First, they made a mistake with my son's prescription and did not fill it correctly. Then, last week, I spoke with them about refilling a prescription and made it clear that I needed it by Monday. They told me that would be fine. When I went I was told that the prescription was not ready, and I was told no one had ordered it. The owner/pharmacist was dismissive and treated it like it was just a simple mistake. But this is medication. Pharmacies are responsible for people's health and safety, and mistakes like this can have serious consequences. One mistake was bad enough. Two is completely unacceptable. I went to STUARTS instead. The pharmacist at STUARTS (an old man with grey beard) was rude and had a nasty, condescending attitude. He wouldn't fill the prescription because it had the PA's name on it and not the doctor. I drove all the way back to hospital, got new script with doctor's name on it. Back at the pharmacy, same pharmacist has the cashier tell me that he's not filling the script again because it's dated for the next day, (which it WASN'T. The 8 looked like a 9, but with closer inspection you could see that it was the lack of pen pressure when the doctor rewrote it.) This pharmacy also shorted me in the past on medication for a family member, by SEVENTY PILLS - which I got - but not without a struggle. That's one of the reasons I stopped going there. I think he may have remembered the incident, and that was why he was being such a jerk. I went to WALGREEN'S on Sunrise Highway, and they filled it in 5 minutes, with no hassles. I'll never step foot in Stuarts Pharmacy again.

He…read morehad a very difficult surgery yesterday and was given too little pain medication at too small a dose. We called the doctor this morning to get some relief for pain management and they agreed to send a second prescription so he could get through the worst of it. When I walked in to the pharmacy to pick his prescription up this afternoon, the pharmacist (a man with close cropped hair) was complaining to the staff, and for all to customers to hear, about a woman patient he had been on the phone with. He basically described her as stupid and annoying for asking questions about her prescription. "I can't deal with her anymore," he said. He then turned to me and said that he would not fill my husband's prescription because it was "too soon." I explained the situation, and how we had talked to the doctor this morning and they had agreed and sent the second prescription, based on my husband's pain levels. He cut me off and said again that he would not fill the scrip. I asked him to please call the doctor and he refused that too, saying that he had already spoken with some receptionist in the doctor's office and that he didn't need to call and speak with the doctor--that it was "your fault for not following the doctor's orders and taking too many pain pills." It's important to note that I even though I was upset and concerned about my husband, I did not treat the pharmacist or his staff with disrespect, even as they were nasty, mean, condescending and accusatory to me. Cutting to the chase, the pharmacist and the female cashier there were so nasty that I had to leave and drag my husband, whose stomach was cut open in three places yesterday and in tremendous pain, out of his sick bed to come in. They refused him as well, and basically tried to make him feel like he had done something wrong and was trying to illegitimately "score" drugs (even though the DOCTOR wrote a second prescription and sent it to the pharmacy!). To top it all off, they then told him that they had decided to not fill the prescription at all because the pharmacist didn't like my personality.
