I am giving this CVS 5 stars for the pharmacy and pharmacist. My doctor prescribed me a new medication. I don't want to tell too much about my medications so I will just say my doctor prescribe a pill called Substance X. My doctor advised that I would start taking Substance X and stop taking the red pill. When I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist wanted to talk to me. They had noticed I was taking the green pill and wanted to know if I was going to keep taking it. I was tempted to say blue pill for this third medication but that would have conjured much different image. I told the pharmacist that I was told to start Substance X and stop the red pill but I was told nothing about changes to the green pill. The pharmacist explained that Substance X contained the green pill so I should stop taking bother the red and green pills if I was going to take Substance X. I did contact my doctor just to make sure and they did confirm that I should stop taking the red and green pills. If it wasn't for the pharmacist noticing this issue and taking the time to explain this to me then I might have been doubling my dose of Green Pill. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - SAN ANTONIO, Texas

Two issues... #1). Went to CVS at 14900 Jones Maltsberger because it was close. I usually use H-E-B, but they had closed for the day. With GoodRx, I paid $76. Had H-E-B been open, it would have been $15. #2). Diagnosed with a UTI. Really had to urinate, but restroom was locked. Asked the pharmacist to open, and he claims too many people were making a mess. Refused to unlock it. Was forced to to go out in the parking lot to urinate. Very degrading. Will NEVER go to CVS again. read more

I was lucky enough to secure an appointment to get my first Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19 and made my first visit to this store. I guess I was a tiny bit anxious, because I arrived 45 minutes early! I went to check in and the gentleman at the front table indicated he could check me in only 15 minutes early. So, I loitered around the store for 30 minutes waiting for my time for the shot! At precisely 15 minutes prior to my appointment, he escorted me back to the pharmacy area where I was able to sit (socially distanced from others) until my name was called. The young lady that administered the shot was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to easily answer my questions. She was especially efficient giving the shot with only the slight pinch. Placed a band-aid on the spot and asked me to wait 15 minutes in a nearby seating area to ensure I did not have any negative reaction. This is a fairly large CVS with 3 "Consulting Rooms". I had never been in any pharmacy with consulting rooms before and thought that was an added bonus. (Although my shot was done behind a screen in the main pharmacy area.) I would never have ended up at this pharmacy as it is a good 20+ miles from my home, however, this was the only CVS that I could find that had an opening for the rapid antigen COVID test this past Friday. On Thursday I thought maybe I had a summer cold,--but by the time Friday morning rolled around I had body aches too. I called my Dr's office on Friday morning. Unfortunately, they did not return my call. I called them the 3rd time around 2:00 pm and was told by the receptionist that my Dr. was out of town and they were closing for the day. Even worse, the receptionist failed to tell me that I needed a Dr to order a quick antigen test under my insurance. I was left scrambling, trying to figure out where to go or what options I had besides going to the emergency room or a med clinic. Thankfully, I came across this link: https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing for the CVS Minute Clinic. This link made it possible to upload my insurance information without the need for a doctor to order the test first. The next hurdle to overcome was due to the high numbers of COVID locally, all locations near me were full for testing through the weekend. I kept looking and finally saw this location had a 5:05 PM appointment. The only downside was I knew I couldn't actually make it there from my home in time as it was about 4:45 PM. I still booked the appointment, uploaded my info and called them on my way to let them know I would be about 10 minutes late. By this time, I was truly feeling awful, feverish, and achy. At any rate, I made it to CVS and just wanted to express my appreciation for Ms. Ebony Williams, LPN, who patiently waited outside, (in our ridiculous heat), for me to drive around the back of the store and guided me through taking the test. A big shout out to all of our health care professionals in San Antonio right now who are dealing with massive numbers of sick people! Also thank you to Ms. Marlisa Trevino, NP, who called me later on in the evening with my test results. Thanks to the "Minute Clinic" I was able to let my neighbor, (who only has 1/2 of one lung), know I tested positive for COVID. This was CRITICAL as she too tested positive for COVID, and qualifies for monoclonal antibody treatment, which she has scheduled first thing tomorrow morning. I feel like my Dr's office REALLY dropped the ball on this one, and am just so thankful CVS had this program. Thanks to CVS Minute Clinic, I have not been around anyone since I was symptomatic, (I'm now in quarantine, of course), my neighbor was alerted, tested and most importantly, she was able to set up critically-needed antibody treatment. A warning for all who are reading this review: YOU CAN GET COVID EVEN IF YOU'VE BEEN VACCINATED!! I truly believe the only reason I'm NOT in the hospital is because I WAS. read more

This pharmacy could have cost me my life. They screwed up a prescription for a blood thinner and I wound up taking twice what I was supposed to for several days. When I called to complain, the pharmacist tried to cover CVS's ass by trying to blame the mistake on my cardiologist. This is not the only problem I have had with this CVS. I am kicking myself because I have been planning to switch pharmacies for sone time. Procrastinating could have cost me big time. read more

Ruth saved the day again! I have received many recorded messages from CVS stating that my prescription refill was ready for pickup. The annoying part was that I did not order the refills and had called the pharmacy to take the autofill off of my account. Every time I talked to other employees, they always said that I did not have autofill. The last time I called I spoke to Ruth. She checked every prescription. As she went down the list, she did find that several prescriptions toward the end of the list were on autofill, and she immediately turned it off of each one. Thank you, Ruth, for taking the time to check the entire list. You are shining star! P.S. I am in San Antonio, not San Francisco! read more

Horrible customer service in pharmacy. Very unorganized. I love the company but this location is very bad

Service was a bit slow though the employees were nice. Bathroom is beyond disgusting and filled with graffiti. It needs some improvement but it's not horrible. read more

We live half of the year in San Antonio and half of the year in California. The difference in how this CVS is ran both the store part but especially the Pharmacy is day and night. Kudo's to San Antonio Pharmacy. They are fast, efficient and if they say your prescription will be available in 15 minutes, it is or in less time. Customer service is at it's best at this location. I'm sure the Seal Beach store is a lot busier, but they should adjust their staff better to serve their customers. Pharmacy and store staff are nice and always willing to help, however new store manager was extremely rude; never going back to this store! I've been a customer of this store for several years and no one had ever provided such poor service, and what's worse is that it was the store manager, setting a bad example for the staff. read more

The pharmacy staff is incompetent to an extreme level. Had to wait 2 days for a prescription for my daughter only to find that they didn't order it. Management and staff should be fired, there is no hope for them. read more

Not sure how I ended up at this pharmacy as it's not in my neighborhood but I'm glad I did. The pharmacist Mr. Tracy is exceptional. I've been coming here for a while and could have moved to a closer pharmacy but I'm about efficiency and customer service. Mr. Tracy is so nice, so respectful and timely!! He gets us in and out which I appreciate bc it's a busy pharmacy. He respects the fact his customers are probably not feeling well and he's doing everything in his scope to get us our prescriptions and on our way. I love it when stuff just works. The pharmacy staff at this CVS location is excellent. They are knowledgeable, compassionate and very efficient. I've never left there without either the prescription or a detailed explanation of why there is a delay. Typically, the doctor has to approve and they have been great about following up to get the medication in our hands. My husband's doctor prescribed something that they didn't carry nor could they get. The Pharmacist referred me to the local compounding pharmacy down the street and even called to make sure it was in stock. That, folks, is customer service! read more

Super rude pharmacy staff members, they are not willing to help and they make you feel like they are doing you a favor, when they are doing what they are suppose to be doing. the CVS employees are very nice and helpful but the pharmacy employees need some attention from Human Resources department. read more

Very disappointed with this CVS. I switched my medications to this store. I get all my meds filled on the 24th of each month. Every time I call in the people that work here tell me it's to soon, gotta wait few more days. I call back a few days later, same thing. A doctor writes a month supply for a reason..........Dont you pharmacist know this. One time I came in to pick up my husband prescription, the older gentleman told me there is no prescription on his file. I knew that was not true. So I had to speak to another pharmacist and sure enough, there it was. Definitely switching back to Walgreens on Bulverde Rd. read more

I get emails all the time from CVS as I shop at this location quite a bit. I received an email about curbside pickup with a 10 dollar coupon I was like ok I will give it a try needed a few things anyways. So I followed the directions got the text on my phone replied back to per instructions I pulled up to the store turned on my hazard lights waited 15 minutes for someone nobody came. I called the store and they told me we have your order. Waited 5 more minutes in the car thinking someone was coming nope I was wrong in that assumption. I got out of my car and went inside to pick up my own order is this curbside pick up I don't think so. When I approached the 2 ladies in the store I told them I was here for my order they were talking amongst themselves paying no attention to me one was on a cell phone. When I got there attention she told me oh our system just went down oh ok so when I called you on the phone why was it not delivered to me did not get an explanation so I picked up my order and walked without any resolution if you want curbside service don't come here because you have to pick it up yourself ridiculous if your going to offer a service make sure you follow through CVS worst experience...... read more
