I have been coming to this pharmacy for more than 10 years. And shame on me. It has never been great, but literally gets worse with each experience. Today I had a prescription called in around 11am. Received confirmation from CVS that they received it at 11:14am. At 5:30pm, I assumed I must have missed the notification that it was ready (again, that's my bad). I waited in line at the drive through for 30 minutes (bc I'm sick- hence the prescription). Only to be told it's not ready and will be 20-30 minutes. No apologies- just "oh there were probably 400 prescriptions ahead of yours". The moment I arrived home, I got the text that it's ready now. Seriously? They couldn't have said "pull aside and we will bring it right out"? Very frustrating. read more

I really like this CVS it stocked and brightly lite. It used to be drab and dark but it was revamped. You can pretty much find anything your looking for. I like the new CVS GOLD Emblem line of snacks they carry. Usually get the peanut butter filled pretzels and the lightly salted cashews for my desk drawer at work. I have only used the pharmacy twice but both times they were pretty quick filling my prescription. Plus, this location is right next to Starbucks.....Happy Dance!! read more

This is a large CVS location with good selection, updated, and clean, but it can be pricey if what you need isn't on sale. The photo department here drives me a little nuts - I had a bad experience in the past with placing an online photo order and then I get to the store to pick it up and they said they couldn't complete it due to their equipment not working, yet I had never been told there was an issue. More recently I went in to print some photos out at the self-serve photo center and had a bunch of issues. An employee finally came over to help and said that most of the machines weren't working. It's so frustrating to me that their systems seem to be so outdated and are in dire need of updating, but that's a problem I have now experienced in many CVS locations. In terms of retail experience, it's fine. read more

You cannot expect prescriptions to be filled in a timely manner AT ALL. Whether it's a prescriber sending a refill that you need that day, or in my case today where I left the ER midday, and my script isn't reday @ 7:48 in the evening. It's time for cvs to take a long hard look at their staffing enough people in this busy location. read more

First off the revamped store is amazing. It's no longer a wasteland of a pharmacy store but a light and bright place to shop. The pharmacy section though is still a work in progress. It is painfully understaffed and the staff there is worked to the bone because of it. Lines are always super long regardless of what time or day you arrive and sometimes they can't locate your prescription. Also the ready-fill program while great in theory has over filled me on more than one occasion.. Not sure what I'm going to do with over 500 tablets of something. And speaking things that are great in theory the reminder calls...I sometimes feel like I'm being harassed as sometimes I do need them yet other times I can't get there and they call three times a day!! read more

Horrible the last two times. I am all done with this location. The woman who is usually at the front is extremely rude and pushes everyone to use the self check out. When you do so, there are always problems-todays problem was no ink to print your reciept and i heard her play dumb with the next customer when she was told AGAIN that the receipt printed blank. She never helps. Another customer asked her where something was...when she could just walk the customer to her location, she explained it in a horrible and confusing way. read more

Hey CVS. So I just left your whethersfield, CT store. I love you guys. You sent me an email in the top 1% of savers in the state of Connecticut. Well I think we should break up. Your employee at the whethersfield store called 2 cops to the store tonight to arrest me. BECAUSE I WAS COUPONING. COUPONING?!?!? Once he figured out I wasn't stealing and what I was actually doing it was too late to call them off. But what's weird is that he followed me around the entire time standing almost on top of me and when I asked why. He said he just so happened to have been assigned that section to fix up. What's funny is I didn't even realize what was going on until my friend who was in the car came in looking very frantic. We we're then followed by the police. Lauren a CVS supervisor did call and leave me a message on 4/19/16. I called back within an hour and left a voicemail with my contact information and let her know that I was looking forward to talking to her. I have still not received a call back over a month later. Customer service is brought to a new low by reaching out but failing to follow through. read more

The pharmacy here leaves a lot to be desired. I've received very bad customer service here twice now over the phone, which happens to be the number of times I've called them. Zero for Zero on the friendly and helpful score board. The first time I called I went through the phone loop to get to the pharmacy. Every time they would pick up they'd hang up on me after I said "hello". I kept calling back thinking there was a bad phone connection but it was pretty obvious that the woman answering the phone didn't want to do her job and would hang up on me each time we'd exchange "hellos". When I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor, my call actually went through that time-no hang up. Unfortunately, the supervisor claimed that they were having phone issues and never offered an apology. Funny how that call was able to get through-she didn't understand why I was so frustrated and told me to call back when I wasn't so flustered. I asked to leave a formal complaint about the whole issue and she refused to give me a name or take my complaint over the phone. Today I called because I noticed they input the wrong Dr. on my prescription. It wasn't even a Dr. I've every seen before. I noticed because I refilled my prescription online at cvs.com and the system told me that the prescription had no refills so they would contact the Dr. for authorization. It was the wrong Dr-so, I'm doubting they'll ever get a response if the Drs office has no record of me being a patient there. When I called CVS in Wethersfield to give them the heads up and ask that they change it, Katie was very rude about the situation. No apology yet again-I don't want my prescription information along with God knows what being sent out to some random Dr. Not only is that sending MY medical information to someone who is not authorized to receive it, but now it creates extra work for everyone else to determine that I'm not a patient at that practice. I'm appalled at the lack of customer care at this pharmacy-truly disgusted. Where is the quality control? read more

As it had been so long since my previous visit to this store, and the store I usually go to was out of stock of a couple of things bc they're so busy, I decided to try this store again. That was a mistake. All this time later, the store is as awful as before. Extremely rude unprofessional insolent service, and, as the saying goes, the fish stinks from the head. When I called to notify the manager, who was identified as Steve, he had no interest. That would explain why he has employees who provide such bad service. This is definitely a store to avoid. I've used a lot of CVS pharmacies, but this is the worst. For the second time in a row, I dropped off a prescription for a common med, was told it'd be ready in an hour, and then got a call a few minutes later about the pharmacy being out of the drug but probably having it ready sometime tomorrow -- all without the hint of an apology. They also have a lot of trouble with online orders, as in never getting them. read more

Possibly the worst pharmacy staff ever. My doctor ordered a glucose meter and I was issued the wrong test strips and lancets before they even Knew what type my insurance would cover. On top of that I was given a different kind of lancets that my insurance also did not cover the meter. It would have taken only a little effort on their part to prevent this from happening. Had the nicest experience with one of the clerks. I asked about a product. She came out from her register (there was another active register) and went back to where we had been looking. She couldn't find it either, which had said, but wanted to make sure before we left. I felt like such a valued customer. My wife had the same reaction. I think they pay their pharmacy techs by the amount of time spent with each customer. Try not to go at a busy time!

Just a shout-out to Kerri and Josh - I was with my elderly mother on a VERY hot day a couple of days ago, and my car key fob stopped working. Kerri took it apart with an eyeglass repair kit screwdriver and checked to see if they had the right battery (they didn't). She let me use the pharmacy phone (I had left my iPhone home) to call Triple A and they told me I could get into the car without setting off the alarm (I was skeptical). Josh put the key fob back together and was ready to help me get into the car without having the alarm go off. Fortunately, the key fob started working again, so no further action was needed. These two CVS employees made what could have been a very stressful situation much easier for us. Thank you! read more
