I have worked with pharmacies now for over 5 years and this pharmacy is by far the most unprofessional, unwelcoming, and rude people I have ever worked with. I highly recommend just going to a different pharmacy to get your medications filled at. When working in healthcare whether you're a pharmacy technician, nurse or medical assistant one should be compassionate, and professional. While I was speaking to pharmacy staff to get information on some prescriptions the staff that I spoke to was just huffing and puffing saying phrases like "oh my god." you can sense the attitude over the phone. Recently dropped off a very sentimental disposal camera via the Kodak development center and the envelope was sent back empty nearly 8 weeks later. I am less than thrilled any time I have to talk to Ryan in the pharmacy. His customer service leaves me feeling like I am imposing on him, I don't think he could look any more bored and uninterested in what I have to say. I was in customer service for 34 years and I know this is not the way it should be nor do I think it is exceptable. I have tried to give him the benefit of doubt, we all have bad days. Not this guy. Been using this pharmacy for more than 30 years. But the recent program to have the pharmacy phone me back has failed on several occasions. I've left important messages, and the pharmacy promised to phone back in about an hour. They were never returned. This is not what has happened in the past, and he has made me reconsider this as my primary pharmacy. That is a shame. I don't think it's wise to offer a callback program if there are not adequate staff to manage it. read more

Not sure what's going on with the pharmacy but been experiencing issues in the past 10 months. It may have to do with corporate changes or other issues, because previously I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Now they're-- the opposite. Overworked? Bad corporate policies? I don't know. It does seem like their computer system might be different and causing the people working there to make errors. -Twice stopped there a couple days after a doctor visit where the doctor sent in the script in front of me to this CVS-- it hadn't been flagged to fill and they had me wait to fill it. I told the pharmacist that this was happening and she said it wasn't their fault, but it should be filled when the doctor sends it in. -My insurance changed (through a different employer but same insurance) and mine got updated and my kids' didn't. When I went to fill my daughter's prescription it was pricey (like $65 as opposed to $15 for a generic) and the guy told me my insurance didn't cover much. Thought that was weird. My daughter changed prescriptions yesterday and the price for another generic was $80. Again, the clerk just said, "Your insurance doesn't cover it." Not that she had no insurance on file, which was the true statement. The price should be $15 through insurance. Got that rectified today. -They filled the wrong mg of my daughter's new prescription (a couple months ago) and the pharmacist tried to blame me until she went into the system and found it was their error. -Tried to get a baby aspirin refilled and the clerk told me, "You know you can just get that in the store, why are you getting it here?" I said I knew but my copay was 0 for that med. And it was. Like, why do you care if I'm getting it through a prescription? (I don't think that particular clerk works there anymore). -When I tried to get a birth control prescription filled here, they had to order it and then were going to charge something like $180. Previously, the order had been filled by ABC Pharmacy in Laguna Hills, who took care of the coupon for me and had free home delivery. At CVS they told me I'd have to call the company and find out about the coupon and get the number and bring it back and do all the work the other pharmacy had done. So I just asked my doctor to transfer it back to the original pharmacy. I have a 0 out of pocket there. And their phone system is now incredibly cumbersome to navigate, which is absolutely a corporate issue. read more

Simply cannot trust them. They claim to have called in prescription refills, yet the doctors say otherwise. Filing of meds is really bad. Why they have to go in search of meds that were just filled is beyond me. Incompetence seems to be across the board and from top down. Apparently they feel they know more than the doctors, because I have found they cancel meds if they don't immediately hear back from the doctor. Great proximity to my home, but I'll go the extra few miles for better service. read more

While I reside two blocks from this pharmacy for 20+ years, I travel an additional 2 miles for my scripts simply because I have chronically found the service of this pharmacy location unfriendly and unprofessional. Years of not going to this location, I offered to pick up meds for my husband fighting bronchitis (he can ignore rude people). Not overly surprised, I found that the service has not changed. Not only was the same clerk I remembered from years ago, curt to the elderly woman in front of me, she was just as rude to me when I questioned interactions with the new prescription and over-the-counter meds already taken. I miss the former staff of 15 years ago, like Albert. He knew how to treat people, respectfully. BTW: I'm giving 2 stars, because I guess others have moved their scripts, so the wait was not long. read more

Pharmacy manager has a policy against allowing GoodRx coupons on controlled medications. This is an elitist policy that might be designed to reduce substance abuse, but functionally, it just prevents lower income folks (you know... those of us who are sick and need... um... pharmaceuticals?) from paying for necessary medications. Are you on medi-cal and want to sleep? Benadryl not cutting it? Too bad, you can't use a perfectly legal coupon to pay for a med that your physician deems medically necessary. This twat waffle is going to make sure you pay the full $350 out of pocket cost. Oh and you can't transfer it, even though that's completely legal in the state of California too. He's made a policy against that. Got bone pain from your cancer? tough it out! If you're not employed enough to have elite insurance, you're obviously a drug addict. At least that's how this pharmacy's policies treat you. read more

I don't come to CVS too often but when I need a quick item and I don't want to go on a Target run then I come here. This store is large and has a great selection of everything that I have ever needed. I have mostly purchased medicine from here when a common cold comes on but I have also looked through their seasonal area and make up. I also get some snacks there every now and then. The staff is always very friendly and will lead you to the items you are in need of if you can't find them. They are also good at getting you through check out quickly and will scan a store card so you can get the discounts if you don't have one. The store is in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking available. The one bad thing is more about CVS over just this location. It is expensive here. I can spend so much less money if I go to Target over CVS but when I am here I am paying for convenience and that makes it worth it for me. Overall, a great place to quickly run into and pick something up when you don't want to do a Target trip, even though it comes at a higher price. read more

This is an overdue review, as I've been using this pharmacy as my go-to. This past week, the lead pharmacist here went above and beyond to fix a medication issue I was having. This was a time sensitive issue, as I was headed out for travel and was concerned about not having enough of a medication I need on that trip (and beyond that trip). Having the medication to take with me made a night and day difference, and the fact that the team there took it seriously and acted so quickly was very much appreciated. read more

I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist on staff tonight at 6:20pm denied me life saving levothyroxine 88mcg which I take everyday- I'm out of meds and switched doctors - can't get a hold of my doctor or nurse - I asked if they could give me a few to get by just now- denied. The pharmacist before this one a few days before let me know she could only provide 3 at a time until my doctor refilled my script. I explained to the pharmacist - that there's a pandemic one dose I miss could compromise my immune system and I can get very sick- she went on to let me know yes I could get sick - and if I started to feel sick to go to urgent care. Don't get your meds here - these people don't care if you live or die. These meds aren't even controlled! I got my script refilled at Walgreens. Not going back there. read more

Jeanie took the extra step to contact the dr office for a pre auth. She kept me well informed regarding the status of my son's prescription. I greatly appreciate all her help. Scheduled an appointment for a vaccine checked in but people who had walked in before me were giving their vaccines first and I was required to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time to get my vaccine because the computer didn't let them know that I had an appointment. read more

I have an had issue before with being given the wrong prescription and today I thought that happened again because the packaging was different. I consulted with the Pharmacist Stephanie who showed me it was the correct one and assured me by showing me all the packaging and comparing it to my prescription. I expressed my frustrations because I am somewhat scared to continue to get my medicine from that pharmacy and she made me feel a lot better and expressed she was looking out for me.
