I really loathe the self checkout area. I find they are normally short staffed at front which almost forces you to use the self checkout which usually I'll wait on line just for an actual person to prove a point. My experience recently at the self checkout area was rather annoying. There was 3 people ahead of me online. The cashier said a few times that there's self checkout so I figured ok I only have one item let me use it today because I had to be somewhere. Well this process took much longer because those 3 people and another person that would have been behind me were long done before me. I had a coupon and the machine voided it because it did not recognize that I put the coupon in the machine as it requested. So I waited a very long time for someone to help me. She had to help more people that came in and left me as it malfunctioned again. If I hadn't paid attention I would have paid full price. I'm a very patient person, but this is ridiculous. The girl who checks you out, has no idea which medicines are which, and which medicines should not be taken together. This is vitally important that a pharmacist should tell you what medicines cannot be taken together. She didn't even know what the medicine was that she was charging me for this place is a mess and they need to have all their employees retrained read more

Pharmacy employees are the worst. Not helpful, won't listen to the issue make rude comments and hang up on you instead of helping fix an issue.... BEWARE they tried to scam me!....Went CVS Seaford tonight, I saw a pool mask on summer clearance for 75% off, I had bought this set for my daughter over the summer for $18.00. Tonight it had no price tag the employee checked the price 3 times, it was now $75.00 with 75% off! So, now i can have it for $20.00. Pharmacy is extremely helpful & has good hours. They are always available to answer questions, locate your script at another pharmacy if they are out. They also have a drive thru. Evening staff is the worst part of this CVS. Particularly Joann; always frantic, easily overwhelmed, very condescending to customers. She has been there for years and is truly a nightmare to encounter. Day staff is accommodating & friendly. Will never ever shop/return/stay in the store while Joann is working again. Manager witnessed her exasperation over a minor thing & did not seem phased by her behavior. Parking lot is spacious & there is parking on Merrick Road. Pharmacy is horrible. Obnoxious pharmacist. She tells me I can no longer get a name brand drug I have been on for almost 25 years. When I questioned why she says if you want it you can go pick it up and she tells me a store a half hour away. Couldn't give me an explanation why they can't get it there. She was very nasty and didn't seem to care even though this is a seizure prevention drug. I'm not getting it here any longer she tells me. I have to have the name brand drug due to the ineffectiveness of genetics. I pay a very high price without complaint and she refused to order the drug for me. I went a half mile away and got my prescription. Hope she loses her job read more

Worst CVS ever. They deserve to close and maybe 4 employees deserve to keep their jobs in the entire store. Had the most ridiculous interaction this week there and it was the final one I'll ever have there as I'll never step foot into this CVS again. I thought the nasty lady in the pharmacy was named Kelly- but based on the reviews I've seen it's probably Kathy- and you go girl! You've racked up quite a name for yourself. To think that a person like you is allowed around people is a shame. Let alone, working in a pharmacy where some are sick. I hope you "have a great day" considering you "woke up on the wrong side of the bed." The way you screamed at me as I was already walking away showed your lack of professionalism and that you clearly don't have your ducks in a row. Your allowed to touch medication? I'm concerned for the safety of the customers. To think that you were to lazy to get up and open up the display case (after I waited for 10 minutes) and then put on this entire performance screaming at me was ridiculous. All I did was ask if you had a key; and you lost your mind. You made the one employee who was very sweet come all the way back there while you knew exactly what you were doing. Also the pharmacist didn't de-escalate the situation either.(not Joe-- idk how you work with these people bc you're very nice) I don't think I've ever disliked someone more that I didn't even know. CVS doesn't care though, bc they allow nasty humans like you to work there and actually collect a paycheck. Still waiting for the regional director to call me back. The store in Wantagh in the Cherry Wood Shopping center is such a pleasant experience-- flu shots were perfect, they moved quickly, they cared, actually had smiles on their faces--it was a PLEASURE. Already moved my prescription profile to that store. I suggest going there and not dealing with these people like Kathy who are just miserable and have the goal to make others miserable. The store as a whole is well stocked, well organized and has associates available to help almost all the time. The actual pharmacy does tend to have a wait BUT the pharmacists and technicians work hard. They operate like an old school pharmacy, discussing side effects and interactions when they dispense meds. They speak to people directly, and they take the time to make sure everything is correct. I have seen a lot of reviews about the staff "acting overwhelmed" but I think this might be a reflection of the general patience of this community. The staff here are gems, and there aren't many pharmacies that operate like this anymore, especially not a large company like CVS. We are lucky to have this place! read more

I wish I could write a separate review for the pharmacy. The store and staff are wonderful. The 1 star is strictly for the pharmacy. The "pharmacist" (kavina patel I believe is her name) is intolerable. She is disrespectful, unprofessional, rude and dismissive. I had been given the wrong medication. It was similar in name to a prescription I received prior but totally different. Had I not caught that, it could have been a terrible mistake. She started speaking over the other pharmacist who was helping me and didn't offer any help except to say that I was wrong. She did not bother to see the medication I had requested was in fact prescribed more recently and continued to print out a piece of paper showing where the wrong medication was prescribed. The paper was half torn and she threw it down in front of me. Before I could show her it was dated from weeks prior and not this week, she turned her back and would not come over to speak with me again. This isn't the first time I have had issues with this pharmacy. Last year I had 4 different stories as to why I couldn't get eye drops that were prescribed to me with excuses ranging from, it's been discontinued, it's back ordered, your insurance doesn't cover it and the last one which was "it's been sitting here waiting for you but it is now expired and you'll have to wait a few weeks longer for new ones." If I can find another local pharmacy that my insurance works with, I will most likely not be returning after her behavior and attitude. read more

The pharmacy staff is beyond rude. They constantly appear and have an attitude as if they are SO overwhelmed even during the RARE times that you may go and there isn't a ten person line. People who use the pharmacy use it because they are not feeling well or need their medication to stay well, not to be treated poorly, spoken down to, and rushed through inquiries. Its a gross negligence for any person who chooses to be dealing with sick and vulnerable people to feel it ok to treat people the way the female pharmacist at this cvs location does. I was unable to get her name as she failed to provide it as she promptly answered the call with a "cvs, hold." I did call during a busy time of the morning, so I let the curt greeting and the 15 min wait before she picked up again go. But when she picked back up she could have not been more unpleasant or unwilling to help, in fact she was rude and condescending on top of not being helpful at all. I attempted to get her name at the end of the call, but rather than "can I help with anything else", she hung up without giving me a chance to speak. The CVS in Amityville on Montauk Hwy was far more helpful. Gabrielle, the pharmacist at that location actually went out of her way to help me figure out the issue and it was just as busy at that location at that time. read more

CVS Pharmacy on Seaman's Neck Road in Seaford is always so helpful. The people who work there are polite and patient. Mary Jane has gone out of her way to help me with obtaining proper insurance/doctor authorizations after mistakes were made at other CVS Pharmacy. The line can sometimes be long when picking up inside but it's because of the customers, not the people who work behind the counter. Thanks for all of your help, CVS! I can only speak on the pharmacy department, my 81 year old mother was called and convinced to move her prescriptions to CVS from the 2 small "mom and pop" Pharmacies she had been using for 30 years . When only her second prescription was sent there she was told her insurance wouldn't pay for it. When she asked how much she was told (no misprint here) $5000 for 90 generic ativans. This is not an exaggeration ,call yourself and check my story. BUT other than the RX dept. the rest of the store is where I go for almost all of my vitamin and various healthcare products, in this they are great.. read more

This is the bigger of the two CVS's right in Seaford. This location has a decent amount of more stuff and is actually open 24/7. One of the few. The people here are very helpful and attentive. The lines don't get too crowded here since the floor is a good size. And for the most part, they have everything that I really need. Otherwise the store here isn't too much different from my usual CVS or any others for that matter. One of the key differences between here and the one in "Wantagh" is that this place sells alcohol. These people at this location had the audacity to tell my boyfriend they did not accept his insurance (Health First), while he was at the hospital for an allergic reaction!!!! RIDICULOUS! My mother has the same exact insurance and she ALWAYS gets her medicine from CVS! This is not the worst part either. We had to find out through Walgreens that you people are LIARS! The CVS in Massapequa had no problem filling out his prescription. I will never return to this CVS again.
