Terrible. The worst. Expect a line ten people deep that moves very slowly. The app sometimes offers mail delivery - would recommend taking that option. Only reason most come here is because their health plans bully them into using them instead of using our local pharmacy with far better service. read more

Really disappointed with CVS. The pharmacy is always crowded, they're understaffed and every time I go there, there seems to be some sort of issue with my prescription and even the people around me. I don't get why. The scripts from my doctors always goes through. It's an issue on their end or their items are backordered or out of stock. The floors are gross, place needs to be cleaned and needs a good vacuum. There's only one gentleman who's a cashier up at the front doing checkout who is always there that's nice and pleasant. Sucks but I think I'm taking my business to Walgreens going forward. read more

My friend needed a last minute physical and cvs let them make and appointment same day got he physical done for like $50 even with you using his insurance! Really cool lil mini clinic. I wish my cvs had this lol it's like a mini target in here. Super cool. Jonathan was so helpful. I left at 11:30 PM and realized that I misplaced my driving glasses. I called back at 6 AM Jonathan was still working and located my driving glasses I'm so grateful ! BUYER BEWARE!!! I went to this clinic and was told that they checked to make sure that my vaccines were covered under my insurance. Waited at least 10 minutes while they allegedly checked. I later got a bill for almost $900 due to their incompetence. They do not make payment arrangements so now I'm just stuck with this bill now. If they hadn't lied to me on the initial visit about it being covered I never would have gotten the vaccines. I guess this is a scam that they're running now to tell you that things are covered when they are not to try to get money from you later. Do yourself a favor and get your services elsewhere. read more

This place stinks. Line was incredibly long and they were so slow. The girl was less than enthusiastic behind the pharmacy. Bring home the medication and said take as directed. Absolutely no directions listed at all! And I know it needs to be taken a specific way. I call. It took 3x for me to call to get someone to pick up their phone! I have been going here for several years I live in Bellmore the next town and find this store very convenient I have 3 children and 9 grand children and have needed medical supplies at 3 and 4 am with small children baby aspirin and Anbesol for kids in pain in middle of night and this store was such a relief to find in emergency . This CVS Pharmacy is located right on Merrick Road in Merrick, New York. It has a large parking lot you can park in, but the lines are faded, and it's dark at night. Once inside you are greeted by a security guard. A very friendly one...The store is well placed with a place through the center of the store in a different color carpet. The isles are on either side in another carpet color. The signs are easy to read and are sectioned off well. The shelves are well stocked and are in order. There was only one cashier wish was slow...but they did have self checkout but with no one to help you. Overall it's a good cvs, come to grab your last minute 24 hour needs. It's much better than a seven eleven...Closes more well lit handicap parking would have gave this place the full five stars. This is absolutely the worst cvs by far and has a potential law suit coming their way. My fiancé has a few medications she always gets from this location. A little over a week ago she got a new med. you think these people that claim they know what they're doing and have all these checks in place wouldn't mess up on this magnitude. Fiancé gets the medicine was taking for almost a week and wasn't feeling well. Upon going to her doctor they look at he medicine right med on label wrong meds in bottle. And no answer from them! No another prescription two days ago it was they'll order it. Yesterday it was we will have it ready by 4 tomorrow. Today it's we don't have it but it could be in the shipments that came in you have to wait till about 4. 530 pm we call nobody has it it's in stock we don't know why it's didn't ship. And that's it. These people have put my finances medical well being in harms way not once but twice. With no answers or no remorse. This will be sent to corporate as well. Then legal action will be taking place for the wrong meds in the bottle. Let this happen to one of the employees family members and we will see the results be different. Shame on you CVS. read more

When I finished shopping I went to checkout counter but she refused to help me there saying store policy was to push us to use the self checkout counter. This CVS location has excellent staff especially in Pharmacy. Yesterday I was given antibiotics and my doctor called it in and it was ready in 20 minutes. Special thanks to Susie and Ava who were too happy to help rush the RX thru so that I was able to pick It up and get right back to work. They have tons of stock on anything you might need in a hurry as far as household items. The staff are generally polite and helpful. I'm glad they are open 24 hours in case you need something in the middle of the night. I'm so glad that they hire competent associates especially in Pharmacy area! read more

Terrible pharmacist! Went to ask a question about my medication when I was super sick and on multiple medications- the pharmacist was a youngish while girl with glasses and brown hair- and refused to come over an answer any questions I had about medication. Apparently she was too stuck up and too busy to make sure I don't die from taking medication that can Interact with each other. Glad she thinks she's so important but really horrible. Horrible. 2 mistakes in 2 weeks. Will fill future prescriptions elsewhere. First one was wrong dosage (I am a senior but can recognize wrong size pill but not every senior can and wrong dosages or wrong medications can be fatal mistakes). Second was asking me to pay nearly $400 for a prescription covered by Medicare because they didn't put it through insurance when they already had my information. Never again. read more

With only one person in front of me I had to wait over 20 minutes to be helped by someone because she was too busy having an extended personal conversation with a customer who I'm not even sure was picking up medication just groceries. Hire staffers who truly hate their jobs (e.g., talk loudly in front of customers of how miserable management is, and how they "can't wait to get out"), and have bean counters at HQ install scanners that perfect the ultimate miserable customer experience. Definitely one of the biggest CVS i've ever been to. Was the former location of Loehmann's clothing store (most of you probably don't know what that is or even remember it was even there) but is now one of the largest pharmacies in the area. Haven't been here too many times but on my most recent visit there was one check-out person at the film counter and there was a line of about 6 people in the middle of a weekday afternoon. Calls for help were quickly answered and was out relatively quickly. Most of the time I go to Rite Aid on Newbridge but this location has a bigger selection of products so i'll probably go here from now on. read more

I visited the Merrick Rd. CVS on Sunday, 4/24/16 with a long list of items that I needed and a handful of coupons for those items. The store was a mess! There were empty shelves in every area and the stock that was on the shelves was filthy. Almost everything that I picked up had a layer of dust on it. There were many items that I couldn't find and no employees to be found to ask for help. I should have gone somewhere else at that point. My mistake. After waiting on a long line for the one and only cashier, several of my coupons did not go through. When I questioned the cashier and showed him that the items were in fact in my bags, he told me he didn't know why the computer wouldn't take them and since there was no manager to help him, there was nothing that he could do. It was very frustrating! Time to try Walgreens! read more

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would! One of the worst pharmacy's I have ever used! Prescriptions are never ready on time. Have had to make several trips to pick up and had to wait because they still weren't ready! My last adventure was picking up a prescription for my son. Dropped the prescription off at 5pm, was told it would be ready in 15 minutes....went back at 7pm, still not ready, went back at 8:30pm, was told they tried to reach us but the Dr. wrote the script in the incorrect dose. LIZ who works in the pharmacy is beyond rude and should not be working a job where she has to interact with people. She did not even do her job. I did not have my insurance info seeing as my wallet was stolen. She was extremely snotty towards me with all her responses. She told me I needed to call my insurance to get the info, when as a pharmacist that's your job! Funny when I called the first thing they asked was to speak to the pharmacist and even stated they should have called themselves. The man that helped me after her was helpful.
