New garage parking system requires getting ticket from the machine. IT IS VERY ANNOYING. It is hard to reach the machine. You have to pull very hard to get the ticket. And you don't have to pay anything. You don't need even validation! So what purpose does the system have? The building will become partially residential condo or apartment, and new parking system is related to that development. It's nothing to do with Wegman's shoppers. Make parking free as it used to be! read more

It's been a whole year since Wegman's has been opened?! It's definitely my grocery store of choice but I will say that their prices are still quite high and inventory can be hit or miss depending on what time you go in to shop. Usually any time 9 pm or after, I've noticed the produce wasn't fresh. The employees are very helpful though. A lot of them are happy to assist and will look things up for you if you're looking for a particular item. For the most part, the store is clean however I did find a grasshopper that jumped on me a few weeks ago in the fruit section. read more

I don't know how to just drive by a Wegmans. If I see the sign, I'm going inside. I love Wegmans. The produce section is great. There are a lot of choices for plant based or "fake meat" items. The cheeses. The cheeses. So many to investigate. I don't purchase many household items (baggies, cleaning supplies, to) at Wegmans. There are so many wonderful products to look over. This place is like Whole Foods marrying Harris Teeter and having little baked goods babies. Worth a visit (or 10). read more

I had to check out the new Wegmans since Germantown is a lot farther for me. If you decide to shop here, dl the app or stop by the service desk for a coupon book. Rn there is a $5 coupon if you spend over $35. Same layout concept as other Wegmans but let's talk about inflation! I used to splurge on their speciality sushi rolls. $14.99?!! Their deli counter... is expensive!! 18.99 per pound for an off brand pastrami??! All of their deli meats are non brand staffs. I love Dietz Watson or Boars Head brands. They used to carry it. The Produce here looks sad. Prices about the same as other stores. Of course they have more self checkouts but they also have cashiers to ring you up. All employees I encountered were friendly. However, Ill stick with Amazon Fresh, or MOMs. Another gripe, is that they dont sell alcohol unlike NOVA Wegmans where they carry beer and wine. MoCo needs to get with the program.. im tired of going all over .. Maybe one day. They'll make it happen. Parking is free, no time restrictions. They are across the street from Congressional Plaza. read more

Wegmans - My mini me thought this was cool lol ... - Grocery Near Me - Rockville, Maryland

We don't have Wegmans near us so it was fun to check this location out. It's on the second level so you have to park below then take an escalator or elevator up. Not so fast when everyone is moving at a snail's pace. They have a grab and go self checkout area near a cafe and public restrooms. Then, once you're in the heart of the store, they have impressive displays of heat and eat options. Then it morphs into the traditional aisles and dairy/grocery. The prices were okay and they had a huge selection. The store itself was pretty big. More self checkout over on the aisle side as well. Plenty of employees walking around to help with things and restocking too. Really loved the mini train they set up. read more

I shop here weekly at my favorite store. Unfortunately, I noticed several things when I shop here weekly. 1. Staff Not friendly when they encounter patrons. They should be trained by their store mgr good customer service. 2. The meals to go ready to pop in the oven was extremely limited plus the dairy milk shelves especially mid-day at 1:58pm. This is terrible store as you should always restock your dept shelves as it's Not closing yet at 2pm. 3. The cashier never greeted me or use the word "Thank You". 4. Customer Service associate stated that perishable items aren't returnable or refundable when the product is over ripe like avocado but no place on receipt stated as a list of terms and agreements as son's other supermarkets list them. All other supermarkets like Trader Joe's or WFM, or Giant will be happy to refund that over ripe avocado without disputing by the associate at Wegman's.¢ The store is bigger than WFM down the street which I love especially with 2 hours free garage parking. Store mgr and leadership team needs to revisit on retraining all their staff members on exceptional customer service skills especially using these words: Thank You Hello How May I help you? Have a smiley face I am going to protest Wegman's as staff very toxic no one I encountered smile. read more

I am a little biased towards Wegmans as I went to college in Rochester, NY and frequented the store in Henrietta back in the late 80s/early 90s. I recall they had a huge video rental store and the only place that had Maryland blue crabs. But as a poor college kid, it was an expensive grocery store but cherished it when I could afford it. Fast forward to now, I do frequent their Germantown location and on occasion their Gainsville, VA location as I used to drive to Culpeper, VA for work. I love the alcohol section in the Gainsville location- it's huge! The Rockville location is smaller than those other location by a third. I think the main focus of this store is the prepared foods and specialty meats and cheeses as they occupy the most space in this store. Yes, this place is pricey, especially their cookie bar, pizza slices and hot food bar. Their pizza slices cost more than Whole Foods. Still a fan of their wing bar, but their pizza and subs need some improvement. I love their mild brie cheese and various selections of cheeses and meats. This location is only a few minutes from my house! I know the parking garage sucks, but what can you do. I would probably avoid coming here on the weekends if parking stresses you out. read more

I was really excited to check out Wegmans after seeing so many positive reviews online. I think I may have gone in with high expectations, but overall, it felt a bit overhyped--maybe just the buzz of a new grocery store in town. To start, the store has a large parking garage, which sounds convenient in theory. But in practice, I found it pretty confusing and a bit disorganized. There were staff directing traffic on the weekend, but they didn't seem to be helping much beyond pointing cars around. I eventually figured out that Level 2 on the ground floor had more open spaces and was easier to park in. Inside, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the self-checkout process was quick and smooth, which I appreciated. The store itself was spacious, clean, and fully stocked. My biggest surprise at Wegmans was the pricing. Some popular items--like prepared meals, cakes, and ready-to-cook foods--were quite expensive. For example, I saw a pack of asparagus with butter for grilling priced at $12, which felt excessive. Overall, I didn't find good value in many of these offerings. On the flip side, some of Wegmans' private-label products and basic groceries were competitively priced. White eggs, for instance, were $2.99--cheaper than the $3.99 price at Trader Joe's across the street. We also got & tried some of Wegmans' frozen meals and cheese, which were just okay in terms of taste. Overall, Wegmans probably won't become my go-to grocery store, but I can see myself stopping by now and then to pick up a few specific items. I'd also recommend signing up for a membership online before your visit so you can access digital coupons and save a few bucks. read more

This is a good location of Wegmans, and we finally have one in Rockville. The store is similar to other Wegmans - lots of options for everything on your grocery list. Additionally, there are many fresh food sections - lunch bowls, sushi, sandwiches, etc. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. There is ample parking in the garage and getting to the store is easy. Definitely a good addition to the area! read more

Always feel like I'm under surveillance here with the cameras and security guards. It's also annoying when they come around and tell you the cafe closes at 9 pm when they could just put up a sign. Fortunately there are other grocery stores in the area. read more

Beautiful, new grocery store with great hours (6:00 am - midnight). Garage parking is free if you leave within 2 hours. We've only been here once since it opened, and it has a nice selection of fresh and packaged products. There are different areas where workers are making sandwiches, pizzas, bowls and sushi. There's a bar for wings, soup and hot Asian entrees but, surprisingly, no salad bar. We got a lobster bisque at the soup bar and I have to say it was as good (better actually) than lobster bisques I've had at fancy seafood restaurants. The medium bowl was $8, and was worth it. Plenty to share. I got a spinach wrap with tuna and choice of fixins - I kept it simple with tomato, lettuce, cucumber and hot pepper relish. They have three price points for the sandwiches and I expected this was going to be more that the under $6 I paid (small sandwich). My partner got a small beef and turkey sandwich with choice of fixins. Nice size for under $6. The workers at the sandwich station were friendly and helpful. The sushi makers were also hard at work. I asked the sandwich person when they stop making sandwiches and he told me 8:00 pm. Looks like a really nice store. Also not a bad place to have a quick lunch if you're in the neighborhood. read more

Unfortunately I am biased cuz I was born and raised in Rochester ny, but I love wegmans! Large enough store, clean, large amounts of employees. And well stocked . They will have almost it not all random niche items you need. I wish wegmans was a little cheaper yet but they are an amazing employer. 9/10 people in Rochester have worked for wegmans. The food quality is great imo (including produce and bakery items) and they partner with local farmers (afaik). Their wegmans brand cinnamon ice cream is to die for. Cashiers are very pleasant and always helping. I love coming to wegmans. It feels like home away from home read more

Can't believe I'm the first one to review Wegmans! I love this store and I'm so happy that they brought one to Rockville!! So many quick meals and fresh produce. Came here to buy groceries for dinner today and I just went to the premade food section cause the idea of buying all the ingredients to make a dinner just seamed too exhausting. I got meatloaf, sweet potatoes, and fried chicken. The meatloaf is okay... though the fried chicken here is the best grocery store fried chicken I've ever had... though I've only had Giant and Safeway... so that's not saying much. Now I did try to make it seem like I cooked dinner instead of just getting pre-made shit but my wife saw through my ruse. read more

The good thing is it's nice to have a Wegmans closer in the DMV besides the one in Germantown. The big downside? The prices are crazy -- honestly, not really worth it for the quality or taste. Whole Foods actually does better in comparison. Parking is another headache -- it's a total zoo, and you need to plan an extra 20 minutes just to get in, out, and navigate the escalators. Sandwiches and bread are pretty meh, but the seafood, like branzini and salmon, is solid read more

Wegmans in Fredericksburg is great. Wegmans in Rockville is ok. The main reasons for me are the parking and the fact that Fresh Market is right across the street with superior PRIME steaks and fresh seafood and produce and easy parking. Wegmans in Fredericksburg somehow seemed like it offered bargains. Not in Rockville. Fresh Market wins, only variety and volume is where Wegmans beats Fresh Market. read more

Previously, I shopped routinely at this Wegmans store and have made several attempts to get assistance from the deli counter. Even though 3 individuals were socializing behind the counter, I could not get service. When I approached the counter, they would walk away. The only time I received service was from a female employee. It seems they hire DEI employees who refuse to serve the customer. In May, I complained to the floor manager, who seems quit annoyed that I brought the subject up that I was not getting assistance. He approached me with aggressive body language and an angry disposition. This act of being stared down makes me feel incredibly intimidated and uncomfortable. His resolution is to persuade me with a $10 payoff to walk away, which I did not accept. No apologies. I then called customer service (800) 934-6267 they took my information. No follow-up! read more

Nasty fresh produced with molds and old vegetables that's been ignored by the lazy employees.

I had a ball visiting the new Wegmans on Rockville Pike and I must say it's great. The store is beautiful, well-stocked, and a welcome addition to the area. The employees inside are incredibly helpful, courteous, and clearly take pride in their work. You can tell customer service is a top priority here. Also there pre-made meals are absolutely delicious but overall this store is a great addition to the area . read more

As someone who grew up where Wegmans was founded and went to Wegmans weekly, I'm a little disappointed by this location. They have all the food stations I know and love, but the service at the food stations (specifically the sub station) is almost always so slow. It once took 15 minutes to receive a cold sub, where I was the second person in line. The amount of meat in the subs is insulting and nothing in comparison to what it used to be, especially for the price we are paying. I once asked for a little more meat, since I literally had one piece of turkey on it, and was told it was extra, as I watched the employee add one more piece! I asked for the price of this "extra" meat, and was told "don't worry about it". At other food stations, I'm standing there waiting for an employee to notice and assist. I do appreciate the abundance of parking and love the convenience of curbside pickup. Recently, the curbside shoppers though, have messed up or even completely missed items. I also think the garage exit needs to be clearly marked. Almost everytime I leave, people in the right hand lane turn LEFT, almost crashing into me. There is one faded arrow indicating direction, because apparently no one knows the rules of the road. I love Wegmans but feel there could be some improvement at this location. read more

I'm very happy to have a Wegmans location on Rockville Pike! I am biased as I really like Wegmans to begin with but it's great to have one so close, and not have to drive to the (albeit larger) Germantown location. I like that I can go pick up a quick lunch or just a smaller amount of groceries that I need that day over lunch. The parking garage took some getting used to - I recommend driving down below G1 for ample and smooth parking vs. circling around G1 when it is crowded. read more

The store accepted my SNAP card earlier today at 9:49am, receipt attached.. But at 1:49pm or so the Point of Sales register stated unavailable. I noticed a (White. Manager walk up and whisper something to some workers, as the cashier was checking out my items. The name Ed was on his name badge. Suddenly the POS register stated something to info unavailable). Ed id' himself as Front End Coordinator after I asked. The other employee at customer service desk name was afraid to give the Front End Manager's name so I waited for him to return to the area. Also, I observed one other women being denied SNAP card usage at POS register. One more thing, Note, asI returned to ask the manager in charge.name, a women was standingĺ at customer svc counter I said miss, she kept insisting she is a boy when I called her miss, I will not use any pronoun because my issue is the POS register and nothing else. That's another whatever for another time. I've observed African Americans spend over $300. at a time. I would say we are great Wegmans consumers. read more

Ridiculously overpriced, low quality pre-packaged meals and food, and fewer healthy organic selections. Salad bar is sloppy, not well maintained while the pizza area is same- not set up to be in a warm space after baking but sits out in the open cold. The bathrooms are also unsanitized and not cleaned daily, with a musky smell that lingers no matter what time of day. The people ....well...everyone these days seem tired and in a daze. The same with many of the food handling employees. Profit over priorities and not for the environmentally conscious and those with high health standards and values. Amerikkk!!!! read more

Staff is poorly trained. I stood at the sandwich bar for 5 minutes three staff members continued making sandwiches without acknowledging me. I left and one of them went over to assist a friend of hers who stopped by for lunch. He appeared to be a man who worked there, possibly maintenance because they were laughing and chatting. I was very offended. You're there to serve the public not just your friends! read more

This location does not have a grill/hamburger bar, although it does have a sandwich bar, wing bar, Asian bar, and a huge bakery. Tons of seating in the dining area. Asian bar and wing bar are open 11-2 and 4-7 so if you are there from 2 to 4 you are out of luck. PIzza wing dept cooks to order as well as premade cold items including pizza slices and whole pizza, both to reheat and to bake at home. Many entrees ready to go, some are cooked and just need to be reheated, some need to be baked from scratch. I previously got amazing cheese bread from a different location but I did not see it at this location so I don't know if iti has been discontinued. They should bring it back if so. The cranberry walnut muffins are mindblowing. Sold individually or packs of 4,, worth every penny and every calorie. In store bakery is endless, ,with emphasis on the dessert side of bakery more than its savory counterpart, although there is plenty of fresh bread as well. High end butcher shop as good as any steakhouse excetp you have to cook it yourself, but the original raw cuts are basically the same. Vast artisan cheese selection, bigger than whole foods. Sushi is on the expensive side but excellent, very fresh and authentic. Prices on regular food that is not prepared in store are actually reasonable. $5.99 for a gallon of apple cider, cheapest I've seen anywhere especially in March. Limited selection of pet food and other non-food items. Wegmans is great for entertaining. High quality disposable plates and napkins and a separate entertaining section for serving utensils, etc. Best enjoyed if you are hungry and you treat it like a restaurant. Prices for ready to eat food are comparable to a restaurant, with more selection and more control over quantities, and without the ingredient restrictions of whole foods. Prices for equivalent items at whole foods seemn comparable but Wegmans can be as creative as it wants whereas whole foods is restricted in what it can sell by ingredient restrictions. IMO Customers should be able to decide for themselves what they are comfortable biuying and eating, but of course people will say no one is forcing you to go to whole foods and they aren't pretending to be something they aren't which is true. Wegmans sells plenty of wholesome, healthy stuff but realizes customers want something quick and easy and filling occasionally. read more

Wegman's is a great addition to the Pike. Don't try to park on the street as its mostly for pickups. There is a 2-3 level underground parking. We shopped here several times since its inception. (4) ~ very good overall conventional grocery store & service. Notes: It's smaller than the one in Germantown but should have most of the items you want. Despite being a fan and patron of many Wegman stores in many locations for over 30 years , the Rockville Maryland is a complete disappointment. . . and no one even in Rochchester New York seems to care. After three visits, I found the staff friendly but agitated and poorly trained. Twice I ended up bringing this to the store's attention to a brusk uncaring dude named Mark who somehow feels he's some sort of God's gift to customer servicing and gave snotty replies to my questions. The Rockville Wegmans is OK. It is in an existing building, not one built specifically for Wegmans, so it is only ~1/3-1/2 the size of the store in Germantown or Chantilly. There are therefore some items stocked by these stores that are not at the Rockville store and the layout is different than a typical Wegmans. But the bakery and produce section are as big as a standalone Wegmans. When I went there at 9AM on a Saturday, there were twice as many employees walking around as customers, so it must be intended primarily for Instacart type shoppers, not for foot traffic. There were ten checkout lines, none of which were open so I had to check out a basket full of groceries in the self checkout. read more

Since it was the night before the 4th, I was expecting festive florals & plants and balloons at the entrance. This is the store that knows how to satisfy the rabid viewing and tailgating habits of Buffalo Bills fans- I know they know how to display Red, White and Blue. Nothing. Went to the bakery to ask if there were any Fourth of July flag decorated cookies. The bakery guy shook his head and in a disapproving manner. There was one flower with red, white and blue frosting and one sprinkle cookie. I'll never know if they had some and ran out or if this isn't a store to come to in order zhush up 4th of July celebrations. I asked someone if they knew where I could find a product was and they shook their head and kept on walking by. I asked another person if they knew where the hot dog and hamburger buns were and they responded with perfect Wegmans' precision complete with eye contact and a smile. They also said they were from the King of Prussia store. Yay! They completely ran out of hot dogs rolls so I put the coneys back. There wasn't anyone at the beef counter so I picked up some prepackaged choice steaks and ground beef. There were long lines at check out so, I was second guessing my decision to try a shrimp and crab boil pot the entire time. Anyway, the cashier included 2 items from the order behind me so, I gave the items to shopper in order to just get out of there.
