A New Yorker is rating at this location. Super convenient! enough space inside I think it's pretty big compared to to other 7-11 so you don't need to bump into other customers. They also have a machine to copy your key (house key) as well. Store cashiers are pretty friendly. I got icecream here since weather is nice and hot 80F day outside. Had the worst experience with an overnight worker at this specific location I'm not sure what his nationality was, but he did wear glasses and was very aggressive. I had the WORST customer service experience I've ever had in my entire life at this location earlier this evening. I asked for an order of mozzarella sticks and was told that I had to order more than one order, that they wouldn't drop less than 12 (4 pieces is an order). After being refused service by one employee, I asked for his name and the manager and he took off his name badge, walked from behind the counter and said he didn't work there. The other employee saw what was happening and offered to help me. The previous employee confronted the other one about fixing me food then proceed to scold him in a foreign language. A white man came in shortly and the employee who refused to help me literally ran to help the man that just walked in. The white male told the employee that I was in front of him, and the employee said he helped me already. He lied to the man by telling him they were out. Once I got my order, I processed to leave and thanked the employee who helped me and the rude one yelled "next time you don't do it. Don't do anything for black people." I couldn't believe my ears! I asked him to repeat himself and he smiled. I asked if he just said not to help black people and he remained silent. I asked for a refund and stated, "I won't use any of my black dollars here." My expectations going into any 7-eleven is already low. To do even worse than that takes talent, apathy, and just an overall lackadaisical shitty attitude. Its not that hard to acknowledge a customer, especially one that walks up to your cash register wanting to purchase goods. A simple "hello, ill be with you in one minute" will suffice. Instead, like all interactions I have at this establishment, a simple drink purchase tests my patience, my will and often leads to my total loss of faith in humanity. I will start by saying that 7-Eleven, as a company, is a great american blessing. I don't know what I'd ever do without them. THIS 7-E, however, makes me so ungodly angry. There is a woman who works there who goes out of her way to NOT serve my boyfriend and I every time I try to go there. It's been three visits now. The first time, we wanted to trade in a couple of scratch off tickets. She told us no. point blank, "no, i have customers." So we walked to the McDonalds next door, got a burger, and came back when the entire place was empty. She took our trade in tickets, started processing them, and then, before she gave us our money, she started ignoring us AGAIN. I said, "Excuse me, can I just get my four bucks? i don't even want to buy a ticket anymore." And she YELLED at me: "I told you i had customers and if i had customers i didn't have time for this! I told you! don't act like i didn't tell you!" The next customer in line, who she was ignoring us for, walked over and made a nice, lengthy PowerBall purchase, choosing numbers very carefully. She made a nice point of giving him her undivided attention. It took fifteen minutes of standing there to get the four dollars I was rightfully owed. I will NEVER go back there again--and if I ever do, it's going to be to retrieve that woman's name and call the Maryland Lottery authority, to let them know that their retailers are REFUSING to serve customers. BEWARE. 7-Eleven can be such a wonderful thing. This one is being run into the ground, and doing the company at large no favors. By the way: the only reason it has one star is so you would be aware I deemed it that bad, and didn't forget to put stars altogether. This is not an ideal location for a 7-11. After midnight, nightfolk like myself have no problem turning across three lanes of Rockville pike to get into the private lot, but during the day, with traffic to navigate, it would be best to head to Marinelli and turn left with the light and go through the McDonald's parking lot. The interior is a little bit dated, but the staff keeps it clean. There are eight Slurpee flavors, and the usual cornucopic bordering-on-hedonistic-and-confession-inducing sinfulness in the bright panoply of colored cellophane wraps. I must confess, I did not actually go in to this particular 7-11 the evening of this review, as there was a middle-aged gentleman panhandling out front and asking folks for change. This has actually happened once before (same guy I think) in the half dozen or so times I've been to this location over the past couple years. I must confess I decided to head over to another 7-11 merely because another sun-fearing resident such as myself engaged him (the bum, although he (the bum) denies that label) in a questioning manner about the purpose he (the aforementioned vagabond) would put any donated money towards. I didn't want to be a witness to a World-Star hip hop video, so I left and went over onto Rollins ave. -2 stars for scary derelicts and a parking lot access system so Byzantine it puts the Labyrinth on notice. +1 star for having a pay phone around the corner. Went there today for a Big Gulp. I walked out, tasted my drink - and walked right back in. I told the cashier that the soda mixer wasn't working properly. My Coke Zero looked right, but it tasted like water. He refused to let me trade my full, un-consumed watery Big Gulp for a soda from the fridge, but he grudgingly let me dump out my beverage and try again. So I tried Dr Pepper. I live in the condos off Rockville Pike, and I must say, of all the 7-Elevens in the area, this one is, by far, among the better ones. Their food is fresh (yes, even at night), they're coffee is fresh, and if you ask the employees to make a new pot (or flavor) they will (at least they did for me). The employees, although not masters in english literature/linguistics, have time and time again, accommodated my needs whether it be a fresh pot of coffee or a pizza or a cheesburger big bite, which i must say, i love. Lastly, I've noticed that the manager or perhaps the owner is very often helping out the homeless community in the area. I know, the infamous, Robert (army retiree), and i see him their very often, I asked him if he just hangs out here for fun, he told me that the owner gives him free food. If thats true, I find that this 7-Eleven exceptional from all the others, as they would tend to hush away the homeless. In any case, keep up the good work. read more

I have gone to 7-11 to pickup a cup of coffee or a slurpee. The parking can be difficult since the lot fills up from other businesses. This place is good for getting fast food quickly. The coffee is okay, the fountain drinks are good. read more

I too love 7-11 and frequent them always buying coffee and their mini beef tacos. However, I will not return to this location. I ordered 8 tacos, and didn't mind waiting for them to be cooked since I like them piping hot anything anyways. While I was waiting i asked for a bag for the other items I'd bought, and he told me it'd be 5 cents. I get bags all the time and have never had to pay for them, in fact they're usually offered to me (he never offered one) so of course I was confused. He then proceeded to say how its been the law for 5 years... well it was rude of him to assume everyone who enters the store would know this, especially near a military hospital that I'm sure has a plethora of out of town visitors that wouldn't know this, but also because I'm a Virginia resident and have never shopped in MD. Either way, I paid my change and went on my merry way. I got halfway down the road when I started eating them and I realized that only 2 of the 8 tacos were actually kinda hot, the rest were still frozen. Now I have 6 frozen tacos, nowhere to heat them up (and no time to go back to the store), and I'm still hungry. Update: When I got home 3 hours later I heated the tacos up. They would've been great, except for the fact that I asked for beef, saw he charged me for chicken, confirmed he heated up beef, and inevitability received chicken. Worst service ever. read more

Never got a call from the franchise owner or consultant like customer service said I would. Overheard an employee complaining about how poorly they are treated with hardly any days off. After dining with my husband and son, my husband went to run an errand and didn't realize I didn't have my phone or money on me. We got separated and I walked back home with my son. On the way I asked the employees if I could use the phone and they said I could use the card system in a phone in the back. I mentioned I did not have money on me and they did not let me use the phone. They even laughed at me when I mentioned that I did not have money to call and that my husband would be worried. The store got a face-lift, I was hoping the service would too. I have been a regular (2-3 times per week) to pick up coffee and a banana before work. The service is ALWAYS terrible. There has not been one time that there has not been a LONG line. There is never enough staff to handle the morning rush, what I assume is there prime time, and the staff on hand makes no effort to speed things up. The wait is always at least 5 minutes, often more. in line. And today, no A/C. If I have to wait that long, I'll go to Starbucks. read more
