Alas, I learned today that my insurance required me to refill my prescription at CVS. As my own local CVS pharmacy has been consistently sluggish, and had neither my script or a generic available, I had to drive twenty minutes out of my way to this pharmacy. I didn't arrive with high expectations. Lia was my pharmacist, and she explained what my other pharmacy and my insurance company, by phone, had not. She made sure I had my script in a timely manner, and was prompt and pleasant throughout. Lia, Jenny, and the rest of your team, thank you for making this script fill painless as possible and making the odyssey of filling it (my insurance allows prescriptions everywhere but refills only at CVS, grrr) come to a quick end. I have been there twice, and both times they said my prescriptions could not be filled, because they "must have been filled at another pharmacy already", but they don't know which one without calling my insurance or the doctor (who were both closed). Complete incompetence doesn't do enough to describe how awful this pharmacy is. There must be something with the management here that trickles down through as they cannot keep any help. The turnover in employees in the pharmacy is non-stop. The average hire lasts about 6 months, so it's constantly new people trying to learn what they are doing. It looks like they must've hit a wall hiring qualified people. Today there wasn't a grown up to be found amongst the entire pharmacy staff. It was all kids a year or two out of school with no management to speak of. I called twice to confirm that my prescription would be ready BEFORE heading down and was assured that it would be ready in an hour. I gave them FIVE hours from the second time I checked on it before heading down and when I got there was told that it wasn't ready and that i had to come back in 25 minutes to get it. After waiting for it, they then told me THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT!!!! No call to say they didn't, just when I showed up, they didn't have it. They told me to go to another CVS in New Britain because they had it in stock and they would transfer the prescription over to that CVS. Guess what?!?! That CVS didn't have it after they sent me on a wild goose chase. This pharmacy is a complete disaster. It's a wonder that all of their pharmacy business hasn't gone across the street to Walgreens. If you are going in here to get a soda and some gummy bears, you'll be fine, but if you need medication you can't get it from these incompetent children. Go elsewhere!!! read more

I was in need of some items and the Walgreens across the street was closed. This CVS didn't seem organized to me but in fairness I've only been to ones in Florida recently. So I got a bit confused looking for one item in particular. The clerk was friendly and helpful. I was able to get my items and was out the door before the Walgreens had even opened their doors. I don't really need a 24 hour store but one that opens early is nice. So this was a great store and in a good location. read more

They have great hours in case you have an emergency, and some of the staff are incredibly nice. Other than those two positives, STEER CLEAR OF THIS PHARMACY. They take forever to fill prescriptions and are completely clueless when it comes to processing electronic prescriptions. Two calls from my doctor and a 75 minute wait later, I finally left with my prescription. read more

They're really friendly and helpful here but the drive thru pharmacy is so slow. Even before COVID I have waited up to half an hour in the drive thru line. I used to work in a CVS pharmacy so I do know that the pharmacy takes longer than the regular lines sometimes, but the wait times are pretty extreme. read more

I don't know if they have a new manager, but the staff both in the pharmacy and the store are MUCH better! Only one star was taken off for the fact that the pharmacy always seemed under-staffed. These poor guys are hauling butt trying to cover drop off, consultation, and pick up counters (along with phone calls and the drive thru). Hopefully they'll receive some help soon. read more

The line doesn't move. Almost all the pharmacists are pretty rude. I've been sitting here for almost 40 minutes for a previously scheduled vaccine appointment. I have seen a lot of aggressiveness and attitude from the staff. It is full and running extremely slow. Customers have been leaving in handfuls upset. read more

I truly enjoy shopping at CVS since the associates are always friendly. In my opinion CVS has the BEST deals when you clip printable coupons on top of their digital coupons. Let's not forget their extra bucks rewards is super convenient and effective towards your next purchase. At times using these methods their products are less than Walmart believe it or not :). They always have their sale items in stock and when I'm browsing there is always an associate to assist me with any concerns. Five stars for sure! read more

I've never had such a horrible experience with a pharmacy in my life! My doc called my prescription in days ago and every time I call the pharmacy everyone tells me something different. I've been on the phone for hours each day, with pharmacy staff (including the manager) giving me so much contradictory information, it's insane. One person says it can be ordered, another says it can't and they don't carry it, yet another says it's at an entirely different CVS pharmacy all together! Now I can't get my medicine, which causes serious withdrawal symptoms, including death and seizures. Well, if I die or experience life threatening withdrawal symptoms, at least my family will receive legal compensation for it! read more

I had a really wonderful experience with this CVS today! Lorene was incredibly helpful with me while I was shopping in the beauty department; she really knew what she was talking about and suggested products that I would actually use. She also let me know about the Beauty Club, which was really useful. Overall, I left the store in a better mood than I was before I went in! I generally have nothing but positive experiences at this store. Their service has really stepped up over the past few years, and it's good to see their employees making an effort to interact with customers in a positive and helpful manner. read more

i was trying to get my daughter prescription filled not know the one on queen st was closed. i was told by the workers that i can go to the main st one an the info would be there in the system. when i got there told the man behind the counter what was going on. he told me no it not here with an attitude. okay then i ask why would an cvs employee send me over here. i was then asked a regular worker im like yes well they are not a pharmacist . okay well all employee should know this info. then he huff me under his breath. im like no he didn't. so the right thing he should of done was apologize for the mistake. i walked away tell him his customer service suck an then i hear him scream excuse me . i just walked away cause he wasn't worth my time. thank to social media im posted this every where. he had short blondish brown hair with an beard. read more

Went to pick up my meds at the window. The staff handed me the board and pen and she turned around right away from me to do something. She handed it a little side ways and did not clip the pen well. The pen dropped out of the board. I told her that the pen dropped while smiling. I guess she thought I did it, she suddenly told me that she only has one pen. I could she through her face that she's furious and was snutty. I was about to tell her that she did it but I dont want to destroy my day for something stupid so I just shut my mouth up. this cvs is horrible!!! there were many occasions where we dropped off our meds to be filled.. come back 4 hours later.. and it still wasn't filled... so we had to sit there waiting another 30mins... one time i saw the pharmacist put a medication that he/she just filled into a bin (the customer wasn't there to pick up).. but yet, there were 8 customers sitting around waiting for their Rx. why are you filling Rx for customers that aren't there when you have people waiting? lack of coordination and priority assessment at this place... i blame management.. they have too many Rx coming in and not enough people to fill it and not enough people to take care of the customers... i left for different pharmacy.. read more
