Thank you, Frank F., an employee put in charge to manage the store while the manager of the pharmacy was not at the store. Frank stepped in and started waiting on people in line at the pharmacy counter. Instead of taking me hours to get the help and prescriptions I needed, it only took about 30 minutes. I arrived at the Belpre CVS to pick up my prescriptions directly after a surgery the same day. The pharmacy line had 25 plus people waiting, and a crowd of people in the front of the pharmacy waiting for various services from the pharmacy. I cannot thank Frank F. enough for stepping to help everyone waiting in line. This CVS is rather large and has a lot of inventory so it's easier to find what you need, including a huge clearance section. The cashier Jakiah was incredibly friendly and upbeat---one of the best I've encountered at a CVS. The location is a bit busy but well staffed. It was clean inside and well maintained. I hate coming to this CVS. I'm constantly racially profile here. Having clerks constantly ask me "If I need anything? " when I'm reading products ingredients, restocking the store aisle I just happen to be in, or watching me from a distance. As someone who gets socially overwhelmed easily, I just left. I won't go anywhere where I'm not welcomed. To add insult to injury, a lot of your reviews are people complaining that they can never find a clerk up front, I wonder why. read more

The line to pick up prescriptions is always super long. Budget 30 minutes to pick things up, and be prepared for chaos and minimal friendliness. Once I waited in the "drop off" line for 40 minutes while they attempted to help the one person ahead of me. I was literally sitting on the floor at the end. I eventually gave up and left and came back another day.Every time I call the pharmacy, I'm on hold for 30+ minutes. Two of my prescriptions say "call the pharmacy to refill"- I've currently been on hold with them for 24 minutes and counting... and it's a random mid-morning weekday, not exactly pharmacy rush hour. It is pretty frustrating and I will shortly be transferring my scripts to another pharmacy. read more

Terrible pharmacy. They NEVER answer the phone. I've been in store where I have seen them just stand there and ignore the phone. They gave me someone else's prescription too. They don't safeguard confidential information. They never have enough employees in store either. I've complained about them so many times, the regional manager had to fly out to this pharmacy and personally handle filling my prescription. They have filled the wrong type of prescription for me as well on numerous occasions. My doctor sent two prescriptions electronically over TWO weeks ago and it still isn't filled. After waiting for over 30 minutes for someone to answer, the pharmacist simple said "I don't know why they haven't been filled but they'll be ready today". She said maybe it was too early to fill them, which isn't possible because it's new prescription that was sent in electronically - not a refill. Super nice employees and the manager should be teaching the managerial course! I never have a problem with the staff In the pharmacy department. I've been going there since I moved into the area - 14 years ago. I tend to go get Rxs filled later in the day when moms and dads are at dinner with or without their children. It's less busy. I've read a few "less than 4 star" review. I had to stop because that's not my experience. My health insurance company has used CVS for many, many years. I have been in healthcare for over 10 years, there is no excuse for this pharmacy. I understand you have 2 lines, and you need 2 people working the pick up line, but the moment when you clear up a line, go help the other person with the longer line. I shouldn't have to tell you "I've seen 3-4 people come in after me, pick up, and leave. You need to open another line." If I could give this 0 stars I would. This is hands-down the worst pharmacy to get a prescription filled at. When filling antibiotic prescriptions I have learned to call ahead - the common question from the pharmacist is "do you need it today?" I mean, come on! The lines are always long and the phones are ringing off the hook - doesn't matter though, they don't pick up. Today I tried calling the pharmacy to confirm that the prescription was ready but I couldn't get through despite sitting on hold for 25 minutes (twice!). When I finally did get through, they told me it would be ready in a half hour. After getting to CVS and standing in line for 45 minutes I still had to wait for an additional 20 minutes. Every, and I mean every order I made was never fulfilled on time. The pharmacist never acknowledged me while I waited in line. I can't count how many times an older person was taken before me without letting me know the reason of why I needed to wait longer. My last visit there was confusion on insurance coverage. After filling the script for months for free, I was confused and was told to go to the consultation line. There was an extremely long line was not about to wait again for my answer. The pharmacist from the pick up area told me to wait by the corner without even speaking to the consultant about my previous situation. I waited after the next person to see that no one was going to help me. I spoke up and the consultant wanted me to wait again in line. I was upset and left. This CVS always seems dirty and dreary. Prescription drop off and pickup takes forever. And the line for drop off puts you in the "feminine care" aisle. You can look at all the pregnancy tests, fertility enhancements, and pregnancy AIDS while you wait. But the fun doesn't stop there! For pick up, the line puts you in the "family planning" aisle. So you can learn how to prevent pregnancy with condoms, plan b, and other fun contraceptives. At least you get a well rounded education... read more

This CVS is fully stocked and quite well organized, and you can find most items you are looking for. I have to give them a low rating, however, due to several very bad experiences with a few staff members -and especially with one of the managers. They have made mistakes (that happens...), but rather than apologize they have been rude about it. Oh God, please bring People's Drug back to Maryland! This is perhaps the worst CVS in Montgomery County. Most of my experience here has been with the pharmacy, and each time has been a disaster. When you drop off a prescription here, you are electing to sacrifice a significant period of your life before you will every see the medication that you need. There is a completely frantic level of activity behind the counter, and I am convinced that the staff are wholly overwhelmed with the number of orders that they have to process. They are probably good people, but the management I suspect is too cheap to hire more help - something that they would do if CVS did not have a virtual monopoly in this area, and if they actually respected their customers. If you have 2-3 hours to kill, go here to fill your script. Otherwise, find a Rite Aid. read more

This CVS sucks like a Trump shutdown. Multiple times I have watched my Dr call in a prescription only to get there and have them tell me they never got it. The last straw was today as I have a child with an ear infection, they dont have the prescription and the clerk rudely runs me out of there because they are closing. Every time I am there at least two other people are having the same issue. And the staff are rude and uncaring to boot. In the past, I would have given this store a 1 or 2 star rating, ESPECIALLY for the pharmacy. The NEW Pharmacist has really changed my mind about this store! Now I am now longer treated like a drug dealer / seaker for just getting my medications that I NEED to walk , function as a "normal " person seems to . I still can't do most things, I.e, stand for long periods of time, run, type, and climb stairs. now, I am given the dignity afforded other people . My scripts are generally filled on time and IF needed Ordered ahead of time , instead of waiting until the day I run out the ordering the medication and making me wait going into withdrawal from the medications and suffering from the pain as well. Instead of making me go from store to store - they called to see if another store had the script for me BEFORE I drove over there only to discover that they didn't- which the Old pharmacist had me doing. Attempted to purchase an item based on the the sale price advertised in both the aisle and on the end of an aisle. Instead of $6 it rang up $11.89. When I showed the manager the sign and he argued that I did not read the sign correctly. The product was directly behind the large sale sign although in very small print it referred to another type of the same poo product. The regular price for the item was behind the sigh. He was very, very rude letting me know I was wrong. He argued all the way to the register then finally said he would sell it to me for $6 insisting it was clearly marked and that I was wrong. walked out. I am reviewing the Pharmacy at this CVS on Bel Pre Rd. in Plaza del Mercado. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs! They are terrible! They are so disorganized and have no idea what they are doing. I drive several miles further to the Norbeck Rd. CVS Pharmacy because they are wonderful there and actually know what they're doing and have your prescription ready in a normal amount of time. Example of why Bel Pre Rd. CVS Pharmacy is the worst - I have tried to change my address there for about 4 years now. I have filled out every form they've given me to change it, multiple times. I have told them every time I go that my address has changed and they say Ok lets get it changed. Well, the next time I go back, it's never right! Right now, it is a combination of my sister's address and mother's address. No idea how that happened. I've never even given them my sister's address..lol Another example of why they are the most incompetent pharmacy ever. They always are backed up and can never find your prescription! Their normal response as to the time it will take is a 2 hour wait. Well one time I said okay, I'll wait for it. I sat down in the waiting area. 2 hours later, I got back in line, got up to the counter, and said my last name, and they told me, Oh it's not ready yet. Really? Really? It's not even a medication that they have to count out pills- it's a ring of pills in a sealed bag, that they only have to place in a CVS baggy and boom it's ready to go! I told them this and they said oh, and someone went and got it. A trick I've learned is to always tell them you will wait for your prescription, even if you are coming back. This generally guarantees it will be ready that same day (several hours later of course). Avoid this pharmacy! read more
