Extremely disappointing visit. The employees were dismissive and unhelpful, and when I asked for assistance, one of the girls was giggling like it was a joke and looking around like she had no idea what to do. The Pharmacy suck!!! I don't think I have gone one time where the wait took at least a half hour in line. They never have multiple people helping and the cashiers are slow, snotty, rude and act like they hate their job. Sorry to see my neighborhood CVS store really get worse. I always had to wait in long lines, but they the stopped carrying products that I frequently bought due to retail theft. I spoke to the store manager about it after waiting 2 months to restock and she was unconcerned about what their regular customers are asking for. I refuse to buy anything else at this CVS store. UPDATE: I went to the CVS store in South Salinas to purchase my needed items instead and was surprised to see the level of cleanliness, service and availability of products. It's 100% better. It's a shame that CVS discriminates and provides better quality service and products in the more affluent part of town, and neglects those elsewhere in town. read more

When I shop at CVS usually once every two weeks, I pick up my drinks and snacks like potato chips, pop tarts, popcorn, granola bars for the week that way I don't have to spend extra money at the regular grocery store. It's entirely convenient and a good way of watching my budget.. read more

This place is a pit. I live close by and come here often, but not by choice by proximity. It is dirty and the staff seems to not really care about that. They rarely have the oral hygiene products I need (I know to go to the Alisal Store for that). The water machine they have out front used to be 35¢/gal. then they raised it to 50¢/gal. The pharmacy is slow (but the folks are nice). You might as well go to the 99¢ Only store next door for better selection and similar hygiene. read more

Worst pharmacy in Salinas. Pharmacists go on lunch during different hours than are posted so you can't get the medication you need and they could care less. They are posted to go on lunch from 1:30-2 but when I went to pick up medicine at 12:40 no one was available to help me and no alternatives were offered. My wait for help in the pharmacy was almost an hour in line. There were 12 people in line when I arrived. The line was not moving. Two people ahead of me left in frustration. More that 7 people came in the store, saw the length of the line and left the store. This was the 10th time I'd come in to pick up my medication. I'd left some of those times because I didn't have time to wait in a line of 10 or more people. I came at different times of the day and several days, but the lines were always long. I signed up to have this medication delivered 3 times and was surprised to get a call today that I had to pick it up or it would no longer be available. The last time I'd been in to register to have it delivered I was told it would be at my house last Friday. I spoke to the manager about this concern and she took very little responsibility, but readily threw blame at others. She did not come across as professional and lacked customer service. My impression of the pharmacy department is that the team is professional, hard working, and efficient. Even when they are super busy, they are pleasant and focused on working together, getting the job done right, and making sure customers get what they need. read more

Very sharp, professional and polite staff in the pharmacy. I stopped in to try to pick up a prescription that my wife's clinic had mistakenly sent across town. They found us in their system immediately and filled it for us in minutes. I was there along with 16-20 different customers and everyone was served promptly and professionally. They carry a broad selection of over the counter meds and snacks... We will be making this location one of our regular stops. read more

CVS has always seemed to be a low-rent destination, no matter where, but now that it's changed names to CVS y Mas (really?) I will never shop there again. EVER. y mas what? Diapers? My 95yr old mother needs to get the Pneumoccal vacine. I do not want to take her in there unless I know they have it and/or can do that. I have spent the last week calling. (On hold right now going on 18min) I have called several times and never was picked up. I went into CVS on Sat. around 9:00am. Stood in line at the drop off window so I could ask. Someone was in front of me being helped and after a bit I went into the pick up line. One person in front of me waited another 10 min. There were 5 people behind the counter. I ended up walking out. CVS pharmacy on West Laurel and Main street...had a very disturbing incident with someone who claims to be the store mgr! Went in on 8/24/2017 for some wine and soda.....long line with one cashier as normal with this store. Finally another register opens...go in line and am greeted.."did you find everything you were looking for today?' NO I replied, there are no shopping carts available so I am buying what I can carry. She replies.." well blame the fucking homeless sir"...I was shocked into being speechless for a bit... I replied..'i do not respect your diatribe on the poor unfortunate homeless in the Salinas area"...I completed my transaction and went to my car. I reflected on this in the parking lot and called again to ask for a corporate number....ROCIO answered with the loud response that I was banned for life from the store and hung up on me without providing a corporate contact number or email address. I finally7 found a CVS complaint portal after searching on Google (sure not on the company website)...I was sent a response that I would be contacted by the management team within two business days reference this incident.. Folks it is end of day 4...no contact! So I am going to offer this to the local news stations that have consumer watch's and see if they want to stir the ant hill of this corps giant.... Looking at yelp. I see lots of probs with this store on Laurel.....Take my advice and shop Walgreens from now on!!!! read more

Pharmacy is less than helpful. The site in general is your typical CVS. Of you transferring medication from another store you may as well go to the doctor and have them designate this specific CVS. They won't send their own faces to the doctor, but rely on "the other store." read more

Fairly small. Not much of a selection on many items. Definitely higher priced than other nearby stores. But there's also less of a crowd, more courteous customers & more helpful staff. The parking lot is hard to get out of depending on what direction you're trying to head in. read more

CVS has always been my go-to for quick stops for drugstore makeup, but it would have been a much nicer experience if the older woman (possibly manager) wouldn't have kept following and pestering me and my boyfriend around the entire 10 minutes we were there. I even put my ONE item on the front counter (with another employee's permission) so we could continue walking around empty-handed without her on our asses. But--get this-- we walked up towards the front to pay, she called security over the loudspeaker to come to the front. I'm sorry, do me and boyfriend look suspicious because we're dressed in dark attire suitable for a rainy day?? Didn't catch the lady's name by the time we paid and left, wish I would have, but was too upset to walk back into the store. read more

Terrible service, one of the technicians never entered one of my prescription and made me wait more than 2 hrs when she first said 30 min . They need to be more professional and not make people wait for that long if they already gave you a time for pick up. I am used to using the cvs store in prunedale, ca. When they had a problem, like an insurance misunderstanding it was taken care of promptly. I called in my rx for a rx and specified the time. I came in about 21/2 hours after my specified time for pick up and it was not ready. There was one register open out of three. After waiting for 20 minutes in line I was instructed to talk to someone else to ask why it wasn't ready. They told me false information on the dosage of my rx and that it won't covered by my insurance. I explained it had 5 refills and my dosage, which is covered. After five minutes of looking at the computer she said in one hour it will be ready. Not sorry for the mistake. So yes one star for a gentleman who is always courteous and polite. If it was a review on him it would be an a plus. He did say he was sorry it wasn't ready. Yet overall my experience has not been reliable, and does not meet my expectation of a good cvs drugstore. read more

At around 2:30pm I called to check if they had a couple things in stock. The first person I spoke to was really polite answering the phone saying "CVS on laurel where the costumer means everything" and told me they were going to transfer me to someone on the floor to help me with my question. I waited for a bit and a woman answers the phone with a very rude tone of voice, I simply said I wanted to check if they had something in stock and all she said was "what is it" I let her know what I was looking for and she asked me to hold on. I waited about 3 minuets until she came back on the phone. She told me they had the items in stock and I asked if she would please hold them for me at a register so I can pick them up later on today and not be upset if they ran out and so I can just run in and out, she then said in extremely rude voice "well I have a lot of people in line" so I said "well I'd really like it to be held at the register for me" and she said "ill just get someone else to do it" and hung up on me. I felt like such a burden for asking such a simple request! 1 star for the one nice person I spoke with and for actually having the items in stock. read more
