I don't know if should be reviewing this CVS since I never been inside the store it self, but I do however deal with the pharmacy over the phone, Since this is where I get my meds from. So I will be basing my review on that. Well here goes most of the time when I do call in to inquire about my meds I do get put on hold witch is typical I am just guessing that it can be the time of day that I choose to call. If I do get put on hold I just eventually hang up and call in later. Some times I get lucky and not get put on hold and when that happens I always ask to speak with their senior pharmacy tech. This tech always answers my questions or issues that i have with my prescriptions. So far just as long as I ask for this tech I haven't any any problems getting my prescriptions done. I also have looked at other reviews of CVS locations it all basically the same I just wonder why people don't like CVS but still go there any way. ? Well folks I give this pharmacy 3 stars since I am reviewing how they deal with me over the phone, maybe I will have to update my review when i get a chance to go in a see the pharmacy in action for myself. Most of the time they're pretty friendly but they have a few that need some further training on not just their job skills but customer service as well. Service can be slow, again depending on who's working. For the most part they're ok and why I gave three stars. read more

Things have definitely gone down since they switched from Long's to CVS. I used to say this was the store where a bunch of employees looked like people I'd met otherwise. Mike looked like Charles, Lauren looked like Joanie, Greg looked like Henry, Barbara looked like Ginny, etc. Most of those people left before, or early on in the change between the two stores. And, others left later. I only know of two people who were there before, and I sometimes get good service from them, but other times, not so great. It's only three minutes from home, but I've considered going somewhere else. Maybe I won't change right away, as I may be moving out of the area soon. I've been here 50 years now, and the shopping center wasn't even built when we came, but as far as I know, everything in there is different from when they built it. Except the McDonald's. read more

Very frustrating pharmacy pick-up experience. I've had to go twice to pick up a prescription, and I had to wait almost 30 minutes each time. The drug wasn't available the first time and they did not contact me about it for weeks because they said my phone number was not on file. The second time (after my doctor switched a prescription to a different brand), they asked me to wait 5-10 mins while they filled it; they also said that they'd call out when it was ready, and I wouldn't have to get in line again. It wasn't called out at all and when I finally went back to the consultation/drop-off counter, they said it was ready and asked me to get in the pick-up line AGAIN to pay for it! It also surprised me that one of the women at the pharmacy was rather rude to me both times I was there, whereas I noticed that she had very pleasant conversations with the other customers while I was waiting. I wonder if it had to do with the fact that they were white and I'm brown... In all fairness, the people at the front-desk billing counter have always been friendly and polite. I'm definitely switching to a different pharmacy for my medications though. read more

These incontinent (sp) morons are going to get someone hurt one of these days. Perscriptions are never ready when you get there and they make lame excuses about why they can't fill your perscription even though they've known for 4 or 5 days that you were going to pickup the perscription on that day. If you care about your health DO NOT GO HERE!! Last time in they would not fill a perscription because their link to AETNA was down.... Then they called 4 hours later to inform me that the meds I needed would not be availabel until 2 days later. (out of Stock) They could have said that up front and saved everybody from the hassle. Lying to customers is NEVER a good idea. read more

The MinuteClinic Here is horrible. I received a vaccine here and an inexperienced N.P. did the injection for me. She looks like not being trained well at all. I could sense something was not right even before i took the shot. That N.P. had no clue about the vaccine and she had to go search it online just to make sure of everything. The injection hurt like hell and one day later, my arm started to get swelling, red, and burning. The area around the injection point became a large bump and it has been 4 days now and it's still hurting. I don't know if it's an inflammation or infection, and I don't know whom to blame. But this experience made me really want to sue ur guys. read more

The CVS pharmacy here is a mixed bag. I've had good experiences getting flu shots -- quick, experienced personnel, takes insurance, etc. But refilling a prescription ranges from smooth to nightmare-ish. The phone system is hit and miss and just when I start to have confidence in it again, they somehow "didn't get the message" despite the system telling me when my re-fill is ready. This time, the person who took my call after 15 minutes on hold, told me they hadn't received the info, despite the machine giving me a date when someone would call me back. From now on, I'm calling and placing my re-fill order with a human being. read more

I am writing this 50 minutes after my two bicycles (my and my son's) were stolen from in front of the CVS on El Camino and Remington. I do admit that I could have been wiser, but here are the details. (1) the store does NOT have bicycle racks, not there are any racks nearby. I locked two bicycles together, but, obviously, this did not help. (2) the space in front of the store entrance is occupied by the pallets with water bottles. I would have parked the bicycles closer to the entrance, but I did nod want to block the narrow path left. (3) The manager claimed that they can not help me with security camera information. Per his words, they did not have outside cameras. I pointed out that some of the inside cameras should show see through the windows, but he claimed that they do not have any outside area covered. Now, first of all, this is hard to believe, and second, you can see that there are cameras outside. Are they all broken? Anyhow, I could not get anything out of him. 911 operator only gave me the opportunity to file the report over the phone, and no police was coming to the scene. read more

everytime i come in here i always have a bad experience. it's always busy and never enough cashiers. a woman in my same aisle pressed the help button. and waited ten minutes, then i had pressed the button again and waited almost another 10 minutes. they seem really short staffed. the manager at the front seemed to really care about the fact that i waited this long and offered to help me out. previous times the line is almost halfway down the aisle. in conclusion, hire some more employees read more

Slow. Awful!! My doctor had to call them repeatedly because the pharmacist claimed she did not receive my prescription. The pharmacy counters are manned by unprofessional teenagers who have no concept of patient privacy. The pharmacist moves with the speed and precision of a communist party apparatchik in a Soviet factory. If you have any choice in the matter run away from this place. read more

The worst place you can go too. My doctor told me to tell them that they had to call to get my prescription transfer. So I went to tell the lady there that I needed my prescription transferred from Kaiser. She told me that she will have to call them and get it transfer, come back in an hour because Kaiser take REALLY LONG. I said "Sure, no problem."I left came back after an hour... Got it line like everyone else again.... She told me that she has not had the chance to call, she has been busy, give her some more time. I said "okay sure I'll wait here." I waited another hour... Got in line AGAIN like everyone else there and she told me the same thing. I asked to talk to her manger and told him what was going on.. Basically, I waited for two hours without getting anywhere. The manger told me that she tried calling but couldn't get a hold of them. (If you are trying to cover up, you should at least get your story together) so I told them that I was leaving and I will go somewhere else and left. I went to Walgreen pharmacy and they called Kaiser (in less then 10mins) but guess what... CVS called and had it transfer AFTER I told them That I was leaving... So Walgreen had to called CVS and of course CVS put them on hold for awhile. Anyways, I got in and out of Walgreen pharmacy in less then 30 minutes.. CVS wasted my time. This was around 9PM... I didn't get home till about midnight.. read more

This pharmacy is the worst ever. I had to wait longer than 1 hour to pick up my prescripted medicines. In comparison with the service I got in Colombia "3rd world", this is my worst experience in the US. I should take my pain relief medicine, but thanks CVS, I should suffer my pain in the line for longer than one hour. The horror!!! I could give them -1 star if it would be possible. read more

The pharmacy here is terrible! The staff is incredibly slow and cannot comprehend a simple spelling of a last name. The prescriptions (even the automatically refilled ones) are NEVER ready to be picked up, even when the pharmacy calls to say they're ready. I waited on hold 20min at 9pm to speak with pharmacy about my child's rx. I called while I was driving home so I stopped in the store instead....while still on hold. There was one person in line and me and I had my phone on hold with them on speaker phone in the line. When the pharmacist heard the elevator music she answered my call but as I was all ready there began speaking to her about wait time from the line rather than the phone. She just laughed and said they were busy right before I showed up. 20min on hold busy? The parking lot is empty. The store is dead. She could have reconfirmed my wait or anything other than hope id hang up after 20min. This is the slowest worst CVS I've ever been too. The staff is uncaring and not friendly. I continue to use it only because it it within walking distance of my apartment. I would avoid if possible. This isn't the only incident I've had but the one that finally made me write a review. read more

Really poorly managed by CVS. The nurse practitioner was goid, but she called for help 3 times in 30 minutes and no one showed up. I had an appointment to check a TB test...an actual appointment...And she was 30 minutes late. Easier to go to the doc. CVS management needs to get it together on this. read more

I had always had no problem with this place until today... I went to buy myself some sun flower seeds to eat, and came upon with the frito lays ranch sunflower seeds.. I got home with the sunflower seeds to find that it has been expired since OCT 6 2015. And yes of course I had to go back for a refund. This CVS is putting stuff that are over due on shelves.. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. Literally, 100% guarantee the lady that helped me put the fritolays ranch sunflower seed back on the shelves. LOOK AT DUE DATES BEFORE PURCHASING. read more

I am upgrading my review for this place as the management here has been replaced and they are good enough to honor replacements on different brand waters as substitute when running out and don't make a person come back weeks later to get the sale. This review is only for the Minute Clinic, not for the store. This clinic does everything by computer and the treatment is determined by the data entered in the computer. I went in for an infection and asked for an antibiotic that has worked for this condition in the past. The computer would not allow the Nurse to dispense anything but 2 very weak antibiotics. I questioned the NP as I knew these would not work in the case of a rapidly spreading infection in my foot but was told there was no way to override the system. Later that same day, now in the ER at Stanford as the infection was so bad, I was told "that was an interesting choice of antibiotics." At my follow up appointment at my regular doctors office 2 days later, I was told the antibiotic I was given at Minute Clinic inadequate for my condition and would have taken days to work, time which I did not have. The nurse was nice, but was incorrect when I asked a specific question about the antibiotic I was being given, and gave me something that everyone else agreed had no chance of helping me in my condition. Flu shots, maybe, but never again for anything more serious for me at a Minute Clinic. The only good advise/treatment was the nurse stressed to go to the ER immediately if the swelling became worse, which it did within hours. read more

I spent 1.5 hours here trying to sort out and get a prescription. The system and process is obsolete and I had to stand in 5 lines 5 times.

Negative stars!!! Very poor customer service. Unprofessional staff in the pharmacy. I myself am a licensed professional in a very well known Hospital Organization in the USA and I also had worked at a CVS retail pharmacy in the past for some time. I had stopped by this location at 576 E El Camino Real in Sunnyvale to purchase some over the counter medications and when I approached the counter at the pharmacy some Asian chick tells me to go to the front register to buy my items. The laziest of lazy people not wanting to do their job!!! It is CVS policy to ring up any customer regardless if they are buying groceries or medications at the pharmacy counter!!! From the looks of it the other reviews aren't very positive either the owner should shut this place down it's an embarrassment of a business when your employees are giving you a bad rep!!! The CEO needs a better training program and revamp this particular store get rid of them all!!! read more

Waiting time is terrible. How much time does it take to pick some medicines and put them in one bag? 1 minute. Here takes 30 minutes.

I came back to get my return and it took a ridiculously long time (20+ minutes). But everyone was nice about the situation. And the manager handled things well and apologized. However, I probably will think twice about coming back. read more

To the CVS pharmacy, this was by far the worst experience of my life. The girl Kimberly M. that was working the pharmacy register decided to get into my conversation with the pharmacist. She didn't like the way I was talking to the pharmacist and told me she wouldn't ring me up after I had my prescription ready. I stood at the register for a good 3 min while they just kept working in the back. Let me just add that I just had surgery at Stanford prior to the CVS visit, so I was already in pain. And to deny charging me for my prescription that was already ready was very unprofessional. I talked to the manager on duty and said that I wanted an apology, Kimberly said no and had the pharmacist try to apologize for her not ringing me up. Worst service ever! I called and cvs complaints and they're getting back to me soon about this case. That girl Kimberly should never be allowed to work in customer service. read more

Friday night on 8/21/15 around 9:30pm, I called in to request my medication to be refilled. A girl with Indian accent picked up the phone and told me to wait. I waited for 20mins, she finally picked it up and hung on me right way. I called the pharmacy again, got the automatic voice activation, I followed the instructions but then ended up waiting on the phone forever. I finally hung up the phone around 10:15pm. Yesterday, I called CVS again and found out her name is DEVIKA. CVS itself is never good but some workers are extremely rude. If you go to CVS, look at the name tag and avoid DEVIKA. this one star is only for CVS but for DEVIKA is NEGATIVE 10. read more

I had a very bad experience today at 7:15 pm here. I was in line with my wife for checkout. Another employee came to open a register. Since there was no other person in front me in line and the last person in front of me had already put his stuff on the checkout belt, I was thinking that I can go to that line. I started moving toward the new register, when the guy, who I think was the manager, yelled at me saying no no no, cutting off is not ok. My wife spoke up to him saying that we simply thought we can go in that line, since no one was in front of us. He even didn't listen and kept saying cutting off is not ok. No one deserves such rude behavior from a salesman. I think racism is also part of the reason that he behaved like this, since my wife is hijabi muslim. I am sure my review won't cause the place to change, but still better to talk about these behaviors in the hope people can educate themselves and behave in a better way. I am sure that guy wouldn't like it if someone treated him the same way. read more

The pharmacy is too busy, and they don't have time to answer the phones. I called once, was left on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and told the lady who answered the phone I was on hold for 15 minutes, and she apologized, and put me on hold for ANOTHER 15 minutes. Been here before, and they do seem overwhelmed all the time. Will be taking my business elsewhere if they don't fix this situation. read more

Just spent a horrid hour waiting for the Minute Clinic without ever seeing whoever was behind the closed door. My daughter has a sore throat, we got a strep exposure notice at school & I heard you can get a quick strep test at this clinic. Fast forward an hour later and we were STILL waiting to see a dr. I was texted 40 minutes earlier that we were up next and to come back to the waiting room. I left after waiting 60 minutes. The family seeing the Dr. ahead of us kept coming out and going back in. The mother of the family finally said to me that the clinic has issues with billing that family's insurance. Great. So we were left waiting without an explanation, no end to the waiting in sight. & a message on their screen saying we were currently being seen. Yah right. I was stupid to not just go to my own clinic's Urgent Care. Next time I won't make the same mistake. 50 plus minutes of futile wait. No customer service. They suck. read more

There are never enough pharmacists or technicians to adequately handle the volume of prescriptions they need to work on. The phone is rarely answered before at least a 3 minute wait. There is always a long line at drop-off and pick-up during hours that are convenient for any person with a job (lunch and 4:30 - 7:00pm). Every time I've had to pick up a schedule II drug, they haven't had it in stock and I've had to wait at least 2 days. Many times things fall through the cracks - prescriptions sometimes not filled even when called in 24 hours earlier, without a call from them before I get there to explain why. Technicians often don't take the time necessary to understand and resolve problem circumstances. I don't believe the problem is with the people working at the pharmacy - there are just not enough of them at most given times to handle the volume of transactions properly. This has been a common experience for me at most CVS pharmacies. Just go to a different pharmacy, there's no reason anyone should have to put up with the sloppy service at CVS in Sunnyvale. read more
