Really nice store ... they got rid of that hideous trailer and the god awful U-Haul truck . They have been there for at least 9 years yuck . Spoke to the new store manager and what's a wonderful young man .. was very pleasant , very helpful .. seems as if he turned around the store overnight .. the employees also seem more happy . It I could leave less than 1, I would. This location is absolutely terrible, always. I called looking for supplies and pieces to a machine I currently needed to help me breathe and they kept me on hold for over 10 minutes, no one had any idea of what I was even talking about which is insane to me because it's a well known medical device found in a lot of homes. Please educate your staff because they truly don't have any idea what's going on. The store is also always very dirty and the employees less than helpful with attitudes. This is absolutely the worst CVS I have ever visited and sadly it's my closest one so I have to use it. For started the parking lot is usually jammed and your first impression begins as you observe their always overflowing dumpster followed by the rust Uhaul truck parked in the corner next to the attractive storage container. Don't look over in that corner of the lot at it's strewn w garbage and old packing crates. Step inside to enjoy the stained carpeting but don't look up as you'll find where the stains came from with moldy or missing ceiling tiles. If you're looking for greeting cards get ready to be disappointed as the card sections are never more than half stocked. The store is so understaffed that the shelves often look like they are going out of business. The pharmacy is also so understaffed that they close in the middle of the day so they can eat lunch. If you try using the CVS app the staff can never scan the barcode so what is meant to save time adds time. Always a long line for the pharmacy and the store is expertly designed so the pharmacy line is in the aisle with the condoms, lube and massagers. Love this place! Avoid at all costs. read more

This review in no way reflects the employees or service . I can say all the employees i interact with are friendly and helpful . However , the store is poorly stocked , as a rule and the carpet is filthy . Sadly , i have found this in some of the other local CVS stores . I go there out of convenience. Today i actually had to leave because they had no 1 year old birthday cards. They had very few children's birthday cards. They did not have either of the hair products i was looking for either. I plan on following up with a letter to the company as well. read more

This is absolutely about the pharmacy. The rest of the store is just fine, nice helpful people, always. The pharmacy is an unorganized mess. Pitiful, and with an attitude from one person who was seemingly in charge. (The rest of the pharmacy staff are nice.) I don't know who this short person was with the short dark brown hair, but boy, was she nasty. Absolute narcissist, nothing she did was wrong. I couldn't tell if she was the pharmacist or not. She was just downright rude. I've been coming here for 20 years and I've never seen the pharmacist, or whoever she was, come down and start yelling at the customers, but she did. I don't have room to express how rude and obnoxious she was to a paying customer, but she was absolutely unprofessional, dismissive, invalidating for over $150 worth of medication that they screwed up for the 4th time on the same order. She had previously butted in to every single conversation while people waited on a VERY long line as the rest of the staff tried to figure out what was going on. NIGHTMARE conditions. I will say this pharmacy was much better many years ago but it was never great. It's a very busy store and should have a much larger pharmacy, period. What to do? Go to the Merrick Road, Merrick CVS--much better treatment and they get orders right, have more staff and more meds in stock and they pay attention. Or go to Rite-Aid, Walgreen's, etc.--anywhere but this CVS. I'm done. read more

Have lived In Wantagh 25 years and counting , have never used another CVS/ pharmacy. Have never had an issue , and I pick up@ pharmacy monthly. When it comes to the store , if I have time, I have occasionally visited Merrick rd. Location instead. I like the selection of products there, but the better selection is really only bc larger location. Also they are 24hrs over there. But out of the way for me, and the Bellmore ave CVS has always been just fine. read more

I, as well as the rest of my family, have been frequent CVS shoppers in Bellmore for over 30 years. Today Lisa at the pharmacy was not only rude, but after telling my Mom she couldn't find her in the system, and telling her the info she was giving her was wrong (like she doesn't know her own name or dob?), she decided to flip the computer screen forcefully towards the customer side of the counter to show us what she pulled up, which was NOT the prescriptions that they told us would be ready and revealed all of her personal info to onlookers, violating HIPA. She was nasty, rude and unhelpful. Lisa could not be bothered to listen to the customer and hear what she came to the pharmacy to get. Horrible experience. Will definitely be switching pharmacies. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy on the south shore. Every single time I've been there, there has been an issue. The staff does not know what they are doing and are completely uneducated in how insurance works. They are rude and have no idea how to treat their customers. Our Christmas cards were supposed to be ready within one hour and this cvs came up having availability. Gave an extra half hour to make sure the store had enough time. Upon arriving we were told they had no more paper and didn't print the cards. Couldn't be bothered to call us and let us know there was a problem. Politely asked for envelopes to address this evening so cards could be quickly inserted upon receipt (which is supposedly tomorrow). Was told no, asked to speak with the manager who refused to allow us to have the envelopes after they were the ones who were unable to fulfill the order. Over $110 later, we have no cards, no envelopes and will not even be able to send these in the mail tomorrow. read more

Not so much a complaint with the people who work here, but more of a complaint about the people behind the scene. My wife fell in their parking lot at night (yellow curb stop located in front of the door) She suffered a fractured knee cap. All we wanted was for them to cover our out of pocket medical expenses (roughly 1,500 dollars) We were told by the woman handling the case that they would. Well she left the company, and now they are claiming that was never told to us( I was told it was hear say ) REALLY ! They are denying any accountability. The curb stop is painted yellow. It is also about 5 inches high Not marked or accompanied by secured posted mounted in front of it I was told it is there to prevent cars from driving through the front doors! Maybe a matchbox car. Way to honor your word. Don`t get hurt on this property, and watch your step, and your back for that matter! read more

MY BAD that I came back here twice since my last review & I guess that's my fault for doing so, but this location is convenient to the Bellmore flea market on Sunday's. Same issue as my last review, coupon machine/price checker not working AGAIN & the employee w/ the R name who rang me up had the personality of a rock. Missing shelf tags (& with no price checker), there was a shelf of Essie nail polishes just thrown. Store is generally disorganized. This location is the most convenient to me, so I go here often. The "extra bucks" are an incentive too! I don't know if there has been a change in management, but I've noticed in the last couple of months how much customer service has improved.Not that it was bad before, but now every employee I encounter in the aisles has a friendly greeting and asks if I need help finding anything.Sometimes I will be asked by 2 or 3 different employees in one shopping trip. read more

The staff is really nice but they never have my medicine ready on time. Most of the time they are out of stock. My sister waited almost a week for her medicine because they didn't have it in stock. There is always a long line because they mostly have only one register open. read more
