The drive thru opens 15 minutes late. The girl is eating breakfast as she attempted to assist customers. Greasing fingers on the medication. Do they realize they are in an upper middle class area yet they provide low class service? This is EVERY DAY. Not isolated. Awful and sad. Sure miss Rite aide staff and service. read more

I can't pinpoint why I like this store. Maybe it's the new look it has. Or maybe the friendly staff. Maybe it's the well stocked shelves. Maybe all the above. Well what ever it is,it's nice to go into a store that is well kept,clean,and well stocked. The parking lot is huge,partially because they share it with a bunch of other stores. Stores like Target,and Bed Bath and Beyond. There are also a mess of places to eat as well. I think if you happen to be in the area or maybe live near this store,I would check it out. If I could give zero stars I would....TERRIBLE customer service. Kathy told me over the phone script would be ready in 30 min and hung up on me, I arrive in store because I know how slow the drive thru is, what a surprise it's still not ready 1.5 hours later!!!! Took another 20 min of me standing there waiting. I loathe having to come here!! Every prescription takes a half a day for them to fill. I've never had an experience when a dr sends over the prescription and by the time I get to the pharmacy it's not ready and they need hours to fill it!!! This place sucks! I had my anti acid medication refilled and there was a foreign pill for ED thrown in the mix. We don't know how often these happen but people must check their pill stock before consumption. Errors like this could cost someone's life. I don't trust them. read more

I use this Pharmacy because it's convenient. The drive thru comes in handy and is practically essential to a mom or dad who is normally coming in for a prescription for a child who is most likely in the back seat with a fever. I'm not sure how to put this....but this Pharmacy is.....busy. It's busy with a certain demographic that lives at say......Leisure World. And let's just say that this demographic is slightly slower than most busy moms....and maybe takes their time doing......everything. So if you have to pick a pharmacy and it's not essential for a drive-thru, I would skip this one. read more

Hark, my CVS grading rubric (for the store, not the pharmacy): Star 1: Yes - It's new and it's purdy. Star 2: Yes - It's clean and it's organized. Star 3: No - It has way less grocery selection than Rite Aid or Walgreens. Star 4: No - Half the sale stickers are regular prices. Half the regular stickers are marked up. And finally... Star 5: Heck No. I have yet to shop in this store without having to listen to the employees argue with each other. It's getting kind of bizarre. Someone needs to stage a serious team-building intervention here. read more

This location is GREAT!! The store is newly remodeled and looks absolutely fabulous (Ab Fab) and their staff proved to be friendly & helpful. Everything is clearly labeled on their aisle signs so it's super easy to find things. While in their for some Sudafed, I stumbled across some of my favorite hair products (Bumble & Bumble) which was really weird--but I wouldn't buy them there. They're not cheap to begin with and it seems that CVS marked them up another $2-4!! Anyway, they had a ton of other products that were all reasonably priced. *OH* and while buying my Sudafed I handed the dude my driver's license (they're supposed to take your ID cuz you can't buy the "real stuff" more than once a month now due to all of the Meth Heads) he didn't even take my ID!! I guess that's pretty sweet if you're a Meth Head...I was just glad bcuz that meant me getting outta there even faster. *newsflash* this just added: I totally forgot to mention that when you don't have med. insurance they give you a discount if you've got a AAA membership! I really like this place because it's on my way to work and i can pick up some redbull for my and my buddies. It's usually never crowded and most of the time i get in and out. It's convenient to have but sometimes they don't have enough employees and i would have to wait a while to get rung up. I don't use the pharmacy, but i heard it's alright. I wish it was open 24 hours.....Yeh.....FAIL. I needed toilet paper to go TP my friends house because i was really bored one time and they weren't open so i couldn't buy cheap toilet paper! I was furious! Sometimes stock gets a little low and i have to buy an alternate, which sort of disappoints me, but doesn't really bother me. Also what is pretty cool is that if you do need to use the pharmacy, there is a drive-through for that. read more

Apparently being a pharmacist is a rough job. Almost like working retail! I decided to sit and wait for my refill. I knew it would take awhile, but I really need the meds so I waited. While I waited in the chairs they had available on the right-hand side of the counters I viewed and examined a number of customer interactions. Some left happy, some left frustrated, and some left indifferent. The reoccurring interactions pharmacists had at the counter are as follow: -there were customers who knew their prescriptions were ready and the pharmacists could easily find them. They quickly paid for them and left out the door satisfied. -then there were the guests that were not so happy. Mostly because the pharmacist could not find their prescriptions even though they received a text message confirmation from CVS saying their prescription was ready (this one I found bazar because it happens 3 times while I was waoting). -The other unhappy guess were the ones that realized their insurance plans did not cover the medication they needed and it was very frustrating because they had no idea that there was a changed in their insurance or when they dropped off the prescription in the first place no one told them it was going to be pricey. Pharmacists play an important part in our daily lives ... Sometimes the pharmacists have a bad attitude .... Sometimes its customers with bad attitudes ... Let's all try to remember to be patience, be kind, and communicate clearly. read more

Booooooo! The pharmacy is severely understaffed. Every time my doctor calls a prescription in for me I am told I have to wait when I arrive to pick it up. It doesn't matter if my doc called it in three hours ago or the day before - I still have to wait. Last time I went in, I heard the pharmacy cashier telling the customer next to me that although the pharmacy had called him twice to say that his medication would be there for him to pick up, the truth was that that pharmacy would not be able to get his medication again..ever! What the??? Then, as I sat waiting for my prescription to be ready, I saw two other customers come through complaining that they had a scheduled pick up time hours earlier and didn't understand why their meds STILL weren't ready. On top of all that, the new CVS internet prescription refill system has some serious bugs. My most recent visit to CVS was the last straw. I'm moving on to a mom and pop shop that can offer better service... read more

When your general practitioner send a prescription to a CVS Pharmacy electronically, that prescription becomes the property of CVS! they wont make you a copy of it, they REFUSED to do it.. But the girls at CVS did give me a choice, Pay $62 PER PILL or go back to my Doctor for a NEW Prescription, aren't they nice?... This place is absolutely horrible in terms of service. The quickie mart of pharmacies. No one there smiles. They all look like they just bit into a rotten peach. They will not lift a finger to help and seem to have a massive chip on their shoulders. Today I tried to get a prescription filled for my wife. I had to run back to the Dr 3 times until the Dr finally changed from his original painkiller to the drug of CVS's choice. They would not call him or fax him. One excuse after another. I honestly think my wife would be better off with a shot of whiskey to dull the pain. I will never return to this location read more

This has to be the slowest drive-through ever! Kept on calling trying to get operation hours for the drive-through because I was sitting for over 10 minutes for one fxxxx car To move up. Drive-throughs should be for pick up and there should be a separate drop off drive-through. While in line I called the pharmacy department to ask them what was going on and the girl explained to me that they were doing a refund and it was taking a little while. Refunds should be done inside the store not through a drive-through a drive-through keep things moving. read more

I visit this cvs location out of convenience, and not by choice, for the following reasons: 1. staff - if they aren't completely incompetent or have no concern about their customers needs, they're probably screwing around watching every and ANY young girl with a purse assuming they are shoplifting. to be targeted as a shoplifter is one of the most dehumanizing acts I believe a store GEARED toward 'customer service' could do to a shopper. the ONLY store employee who actually is of any use to anyone is a girl in her early 20's with bleached blonde hair. 2. selection/stock - the selection is substandard and has an almost 1 to 2 dollar markup compared to the Target within the same shopping center... i feel pigeonholed into purchasing merchandise i dont need or do not necessarily want - merely out of convenience. 3. pharmacy - never had a problem until i heard one of the oh so professional techs saying some crude remarks and pointing at a woman who was exiting the store. what a joke. read more

Worst experience ever! Karen Guerra is not management material. She is unprofessional, unqualified and has no customer service skills. CVS was NOT FOUNDED ON CUSTOMER VALUE AND SERVICE AS THEY CLAIM. If you try to return an item with a receipt they try and send you to the CVS which you purchased the item. They need to revamp the return policy if they are unwilling to stick to it. They are not honest. And like to slander their loyal customers. I am so unhappy with the level of service. I am going to pursue and official complaint and will seek legal advice if this is not taken care of. BEWARE OF KAREN GUERRA OF SEAL BEACH CVS SEAL BEACH BLVD STORE. This place is just absolutely terrible! I have to use cvs because my insurance switched to them 2 years ago so I am stuck. I've been coming here for 2 years now and NOT ONCE have they ever got my prescriptions correct or billed properly. I can not send my wife nor anyone else to get my prescriptions because there is always an issue. Always! I finally had to ask on my last visit if they were all stupid there and the lady seemed offended. Sorry but 2 years later they have not even tried to improve customer service. I use an annual coupon to get a huge discount on a drug I don't want in generic form. They have a copy and they tell me it's logged in the computer. What a joke. I would guess they all lack highly in training and truly no one cares. Bad Customer has no consequences here obviously because it just continues. Walgreens never ever had an issue with this in 20 years but I can't switch! I'm stuck with bad service I guess it's the norm here. read more

Now that I've done business with CVS Pharmacy in both Texas and Seal Beach, there is no comparison in the quality of customer service that you get in these two locations. While the volume is probably much greater in Seal Beach vs. the Bulverde CVS in San Antonio, the staffing is far more efficient in Texas. I have been promised more than a few times that a prescription would be ready in 30 minutes in Seal Beach, and then it's been an hour and half or more. It's not the employees, it's the management and poor business sense of the way they are staffing and running the store both in the Pharmacy Dept. and the general check out counter. Rite Aid recently went in across the street...CVS stands to lose a lot of business with their sub standard customer service if they don't revisit their action of business and volume of unhappy and frustrated customers. The two Stars would be four for the Staff. Very nice and helpful. Then minus two Stars for the Pharmacists. They change your Medication to the Cheapest Generic Brand or something that they can sell as the same without telling you. So check your Perceptions before you leave the Counter. read more

If I could give negative stars I would because this is the worst pharmacy in the history of pharmacies. You will wait for your prescription, no matter how many days ago you called the prescription in. I completely agree with the many reviews about them telling me my prescription will be ready in 15 minutes, but an hour later I'm still sitting there and they hadn't touched my prescription until I complained about how long I've been there. Let's just say there will be a lot of people transferring to the new Rite Aid across the street. Otherwise, the store is fine but generally understaffed. read more

If you're trying to print pictures this is not the place. I tried emailing it through the app, gave me the wrong size. Tried WiFi, their WiFi didn't work, tried the cable, and gave me a receipt without a barcode. There was a nice Caucasian guy at the register who tried to help but didn't seem to be familiar with the system. He called a Hispanic guy who came and looked beyond annoyed, he started helping me and then started helping another customer for about 5 minutes and her pictures, which I thought was rude. Review for Pharmacy section. Drugstore section has been fine in my limited dealings with them; their regular prices are high but if you get the CVS frequent buyer card you'll get many a halfway decent coupon in the mail. Note: pharmacy purchases count toward the frequent buyer program. When CVS first took over from Sav-on in early 2006 this store at least went from "a little bit better than Rite Aid" to "I can't believe this is a chain good". Over the least few months it's really been sliding. Basic prescriptions and renewals still work fine most of the time, but if you have to have a prescription phoned in be prepared to a) keep checking on it; and b) have it take multiple iterations with the doctor's office till you actually get the prescription filled. Occasional problems also with their being out of stock on some fairly common meds; it's near impossible when that happens to figure out when the resupply truck is actually going to be there. If anyone has a better suggestion for pharmacy here in geezer/married with children land, yelp away about it! TNX, Scott read more

Crystal in the pharmacy dept is great! Not so much for the others! I've been trying to get a refill for the last week and understand that it had to go thru the doctors office. However after calling their office personally to confirm they approved the refill, CVS insisted on two separate calls they didn't receive it. When I called CVS back, the same lady (not Crystal!) put me on hold for 25 minutes! I think she thought she could get rid of me by burying me on phone hold. I called back on another line and Crystal was able to help me immediately. Unfortunately I didn't get the other ladies names so I could complain to manager. So all I can say is hope Crystal is working the day you need something! I ended up having to make 4 phone calls and on hold for probably an hour total and oh by the way, it took 7 days to get my refill even with all of my calling. read more

Stay away, stay away, stay away! I wish I could give negative stars to this pharmacy. I hate it so much! I speak only to THIS particular CVS. The people who work there are absolutely incompetent (well, there is one nice lady). I have consistently had problems with rude service, misquoted pickup times, and lost insurance records. Why I kept my prescription there until now speaks my laziness, lol. This last experience was the last straw. I received a call that my prescription had been refilled, but I was out of town for the weekend. I received another call (2 days later) and went to pick the prescription up when I returned 2 days later. That's 4 days folks and when I arrived, I was informed that they had reshelved my meds. Mind you, this is something that is prepackaged, so how hard is it to just go pick up a packet? 30 minutes was when I should come back. Well, from past experience, I know that 30 minutes does not mean 30 minutes with these people, so I came back in an hour. When I got there, I stood at the counter, about a foot away from it. Five minutes go by, no one asks if I need help, though they saw me. They call another customers name to let her know her prescription is ready. A minute later, she comes up, steps right in front me even though I am in line, stands there for about 30 seconds, the people give her the same look-up-from-what-I'm-doing that they gave me, but what do you know, "Can I help you?" My jaw drops! I'm not particularly a confrontational person, so I let them help the woman who cut me and then have to say, "excuse me, I'm here to pick up" after she walks away to get help. No, "oh I'm sorry!" from the woman who saw me almost 10 minutes ago. Un.Believe.Able! read more

It was much, much better when it operated as Sav-on. If rating the pharmacy only, I would only give it one star, because the people working in the pharmacy here are rude and stupid, which is why we convinced our insurance carrier to allow us to use Target's pharmacy instead of this 'preferred provider' pharmacy. The only things I ever buy here are makeup and health and beauty items, which is okay compared to the rest of the store. read more

Seriously, it's a drug store, and I had to buy immodium (not for me) and nobody looked at me funny, so that's a plus. But again, that's not why we're here. I'm using this as an excuse to write about the parking lot for this mall that includes Ralphs, Targe', Starbucks, Rubios, Jamba, Macaroni Grill and Islands among others. See, I live very close by now, and with the other shops here, I frequent this mall all the time. Like, damn near daily. This is the scariest fucking parking lot ever. I've seen other reviewers try to claim it's because of the Seizure World crowd. That may be partly true but it's not the whole story and I'm here to defend the graybeard crowd. There are like three entrances to this lot off of Seal Beach Blvd. The first is by the drug store. It's the safest. The other two are downright scary. People tend to fly through the stop signs. Either the one that stops the people coming in from SB Blvd or the perpendicular ones. And guess what, it aint the old people for the most part. I have witnessed several near misses involving cars vs cars, cars vs peds and cars vs bikes. It's amazing no one has been killed yet. I don't know what the deal is with this place, but someone is gonna get smoked, and I pray it's not me. read more

So I came to this local CVS to fill a prescription and utilized the drive thru to drop-off a basic prescription. The Pharmacy Tech asked for my DOB and the prescription. She explained that it would take 20 min. I kindly responded with "no problem" I'll be back in 1hr. An hourly as I was preparing to leave to get my prescription I recvd a call from the same tech stating she had no information on me and my insurance. First of all I was shocked to hear since I've been there many times over the years and told her my insurance was updated a week prior for my son. She put me on hold supposedly researching my insurance but I overheard her dealing with another customers issue. Upon her return she told me it would be ready in another 20 minutes.... wTF.... I asked why is it going to take another 20 min. She rudely responded by saying since I didn't have the insurance info she couldn't do it. Why didn't you ask for the info upon my dropoff? Why did it take you 1 hour to figure that out. If Mgmt is listening you have processes, poor staff that doesn't get time mgmt nor customer service- The Rite Aid across the street will get future biz read more

I now know why this CVS has such a low rating. The pharmacy is a joke. My CVS branch was out of my son's Rx for TamiFlu, so they sent me to the SealBeach CVS with a note that our Dr had written the dosage wrong, and to make sure they knew to call and clear it up. When I arrived at 12 to this CVS, I told the woman at the counter UP FRONT that they needed to call the Pediatrician bc there was some Concern about the dosage. Was told it would be ready in an hour. Three hours later I call to follow up and am told that it was just being filled and come get it. Then 3 mins later I get another call saying they cannot fill it and I need to go elsewhere to find the dosage the Dr required. I asked if they'd called my doctor to get it cleared up? They said they'd check and while on hold I got disconnected. We called our doctor right then to see what what up, and CVS was calling WHILE we were on the phone w them. At 3pm. Then I got the text saying it was ready. I asked the manager Bao about it and he LIED and said it was my Dr office fault. They LIED about the timing. They didn't do their jobs and then LIED about that, and didn't care at all that they wasted 3 hours and were totally ok with sending me off to look for TamiFlu elsewhere. Just WRONG. The customer service is MUCH better at the Los Alamitos CVS where they seem to actually care about doing their jobs. This was a pathetic experience. Very true! Everything is at a slower pace here! Also it does cater to the Leisure World demographic. I was waiting in line to check out and an older man apparently did not want to wait so he just walked right in front of me when the checker became available (this has happened here before) so be advised not only is it slow but be patient with the patrons as well. The drive-thru pharmacy exit is extremely inconvenient- use at your own risk. I don't come here often because of the slow pace but it gets the job done. read more

Call and speak to someone about a refill and I am told it will be ready in an hour. 59 minutes later, as I'm pulling in to pick it up, the same young man I spoke with is calling to tell me that it was transferred to another pharmacy and do I want to transfer it back? Well, for sure not now since you couldn't tell it was transferred when we spoke and then didn't inform me until it was supposed to be ready. Thank you for no service. read more

Terrible. Terrible.terrible pharmacy. I pulled my prescriptions forever from this location and booked it to rite aid on Los al blvd. It took them 6 hours to get to my 10 month old's express script when she was ill and took them almost an hour to give us our written rx back in hand to take it to rite aid after my husband asked for a manager.the wait is awful whether in line for pick up in store or in the drive thru. The staff is inexperienced with proper insurance verification and follow through. No recommendations here. read more
