my card (for what???). Three employees ... there's gotta be someone capable or honest (maybe in another store, but not this store). read more

As someone who goes here frequently it's extremely frustrating how slow this place operates. A two person line shouldn't translate to a 10-15 minute wait. There should be a self check out or a second cashier to speed up the process. Also, to further increase the speed at which things operate, CVS should implement a system where people give their phone number and the coupons they have are automatically applied. Printing a 23 foot long receipt with 87 different coupons for the cashiers to wade through is one of the most archaic things I've seen. It's 2019. Email receipts and auto apply coupons.
